Game always crashes after intro sequence
The 'No-CD' patch with the graphics card you have on your laptop will garner those results. You need the real discs.

Stop threatning to make a restoration project of your own and make one, dammit! You promised us to work on it already by now... guess you're word isn't worth much? Exactly my thoughts. Where's that crack commando team of professional programmers you hired? Have they not reversed-engineered the leaked beta yet?

Side Quest help in KOTOR
Three Zalbars?! [insert generic Three Stooges joke] It sounds like your saved game is seriously messed up. It might sound cool to carry on with it as is, but there's a good chance your game will reach a dead end. Do you have any mods installed? After completing the Star Maps quests, a new destination should appear on your navigation computer.

Install from USB Drive?
Sounds sketchy. I once made image back-ups of the CDs to mount with daemon tools, however you still need the original game CD to run the game.

That must totally suck. Even without TG's mod, TSL is a wicked game. There are a host of other excellent mods. Your loss. The mod is not ready. There are game-stopping bugs and not all content (i believe) has been worked in properly. If you want to play a broken mod, why not play TSL as it is? No frustrating game stopping bugs in that one!

Mandalore's armor
With KSE you can alter his appearance with an unused model, allowing you to take off his armour. He's greyer and has a few more cuts on his face compared to KotOR. Only problem is that his voice doesn't change when you do that, so he still sounds like he's talking through an intercom.

I get the same deal, it's probably a website hick-up.

SecuROM wont patch!!!
How about you do a fresh installation of the game, patch it up manually and then contact SecuROM again about a new .exe?

Yeah, I'm of the same opinion, particularly since there a lot more experienced modders out there than there were 4 years ago. I suppose it might be an issue of trust though. They did kinda get burned with the beta leak.

Favorite and most powerful Sith, Dark Jedi, and Jedi
I like Samuel L. Jackson as a Jedi or Sith. Not Mace Windu, but Samuel L. Jackson.

Red Eclipse quest wont advance
Yeah, the squeeky guy can change your reputation on Nar Shadaa (he require a hefty fee, if I remember correctly) if you've been 'too good', but I think that's only so that you get asked to meet Visquis. I think just before it gets to that stage in the main quest, Atton (or someone else in your party) mentions you should probably check up on the Ebon Hawk, at which point you confront the Red Eclipse gang. So it could either be that you've not got a bad reputation enough to trigger the quests, or (more frustratingly) that your game save has been corrupted.

Game changing mods
As a rule of thumb, it's best to start games from scratch when you install mods that alter anything beyond skins, sounds or items, otherwise there is a good chance that older saves will produce errors later on. Usually however, the readme file that comes with the mod will say if you need to start from scratch or not.

swkotor2.ini Keymapping Question
Try the armband mods then. They do pretty much everything KSE can do and they work in-game.

swkotor2.ini Keymapping Question
Shorterm: KSE and mods are the way forward. You can achieve a lot more with them than with the console too! Longterm: Perhaps it is possible to change the keymap of the ~ key in Windows? Or maybe switching to a different language setting (the 'alt+shift' thing if you have any installed)? UK and US English keyboards have slightly different layouts, so that could be an issue.

swkotor2.ini Keymapping Question
If you are trying to get the console to work for cheats, check out KSE, a save game editor. You can find it here. You can do a lot more with it and it doesn't require you to remember the names of items If you want something you can use in-game though, there are a variety of mods that give you arm-bands that let you do pretty much the same stuff (with some limitations). You'll find them on filefront or other similar websites.

swkotor2.ini Keymapping Question
I believe the console is invisible in TSL, so try your commands anyway, they might be working. I don't know if you can remap and bind the keys though.

secret ebon hawk compartment
No, I don't think anything gets lost or erased from there after you've discovered it. Then again, there's no point in storing anything since it makes it unavailable for you in your inventory.

Sithspecter has undertaken a project to animate Revan's cape for KotOR. I don't think he's written a tutorial yet, but it looks good. He's got a thread on LucasForums about it.

Game will not start
You got to download the updates of the game from the official Lucas page, the auto-updater (I think) doesn't work anymore. The fixes in the updates are somewhat essential, considering how buggy the game is.

I'm sure there have been many accounts and opinion on the delays regarding TSLRP before, but it probably comes down to enthusiasm going down a couple notches after working on the same thing for all those years. The scope of the project as well is still a lot more in-depth and extensive than a lot of the other available restoration mods, so in a sense it will be more 'complete'. A lot of time/effort I pressume would have went into figuring out a lot of the skills that are now taken for granted, or for which there are a number of tutorials now. So basically, if say TG started their TSLRP based on what knowledge exists now, it would probably take less time.
