  1. It wasn't what I would call stellar.
  2. Except in the case of Neverwinter Nights, which the original was a Forgotten Realms DnD online game and "remake" is a Forgotten Realms DnD online game, then no not really. Never had any interest in HoMM. There is growth and there is just using a name to sell more copies. Baldur's gate 1 to Baldur's Gate 2 is growth. Neverwinter Nights 1 to Neverwinter Nights 2 is growth. Fallout 2 to Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is not growth.
  3. If a game is using a name that has been used on past games it should at least be made in the similar vein and style of the original. They are only using the Might and Magic name so they can sell a few more copies they wouldn't have if they made the game to rest on its own name. Games that are based on another game in name only are not worth playing. That goes for the Baldur's Gate and Fallout console titles. That goes for that Bard's Tale POS that Brian Fargo made. The same will apply to this game and the Fallout Bethesda is making.
  4. No, not all. Just 8 and 9.
  5. OLD FOGEY GAMERS UNITE!
  6. Still looks like Might and Magic in name only. Meh.
  7. I was in high school when I messed with the Apple ][e.
  8. Well, I don't want to really show my age. I remember CGA as well, and the Apple ][e. Hell, I use to game on a Vic 20.
  9. Close, Jags. It looks like a graphics whore game that will have little in terms of story development and gameplay. Also I just can't get excited over a console game. Overall it just doesn't look all that impressive to me.
  10. The Fight Song- Marylin Manson I'm not a slave to a God that doesn't exist. I'm not a slave to a world that doesn't give a sh*t!
  11. Meh.
  12. Ah, the days when EGA was state of the art... Man, I am really old. Anyway, I think that it will be the games that will determine who will be top dog of the next generation of consoles, not raw power of the machines' specifications. The one with the most innovative and fun games will be the victor, not the one with the fastest procesor or the beefiest drive, and whatnot.
  13. True, but when I play a game, particularly a CRPG, I play the game to the fullest even if I have played it a hundred times before. Its like reading a good novel. You just don't skip the first 30 or so chapters so you can get to the end.
  14. If he was he would be playing Might and Magic 9.
  15. Yeah, man, do you remember the days of 286? Those were the days, weren
  16. i don't see the point of doing speed runs in a crpg.
  17. In the short run the US economy will suffer for it but in the long run we would have overcome it and the economy would be back on track. Also, tell me this. What is more important, human rights or a full belly? I pick human rights.
  18. I do so I don't buy them. I will not buy anything from China if I can help it and I do not buy from businesses who predominantly sell Chinese goods, like Wal Mart.
  19. The way I see it is that if a country does not hold the same values of human life and freedom we should simply have nothing to do with them. We don't interfere with the workings of their government or people, we simply just won't deal with them at all. If they change their ways we go back and start have relations again, however we should not invade another country or use military force in a situation unless there is a clear and present danger against the United States citizenry on U.S. soil.
  20. Nartwak doesn't like me? *sniff* :'( I am 5' 7" but my military records say 5' 8". I didn't ask. When I have a craving for something I satisfy that craving. In previous diets I never did that and eventually the cravings became to much and well, I buckled. This time if I have a craving for something I fulfill it but I don't go overboard. For example if I get a craving for white chocolate I get a White Chocolate Kit Kat and only eat half of it and either store the other half in the fridge til I get another craving or I throw it away. Oh, I am trying to be a more cheerful guy around here as well. I don't think I want to go all Mel Gibson on you folks again.
  21. Well, for the most part I have eliminated my fast food eating. No more McD's, Burger King, and Wendy's for me. Its been a month and a half since being in a fast food restaurant, though I never understood how or why people like the Big Mac. I think it is one of the most disgusting sandwiches ever made. I even eat out sparingly to normal restaurants now, but once in a while I get hungry for a burrito from Flying Burrito. Of course if I have one of those that is all I am eating for the day. I have drunk more juice and milk (2% to Skim) than anything else so I think I have kicked my pop addiction. Food wise I think I am pretty much set.
  22. I do not like the chinese government nor will I ever like the chinese government unless they do some major reforms that opens up tot he freedom of speech and the press as well improve their track record on human rights. I will never forget nor forgive the massacre of Tienemen Square. What got me was Bush Sr. repsonse to it. Instead of doing what would be right and ending trade and diplomatic relations with that government we give them favored trade status. Appeasement indeed.
  23. Tech specs are irrelevant. Only the games matter.
