<- avatar is the picture of the nightblade from ICE's PnP rpg Rolemaster. It's a spy/assassin character, whose primary statistics are agility and mental presence. It was the first PnP character I played in any rpg (back in 88), and I played it well, according to the DM. I was especially fond of the 'smokeflash' spell, which got me out of (or into) trouble in almost every adventure. As I grew up and started to go out, I had a tendency to leave parties every weekend w/o saying goodbye, simple b/c I hate long goodbyes, where you have to explain why you're leaving, or who you're leaving with. The rest of the crew would normally accuse me of having 'smokeflash'ed' out of trouble again. So, I guess I'm stuck with it.. ->

Neither the story, nor the game-engine, has anything to do with the game Baldur's Gate. Unless they decide to slap the Bg name on the cover, it's not Baldur's Gate 3. /me shrugs helplessly .. .. snif.. .. ..

What if they made a game called 'The Black Hound' - a fantasy roleplaying game set in the world of Forgotten Realms, and they provided you with this screenshot, would you see it as a second or a third 'something'? This was definitely something unique imho. *mumble*

TB vs. RT is like american football vs. soccer. I never really got used to watching american football. All they do is stand still, run for a few seconds, then stand still. Makes me impatient. I need some flow.

Heh.. I haven't even seen screenshots from that game. Decided not to touch it the moment I heard the name/title. "Lionheart" .. reminds of an old Van Damme movie. *shiver* [N]

Well, when I mentioned BG3 I didn't mean another IE game in the Bhaal Spawn saga. That series (and that engine) should rest in peace. I was thinking of another game set in Forgotten Realms, top-angle view, 5-6 person party. A game with lots of roleplaying oportunities. Jefferson wasn't just going to be another BG3, it was definitely something new. *shrug* [N]

Ack, I almost forgot. It's not only the dark clouds of KoTR'ness that obscures my Bg3 dreams, it's the FO club's FO3 fantasies as well. [N]

One scenario: - IP gets BG licence from Atari - Microsoft gets BG licence from IP - Microsoft has OE finish Jefferson - Microsoft lets OE create many nice and shiny crpgs for PC - I go to the store and purchase 'The Black Hound' - OE carries the torch [N]

I really like the layout of these fora/ums. Black and grey, and shades of blue on the OE logo. Really stylish. [N]
