Sure, you can do it. But if you play in the party, you can have another Chanter in your group and focus your main char on damage. For example I always multiclass Pallegina to a Chanter. That way she has huge utility. She's not a great damage dealer either way. Unfortunately, that's my problem, I just love chanter)

I haven't tried, but the shark soup should make you invulnerable to body afflictions (stun and petrified) If you have chanter a in your party (better Troubadour) try summoning - that worked for me, I had two chanters, so I managed to totally block the boss with my minions, while shooting. They (minions) were petrified and stunned, but the party was safe for most time.

I recommend trying Barbarian/Chanter, there is the obvious synergy between two classes: 1. Your reload speed is greatly increased by Ily chant (40%) 2. Under frenzy your cast time is greatly reduced, so you are able to summon really fast, but need to deal with confusion as well. The build is not as devastating, as builds with streetfighter, but there are so many of tnem, that you should try something not "fighting in the streets"

What stats did you try? With Berath's Blessings:Might 16 Con 10 Dex 16 Per 20 (17+2+ 1 from background) Int 18, for summon duration Res 10 But, I think it is viable to dump a bit Might and power Dex, as it is more useful in terms of the quick summoning Oh, guys, I'm totally sorry, I made such a stupid mistake. I thought, that was a question for me. Please, forgive me( No worries dude. Probably around the same setup u/ mant2si used. Though I am still curious. I’d played a ranged character before but it was so damn squishy. This looks like the play style I love. My only question is how it does vs. BOW dragon or fampyrs? I like the idea of a hard hitting tank who totes pistols. Sounds like a good time If you ask about Trickster/Troubadour - it deals absolutely well. If I understood it right, enemy AI usually concentrate on the targets which attack them. So fampyrs cast most of their spells on your summons, while your party is safe, so the right positioning is the best option. But you have to cast new summons before the old ones disappear in order to keep the enenmies away from your party. Plus if you use Summoned Weapons (bow, spear and sword from 7th PL) you'll find out, that they are good damage-dealers able to kill priests/wizards/druids. I also managed to kill BOW dragon easily. The most fun thing is that the dragon may cast its healing Concelhaut spells on your summons, you resummon and it's heal just disappears. Plus that's a good way to kill the Megaboss Spider)

You're wellcome) Unfortunately, I don't know, because the only guy in my party, able to use it was Tekehu, druid, so no abilities except spells. If you didn't bind Changeling's Mantle, you should try it, because you have to complete the fight in the arena to reach Tier 4, which can be only accessed with the Mantle (it appears after reaching Tier 3). And the fight is worth it. But the ability to transform dosen't feel as a satisfying reward at the moment, as it is too weak to use it effectively. Update: I've checked, that you can't use scrolls, potions and all the consumables, while transformed. If your equipment gives you some abilities, you can't use them as well. Know nothing about martial classes abilities.

Yeah, that's true, but all the bonuses to recovery speed from Dex, drugs, items, potions, spells, etc. - are applied to the reload speed, so does the bonus from Ila chant, so you really have 40% total bonus, just check it out. I think that's not the bug, but the feature of reload mechanics making the chanter one of the best shooters with firearms or other reloads in the game Are you doing this with a group or solo? Group, PoTD, no difficulty mods. I do not play solo, so can't say if it is suitable for it. Party Watcher(Ascendant/Troubadour), Eder(Swashbuckler with pistols) Xoti-priest Tekehu-druid and a Herald(Paladin/Troubadour) The thing is to use summons to distract enemies, while shooting, that seems a versatile tactic against all the enemies types, and does not require any particular equipment, although Red Hand is one of the best choices. Previous playthrough I used almost the same party, but the Watcher was Trickster/Troubadour. I came to the Spider-Megaboss before starting SSS dlc and killed her at first try, no deaths. It is possible to multiclass Troubadour/Any military class plus Cipher, that's why I like it

The name of the topic tells all the point. I just feel as the potential of the particular armor has not been fulfilled. I'll explain myself: Tier 1 bonus: summon a small pet, well, not OP, not the thing you can't live without, but good and absolutely nice thing for the first soulbound level, Tier 2: 10% recovery, good with no commentaries, Tier 3: class-dependant, ability to deal with the beasts in general, useful in some cases, but a bit situational. Tier 4: transform into an animal. That's the reason. I mean transforming into an animal is great in terms of the mantle, but it's not that useful and really lack some things, as for me: 1. Adequate description of the things the animal do, I only know that the spider casts web when hits, and the staelgar deals aoe damage (at least it seems like that) 2. Allow the player to choose the particular transformation, so that it could be reliable enough to use in certain circumstances 3. Let the animals' weapons (I mean claws, teeth, tusks, etc.) scale with character level just like the summoned weapons or druid spiritshifts. The basic damage and PEN are OK, at least not that bad, but the lack of accuracy make them useless against late-game opponents. 4. Make the transformations more unique. For example, decrease the duration of the transform, but give it a really good bonus, something like: Staelgar - great damage/speed/crit boosts, letting it crush enemies for the short period, Boar - exteremely fast regeneration (like 50/s), and Spider - mental web letting you charm enemies or debuff them. The point is to have an OP thing for 10-15 seconds 1/rest, which can be a lifesavior in certain cases, like the boss hit your druid, so he is near death, but transforms into a Super-Boar able to survive and giving you some time to deal with the boss or save the druid. Something like a scroll or a potion, if you want. So that Changeling's Mantle would feel useful, interesting, and the fight with the changeling would be really rewarding, being good anyway. What do you think of the Mantle? And if you have any suggestions, how to use it effectively in current state, tell me, please))) P. S. I actually expected a druid spiritshift, looking like a spider, but that's not the point to complain

Currently playing Cipher/Chanter (Ascendant/Troubadour) with the Red Hand. Ila gives you 20 % recovery and reloaded reduction, so the total bonus is 40 if you use weapons with need of reload! That makes you insane damage-dealer and can absolutely compensate the recovery from arquebus special ability, personally never turn it off. Plus you have summons and debuffs, and you are able to have second damage-dealer-shooter, as Ily gives bonuses to everybody in the area of effect

Eder-swashbuckler Tekehu-druid Vatnir-priest Pallegina-herald Watcher-harbinger (Trickster-Troubadour) All the fights were a bit challenging, but not so difficult. I found summoning weapons by the Watcher and Pallegina as the best tactics - spamming summons and controlling battlefield making foes deal with them, while Watcher and Eder were shooting. Used no potions, scrolls, drugs, POTD, no mods. Except the skull-potion, just wanted to give it a try. Ranged combat seems to be the most optimal thing, as the enemies hit hard and easily overcrowd you in the dlc. And the chanter is one of the most interesting classes, as is spells and especially SUMMONS (So great!) are endless, which is especially useful in the Survivor fights. By the way, monk with the ability to increase melee weapon range and a pike or staff hits almost as far as an arquebus.

Hello, I have come to the Ukaizo, siding with Republics and director Castol, but the guardian is missing and I have to fight only with the colosses. Also there is no dialogue with the guardian. (Scyorielaphas from Neketaka helped with him during the ship battle) I reloaded and went to the Ukaizo on my own, so the fight with the guardian took place, Scyorielaphas had not come in this case previously. Well, the question is, that's a bug? Or the part of the story, that Ukaizo guardian is stopped by Scyorielaphas? As I remember, you had to fight anyway, at least before the patch 3.

I am not sure if that is what you mean, but it’s in-campaign DLC. Reload a pre end game save (or whatever the latest save you have and go to your boat. You should get a message to chat with the Steward. Thank you, Wormerine, the problem is in the fact, that I'm not an English-speaker, so I play the game with another language, but the translation is terrible and is difficult to understand
