Well almost 😄, 1 million is approx 20 minutes now so it will be approximately 7-8 more hours of playtime. I am lucky, I can play few minutes a day when I am waiting on something, and doing anything else in that timeframe would be as much waste of time as this grind 🤷‍♂️ My speed is between 2 - 10 millions per month this way 😄

After finishing Rebel Galaxy, I am currently in gaming hiatus. I just do not know what to pick to play next. So I am just driving around in Assetto Corsa leagues and went back after looong break back to Fairy Fencer F insane 100 million 💰 trophy grinding. I am currently on 80 millions 💰

The good example of small scale openworld is also the Yakuza series. You can do pretty anything you like in almost any order, but you are always very close to the story and it does not take you 15 minutes to get where you want. On the other hand, Fallout 3 became to me one of the most boring games I have ever played. The only fun were the DLCs, which were "closed-world". But that made them very balanced and fast pacing compared to everything else in the vanilla game

I think it was posted here somewhere, but this sums up what sucks about OW game design pretty good.

🎺 - [sounds of fanfares in the background] - 🥁 After pretty long journey, I've finally finished main story-line of Rebel Galaxy from GOG. When I started it, I've really not expected, that I ever finish this game, but my long lost love for space simcades has successfully engulfed me and I moved slowly through all of the sectors pursuing the main story-line and missions to become neutral with local pirates . I was able to get all but one achievement. To shoot 500 torpedoes, which will be the most boring thing, if I ever decide to get it. Despite a lot of grinding for the Red Devils Pirates, I pretty much had a lot of fun with this game, and I am very sad, that almost no one is making these type of games . Thankfully Double Damage Games have released a prequel to this game, which I will be getting soon.

SO1 and SO2 are available on PSP, so probably, you can buy them on Vita Store, also I think SO1 had some remaster for PS4 and Switch. SO3 is available on PS2 or PS4 classics, SO4 is available on PS3, PS4 and Windows (or gutted version on 360), SO5 is PS4. So there are some options to play it. My recommendation, do not start with SO4. Even though I have platinum trophy and 750hours in it, it is has the most boring story of them all 😄

Back from toxic personae to Random Gaming News: Unfortunatelly, it looks like open world game again 😩 I liked Star Ocean 5 despite all of the cheesiness, but I spent as more time running around empty areas than fighting and reading the story together... Still kind of looking forward to this with small hope in the eyes. And I kinda hope, this will be story about Gabrielle Celeste and the Ethereal Queen. Will be probably disappointed though 😛

well, this picture is incomplete without putting an effort of breaking the demographics further into more specific platforms. Is my 65 year old father considered Gamer as well, when he boots up once a day solitaire or chess on his PC? Edit: Also, I am finding it manipulative, that the top AGE group is 36+. If they have chosen 18 years span for first two groups, they should have made another one with 54+ etc etc... (to busy at work to read whole article, so I am sorry if it is mentioned down there somewhere)
