  1. First time hosting the NFCCG for Rodgers.
  2. I don't feel comfortable picking any of these games. Packers-Rams feels like the most likely game to tilt one way, but the Packers have lost to NFC West teams with great defenses in the playoffs so often over Rodgers' career that I can't feel good about this even though it's theoretically the easiest matchup out of everything remaining. Saints-Buccaneers is a toss-up but I tend to go with the team that smoked the other twice even though the Buccaneers have clearly gotten better over the last month. For some reason, I favor the Browns over the Chiefs - I'm not really sure why, though. Most likely, Browns will Browns it, but... Bills-Ravens is also a toss-up, so I guess I'll favor the home team.
  3. More like "probably better not to feed into patently and offensively absurd questions and those who ask them in bad faith". Who was that even responding to? Oh, it was me. Well, that just about figures, doesn't it?
  4. Yes, but this is Trump we're talking about. If it's never brought to his attention while he's watching TV or reading headlines on Twitter or whatever, it's probably a lot less likely to happen, . In regards to the insurrection, there's a lady that Twitter has been calling the Bullhorn Lady who was calling out specific instructions and telling people where whose offices were located where. Here's a picture of her on the left...and a picture of Lauren Boebert's mother (the QAnon House Representative who's been trying to bring guns into Congress and also tweeted out the location of Nancy Pelosi during the insurrection) on the right: Nancy Pelosi, just a little while ago today, announced that they'd be charging any Congress representatives who helped carry out the insurrection. Can't help but wonder if there's a little foreshadowing here.
  5. Mitch McConnell is telling GOP senators their decision on a Trump impeachment trial conviction is a 'vote of conscience' A vote of conscience? That's a new one from him, .
  6. I keep thinking that any charges on anyone involved should really be brought on the 21st, and not a moment before or after...
  7. We get achievements for which brand of hardware we own now? Gross.
  8. Not only that, but your offensive coordinator is Matt LaFleur from the 49ers too. That particular Shanahan branch of offensive coaches has been highly successful so far, interested to see if Matt LaFleur will be as well. @rjshae Quinn completely inherited the Legion of Boom, too - while they did play better under him than the previous DC they had, I've noticed over the years that a lot of coordinators who previously had great talent in their system aren't able to adjust very well when their talent isn't nearly as good.
  9. Didn't he already do that with his previous personal lawyer, Michael Cohen? Didn't that also have bad results? Clearly not bad enough since he's still the president, but you think you'd just pay the guy to prevent more crap from spilling out at this point.
  10. lmao, Deus Ex will never get old, but also, yes, I did not know Guard Dog was in Deus Ex Outgoing administration looting the White House before they leave?
  11. Yuppie Psycho. An isometric 2D indie horror exploration/adventure(?) game that is actually good. I say that because I've tried several other isometric indie horror games over the past couple of years, and they usually end up being very limited in scope, very linear, and fairly unsatisfying - this was the first one that felt like a genuinely good and complete experience. Also, the setting is bizarre - you're some rando poor in a near-future semi-dystopia trying to get on up in the world by accepting a new job at some corporation's headquarters...and the job you're hired on for is to slay a witch that's been haunting the premises for like the last 40 years, but also, the people still working here have kind of just gotten used to it, even though the entire building is a wreck and many of their co-workers just mysteriously disappear without a trace. Okay then!
  12. The only time I'm in favor of changing a 4:3 show to widescreen is if the show was originally filmed for it (or something approaching it, depending on the cameras used) but was forced to 4:3 as a result of when it came out. Very little animation (unless it had an actual theatrical release) was made for anything but 4:3 prior to widescreen becoming the standard, so it's usually impossible for that to happen. To be honest though, I don't really care whether something is 4:3 or 16:9 or anything else so long as it contains the complete picture (...unless the complete picture causes it to be ridiculously shrunk within the constraints of the resolution, I guess, but I've never heard of that happening).
  13. I'll have to keep up with what people think about the German BD, I guess. Even the newer Japanese BDs didn't seem to be held in high esteem, so I'm a little skeptical, but we'll see! And hey, 16:9 pillarboxed is significantly better than cropped 16:9 a la many other shows, so I'll gladly take that, .
  14. @majestic I did a whole big research thing on the BDs vs. the DVDs. The consensus seemed to be that the movies looked better on BD, but all of the show looked better on DVD. Well, besides maybe Sailor Stars, there wasn't a lot of information on that one (yet?) from what I could tell. Strangely, it seemed to also be the consensus that the Italian DVDs had the best quality out of the various DVD sources. I'm not really sure why that would be. I'll be sure to remember when that moment comes and see what they have to say in the English dub, .
  15. I'm only like 2/3rds of the way through R, so from here on out, you're gonna be way ahead of me, I guess! The good thing is, it'll probably take long enough for me to get to to S and SuperS that if you spoil anything in them, I won't remember what it was by the time I get to it. Whereas in contrast, I literally just met Saphir and Demande and now I already know their fates...buuut they seemed to basically just be Dark Kings clones, so it was kind of predictable that'd happen anyways.
  16. I was going to report both of you while calling each of you belligerent dumb***es if it went any further, but I guess that works too, . The great thing about reports is that you can say anything you want in them. Right? ...Right?
  17. And then McCarthy hired his old Packers DB coach, Joe Whitt. It's not that there's anything necessarily wrong with these guys, it's just...it's same old McCarthy doing the same old crap, and I just can't think this is going to really work out.
  18. Seems like an absolutely lousy choice. Mike McCarthy has been famous for picking or staying with bad coordinators he's friends with. I can't help but think the McCarthy isn't long for Dallas and this is all just a waste of several years.
  19. Yeah, if the Obsidian forums required my ID, even if they supposedly keep it private, I'd have gladly been gone without a word. Madness. (e): Also, apparently they had additional features for people who submitted their social security numbers? ...I don't see how this can possibly be true, that'd be just insane, but it is what I heard. (e): Photos for the IDs and stuff also weren't scrubbed of metadata, so you can literally find like geolocation data in the photos for each user, too...
  20. We (we being the hospitals in my local area, potentially across the state/country but I don't make so grand a claim as such) are having the exact same problem regarding vaccination compliance, literally right about the same place at around 50% refusal to comply as well. You guys have seen how many people die of this virus, you are working hands-on with everyone (including those NOT infected) and still go home to your families each day...what's wrong with all of you?
  21. For some reason, I can't find anything when I search for Biden with any of these characters. Huh, weird.
  22. Uh, okay, but no, I did not. All I said is Anya Taylor-Joy has been a great actress in the titles I've seen her in.
  23. Getting shades of latter-day Mike McCarthy-and-the-Packers with Pete Carroll...
  24. I'm not sure how I feel about the subject material (I like Chess well enough, but I don't care about it at all in a competitive sense), but Anya Taylor-Joy has been great in everything I've seen her in, and everybody loves the show, so it's difficult not to be interested.
