  1. Not women, they have special powers that allows them to get by with just tying the hair up. Forced shave just for guys, true story from FDF. (Couldn't do funnier, sorry) I don't think they modeled the Alliance Army of ME after the FDF. But I thought they had tougher appearance rules in the US Army, or at the very least, for the grunts. But whatever. I know it's just a game jadda jadda.
  2. Isn't Ashley's hairstyle kinda getting in the way for an infantry combat unit? I always thought they have to shave the head.
  3. Sounds like nothing compared to RockStar:
  4. In early December I think they got the Spike TV announcement for the new BioWare game, and some other stuff. There's never really the right time to announce something, so just friggin' do it Nooooouuuuu!!!
  5. That interview was actually rather...unremarkable? Make games that people wanna buy and keep is now considered a "new" business strategy? More like back to it's roots.
  6. Yes, humor is a very important part in GTA. It also happens to be that SR series is from an American developer, so maybe I just don't feel so fond of this sort of brutish and unrefined "humor".
  7. There are some games that do need a bit more time and investment to "warm up", but in the case of SR2, it's really not hard to make judgement. If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd, then it is not by any long stretch certain to say, it is a turd. @ C2B Daymn straight!
  8. I did play it a year ago, but only for 10 minutes. Yes, I can make a decision upon that, 'cause I know what too look at when making a decision whether investing more time into a crippled and dumb game or not.
  9. Manufactoring has always been global, or do you think a BMW is still completely produced in Germany? China, for the most part, only manufactors cheap low-level stuff, not the high-tech stuff. Like, always?
  10. I actually made the effort to watch a couple of SR2 gameplay movies to understand what all the fuss is about... Okay. The game looks dog**** ugly. I guess I can live with that. But the game also runs like a dog. I guess I can live with that too (hey, I managed to get through Cryostasis so why not) But the game actually plays and feels like a totally lousy amateur job, and that, meine Damen und Herren, is totally inexcusable for today's standards, not to mention for my refined standards. Final verdict: GTA >> SR
  11. People seem to be hitting between 5 and 10 hours on the dlc... Woah, sounds very decent. But I think I'm gonna get it at the Steam Holiday, right now I'm getting started with LA Noire and later Arkham City.
  12. As much as I admired the game, it feels the dev team ran out of time or energy 'cause the end later parts felt a bit rushed, the plots didn't quite wrap up as I wanted to be, and overall left too many questions unanswered. As for the DLC, how much playtime does it offer?
  13. Finished the game yesterday night...or rather early morning. Either way, pretty cool game. Also, some really really impressive decor and art. I'm also expecting the next DLC to be about "Why did they also have to remove my Willy? "
  14. Hope it's a proper game (i.e. no mobile or social browser bull****).
  15. Well, "empathy" maybe's not the right word, but you get their motivation.
  16. Making the driving more realistic, and thus less fun. Making insane stunts and persuits was one of the funniest things in the III series. In IV? Not so much. Same with gun firing and random killing. So, less fun driving and less fun killing. Don't know about you, but that kind of describes GTA to me. Hence the lack of fun in GTA IV. I don't know about you, but fun combined with realism is not a contradiction. Sure, if you're stuck in a wasteland and think you have to find water and drink every 10 min lest your character gets dead, then that kind of realism is not fun. But having really cool driving physics that just feels "right" (i.e. realistic), dealing with characters that you can have empathy with (i.e. not the "fun" bat**** insane moron type a'la Saints Row), then I endorse this kind of movement to more realism. But whatever mang, whatever.
  17. Because comparing a trailer and a single gameplay screenshot definitely gives the most even comparison! ...the GTA V trailer was also made out of gameplay? What's so hard for you to understand? Just look at it. The buildings looks like basic brushes you use for quick layout to test the map, I suppose they "forgot" to get in the final art assets. Let's better not start talking about the ****ty lighting...
  18. Is this game from 2002? Sorry, but after the GTA V trailer this looks just embarrasing.
  19. If it was Tranformers wouldn't that also mean Activision will be the publisher?
  20. Deus Ex HR. Arrived in Heng Sha. Very pretty sight. Is it just me or does the game lack a bit side quests? In Detroid there were only like 3 or 4 to complete, although with some deep branches. Also: Does Adam and Malick get laid in a happy ending? Please don't tell.
  21. Holy ****e please not Transformers....
  22. Yeah, but remember, every single GoW game outsold every ME game, and that Gears only being released on one platform sort of reinforces my statement. BioWare clearly wants to have the Gears players on their side. They're sucking up, that's my point.
  23. GTA IV was the only good GTA game. Not sure what you mean with "debacle" and "sucking the fun out of GTA". But I see there are people out there who enjoy cheap rip-off trash like Saints Row and think that is fun. Oh well...
  24. Yeah, also better char details and animations. It's a miracle how they can render all this stuff in realtime on 6 year old hardware...
