Yeah, it's ATI that got the shaft since it doesn't support hardware PhysX. Well, I managed to tweak the game and now the framerate is acceptable. So far, it's indeed a very intriguing game. Very clumsy and rough, but it got the irresistible "What's in the next room" anticipation feeling, which is a big plus.

Obsidian will never ever work on a EA/Bioware Ip again, unless EA/Bioware wants it -that means, never. Kotor 2 and NWN2 were tossed to Obsidian when Bioware was still independent.

Eventually started playing a bit Rage today. It's a pretty game and has some cool attention to detail (animations especially). Though it is very clear the game is a console shooter. Also what's up with the gun sounds? The shotgun gives you that saturated, satisfying WHOOM plus the echo, while the assault rifle that looks like an AK47 sounds weak and brassy.

I'm "mostly" pro-EU, but the way the EU parliament and the commission handle everything right now is a disgrace. The idea of a federalized Europe is good (as long as it isn't modeled after the USA, which would be a disaster), it's just that the quality of the leaders and the lack of courage to implement important but painful measures...is just not there.

It's not just viewport switching, son. If it was that simple, we'd have the option in virtually every "shooter" out there. Or do you want to play Gears of War in First-person view? Or Thief or HL or NOLF or System Shock 2 in third-person view? You certainly can, but it ain't gonna feel right.
