  1. I always took that line as distance.
  2. Thanks to the prequels the SW universe is FUBARed anyway so why not make it complete.
  3. Too bad it wasn't Yoda, Anakin, and Obiwan.
  4. I rather just play a halfling rogue.
  5. I am not going to play a game I don't like. I have played PS:T twice and its a good game for what it is, but lets not overlook its weaknesses. Or worse yet, mistake its weaknesses as strengths.
  6. My PnP Star Wars character, a droid combat pilot (prototype droid that mixed the abilities of a astromech droid and a combat droid) had a bipolar energy blaster that popped up on his right arm. Visually he looked like Colossus (X Men fame) fully metalled up. Lt. Commander Halberd was not one to mess with and killed quite a number of Imperial soldiers and fighter pilots. We were redoing the Battle of Yavin and I had Luke's back instead of what's his name. When Darth Vader and his crew came in I pulled a full reverse and Darth Vader and his wing flew right pass then I gunned the engines again. I opened up and killed Vader's wingmen and rammed Vader with my ship, killinghim, and ejected. I used a magnetic grappler (never leave home without one) and struck Luke's X Wing and flew out with him as the Death Star exploded.
  7. I heard that the XBox2 is suppose to be very close to the PC. Frankly the OS of the XBox 2 and the next Windows OS is suppose to be the same. If I am wrong on that, somebody correct me. :D
  8. When they make a game that has the story aspects of PS:T but allows me to play my character instead the developer's then that will be a kickarse games.
  9. Every game has its strengths and weaknesses and just to be fair I will list the strengths of KotOR before answering your question. KotOR Strengths: Very involving and well written story. Graphics and music that really draws you in. Memorable characters such as HK-47 and Mission. It is hands down the best Star Wars game I have ever played. Now to address your question one of my favorite games of all time is Fallout 1. It allows the player to create any type of character, from a melee monkey martial artist (though Fallout 2 is better in that regard). to a heavy weapons expert or even a diplomatic pacifist. The story options allow the multiple ways to beat the game, through guile, diplomacy, or by combat. If you haven't played it I suggest you do. Fallout 2 isn't as good but also worth a play. Baldur's Gate 1 and Baldur's Gate 2 are two games that is acceptable in its PnP translation and allows the player to make a character as he or she wants to play within the context of its rules system. Just avoid ToB. Also if you do get both get the BGTuTu mod. BGTuTu allows you to play BG1 using the BG2 rules. Also it has plenty of challenge to the game.
  10. Range weapons as well as light sabers should mirror the power level they have in the PnP game.
  11. The weaknesses of KotOR are: Lack of full character creation in comparison to the Star Wars d20 PnP. Poor implementation of the PnP rules. The linear nature of the story. The lack of the ability to just explore a planet or region of space. The complete and total non-challenge of a game.
  12. Never apply logic to an illogical situation.
  13. Okay folks. I think we have picked on Tyrell long enough. Lets get back on topic. I am ready to not get this game.
  14. Then the game would be worth $35 USD.
  15. Tyrell went to the Microsoft school of Public Relations. :D
  16. BG2 length would be nuts. As long as the game has 1 hour per USD spent it would be of proper length. A $50 hour game needs to be at least 50 hours long.
  17. Might does make right, but those who are in a weakened and desparate position have the right to do anything and everything they can against the aggressor's might. Both Israeli and Palestine are right in their battles, but both are wrong.
  18. Tyrell, there is only so much one can write about in Star Wars.
  19. True, but they lost the rights to that land centuries ago and Israel indeed has the right to take it by force and kill all the Palestinians for their land just as much as the Palestinians has the right to use whatever means they can to kill the Israelis.
  20. You don't compromise with invaders and again the UN is seen as an invader, as the enemy, and no one in their right mind would want military "help" from the enemy.
  21. Sure didn't look that way in KotOR.
  22. You where impressed by Wing Comander 4!!?? The DVD version for the PC had a helluva lot of options how the story could go and the acting and story wasn't half bad. Add to the fact the game itself was quite fun.
