Just watched Five Deadly Venoms. Great classic martial arts film from Chang Cheh and the Shaw Brothers.

Year one is actually a retelling of batmans origin by Frank Miller. Of course the guy has gone bonkers and has become similar to judd winnick in that e always changes the characters to suit his morals. Well, he certainly made Jim Gordon a BMF. But it's interesting to see where the movie had drawn from the book, even though it's not supposed to be based on Year One at all, IIRC. Actually, DKR I think is more based on the events of "long halloween" than anything else. Which was written by Jeph Loeb. Yeah, I was talking about the similarities between Batman Begins and Year One. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Not to take anything away from DK the movie, I actually think DKR would have made a good movie on its own. In fact it probably still could. EDIT: Forgot to add I think I'll buy Long Halloween next time I go graphic Novel shopping. I did have a look at it on the amazon site.

^Right on. I couldn't bear talking to the wookiees in both KOTORs, not without turning down my speakers. But, reading their stories, doing their character quests, that I enjoyed. I thought they were written well enough, for Star Wars. That said, I seem to be one of the few who likes what I've seen from ME2 so far. Subject Zero kind of reminds of me the girl in the quest you do on the Citadel, if you play with a Colonist background. What she might become if she can't get past what happened to her. I know that's not possible but if I think about her in that respect, SZ could be interesting. And if not, I'll leave her on the ship. EDIT: typos

Just picked up 3 graphic novels: Batman: Year One, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, and The Watchmen. Bought them from Amazon. They'd been popping up on every "recommended shopping" list, everytime I went to the site, ever sine I bought The Dark Knight, back when it first came out on DVD. Resistance Is Futile. So far I've read Year One. It's really short compared to the other two. I've just begun Dark Knight today. I haven't read a comic book, let alone a graphic novel, in a very long time, but these are quite enjoyable so far. I can't help but make comparisons between Year One and Batman Begins. Edit: punctuation fail.

Evil Dead 2 is one of the best camp horror movies ever made ... But Bubba Ho-Tep is a very close second as my favourite Bruce Campbell flick.

What a save by The Monster in the 3rd period on a 2-0 break, to preserve the 2-1 lead for the buds. If this keeps up, and I am hoping it does, then I can only feel bad for Vesa.

I don't like characters that are supposed to be cool by ending every second sentence with bitch.Besides, Myron was in FO 2 and I have yet to meet someone who liked 'im. Myron was designed to not be liked. Most successful character design ever.

So, Is this game delayed or not?

Just got an e-mail from amazon.ca: Shipping date of July 5th would make it 5 days after the new projected release date for AP, which is about right for amazon, at least in my experience. Guess that makes it all at least semi-official. I'm still not cancelling the pre-order. amazon doesn't charge me anything until the item ships, so i'm not out any money. -
Jeez. Poor Steve. He said Hiyoooo at the end so maybe it wasn't him/he survived. Yeah, the vid continues on with a black screen right after the Hiyooooo, where a person i assume to be Steve describes his injuries.

Just picked up Storm of Zehir, and Borderlands is (so far) still slated to release on Oct 20th, so those will keep me busy 'til ME2 and Dragon Age arrive, which will in turn keep me busy til AP arrives next June, but damn, AP looks to be so much more entertaining than any of those. Ah well, it'll be worth the wait, whatever the reason(s) for the delay. -

I hope not. Amazon.com has some trailers on the AP page that I hadn't seen before. Made me even more stoked to play this game. EDIT: slow internet connection. that was a reply to alanschu's comment. -
As to the supplies, well, I'm guessing there were massive gardens/farms/whatever, on the unseen decks of the ship. Of course, at the end, the humans drank 'milkshakes' that tasted like whatever they wished, and it's implied that milkshakes are all they ingested. Maybe it was a soylent green kind of thing?

But see these are the two problems I have: one is that they can't be sculpting matter from refuse because the Wall-R's are dumping the refuse into space (leaving a trail behind the ship) which brings up problem two, namely that humanity doesn't learn its lesson - they're still polluting space! And if the captain is any indication they've forgotten that they even had a past to learn from, much less actually learned a lesson. well, it's a cruise ship right? The original voyage was only supposed to last several weeks/months while the Earth was cleaned up. The amount of waste dumped into space would be comparatively small. Actually it's still comparatively small given that space itself is huge. /Douglas Adams. Actually, the original voyage was supposed to last five years. The Axiom was the luxuary liner of all the Buy N Large cruise ships ("spend your five year cruise in luxury being waited on hand and foot by our fully automated staff"...-- or words to that effect). But, you are right, they haven't learned a thing! They are still polluting space by dumping their garbage, even if it is a realitively small amount given that space is so huge! Oops, my bad. I forgot the "five-year" part. Okay, well how much can one expect the human race to change in five years, particularly the small sample size who were picked to leave the earth? What gets me about it all is why the second or even third generation didn't realize something was very very wrong and do something about it then. Ah well they wey were being both pampered and inundated with Buy N Large brand consumerism the whole time, I guess. Anyway, since the robots were taking care of everything the entire time, after 700+ years the humans didn't even realize they were doing anything wrong, and were barely capable of doing anything at all.

Jeez, is it October 6th-27th yet? -
Looked to me like Steve was one of the guys getting shot. Poor Steve. I guess a cheery and helpful disposition gets old after awhile.

Funny to see some similarly named games in the list: the ever popular Planetscape: Torment. Planescape: Tournament, which might actually be fun, if it existed. Planet Escape: Tour. Plan An Escape, Mel Torme

Would this happen to be it? http://www.wischik.com/lu/senses/pst-book.html Is that the one where the Nameless One is given a name? Was based on pre-final release material IIRC.

I pre-ordered AP from amazon.ca - still has a release date of Oct 6th there - but I recently combined it with a pre-order of Borderlands so they'll ship together when both games are out. -
