  1. I'm glad to see love return to the forum Jedi Masters can be interesting if they are very powerful. In fact they could be the most difficult battle. Even more than the greatest Sith Lord because they can attack in groups without worry of the apprentice trying to kill them. I would love to see my Darkside Character face three Jedi Masters at the end but I might have to wait for the next game for that one.
  2. I think the light side needed the items to make up for more boring force powers. I would like to see some more interesting lightside force powers in TSL. I know they can't have too many force powers that directly attack someone but there can be cool force powers that don't directly attack. Like maybe a buff that uses Darkside force powers against whoever uses them. For instance, if someone drains my character when I have the buff on, they get hurt that much instead of healed or something like that.
  3. Jedi Master Revan. If that's you... your hot.
  4. I'm a fan of variety. But i use that variety through playing through my other times. For instance one time I'll play through getting as much strength items and what not. Another time through I'll grab all the wisdom items. Anything that makes the PC more variable is what I love.
  5. I'm playing some other games right now to help pass the time. I'm really starting to enjoy battlefield 1942. I also am playing through Warcraft 3. Sometimes I pop in a little dungeon siege. And when I get my KOTOR back I'm going to play it through one more time.
  6. I remember the stats for revan's robes were like strength plus 4. I forgot what the light sided revan robes were. Do you guys remember?
  7. I actually liked the fact that the lightside items were better. Because I think with those better items they could keep up with the darkside force powers.
  8. I bet you now all we are going to get is one more preview from the magazines and then the game will be released. I don't think they are going to give in depth stuff like prestige classes and the like.
  9. Disarming those mines did come in handy. It was a fun way to beat Darth Banon on Tantooine. Making him run through MY mine field, mwa ha ha.
  10. Just got the new Computer Gaming World in the mail today (aug. 16). No news or anything about KOTOR 2. Arghhhh. The pain! Guess it's up to the internet sites for breakthru news or (shudder) the november issue of pc gamer.
  11. Agreed. The only thing I have against KOTOR is now I don't have as much fun playing first person shooters because they don't seem as fun any more <sigh>. Oh well when KOTOR 2 comes out I'll be happy.
  12. One thing I know they did in Kotor for scaling was in Tantooine. If you chose Tantooine first the sand people who ambushed you were normal. If you chose tantooine later the people who ambushed you were elite sand people. With all those feats and powers to choose from this time around there are to ways to think about it. Either you give us like level 40 so we can have about 40 force powers (and even more for consular). Or you could still keep it at 20 and thus increase replayability. I don't know about you but in the original KOTOR when I went light side I chose only light or universal powers. When I went Dark I only choose Dark and universal powers. If the cap is 20, I'll just pick light side powers when i'm light and dark when I'm dark. I should still be able to see most of the force powers I want that way.
  13. Do you guys know why in the KOTOR manual Jolee has a blue lightsaber and bastila has a green one?
  14. I'm glad to see Canderous is doing well. He was my favorite. And if he's in the second one he automatically will be my right hand man.
  15. Interesting. Sounds pretty good. <sighs> I think it's time to play KOTOR through one more time.
  16. I would have liked more background on Revan. It's nice to know about your PC if not they become the most boring character in the game. You tend to like the other characters more than your PC because you feel like you know them more.
  17. After reading some of the talk about who Sion is and about the other Sith Lords and how they are going to be very powerful, I now think it makes sense to go higher than 20. I always thought that Malak felt more like an apprentice than an actual Lord so him being at level 20 makes sense. But since the Sith Lords are probably going to be more scary in the story this time around they should also be more powerful stat wise as well.
  18. I guess your right. I just enjoyed how the levels were spaced out in the original Kotor. It was just long enough for me to say "I'll play till one more level". I have faith that obsidian will space out the levels good too so that we don't get like 3 level ups during one side quest for instance.
  19. What I'm concerned about is being a character with 600 vitality points (or with consular like 600 force points. It just doesn't feel like a living person who can take 50 blaster shots without dying.
  20. (jokingly) how bout they get squaresoft?
  21. I wouldn't mind 25 to 30.
  22. I'm going to go with the good old fashioned level 20.
  23. I myself would not be upset if they said they were going back to the 20 level player cap. In fact I think I would be happier.
  24. Yeah it sounds a ways away. Because they said the gamemakers weren't sure to build an engine from scratch or license an existing one.
  25. Due to all the great thoughts brought up in this posts I will tell Akari to go ahead and remove it (we're tight like that). <Sigh> Guess this will be a good time to introduce my latest idea! The new top secret Death Star Firing Codes! A planet giving you trouble? No problem! We can take care of that.
