  1. I agree. You have to be very slow to hit the 40 hour mark. Like I said, my first time was 34-38 but now I could beat the game, on average, less than 20.
  2. Thing is ENdar, I don't hold human life any more important that seal life, or dolphin life, or penguin life. Just because we can harness the power of the atom does not make use any more important or less important than any other species on this planet.
  3. Okay. Sheesh. Fallout, Planescape Torment, Fallout 2, Ultima 4, Baldur's Gate 1, Baldur's Gate 2, Ultima 7, Jade Empire, Arcanum, Morrowind. Happy now?
  4. That was a very well done side quest. I have to say kudos to Bioware on that one.
  5. I like nested plotpaths. The need to do a game that has the main quest nested like that.
  6. How many times do I need to post up my 10 most favorite games in order for people to see that I do like games. Grrr....
  7. I have to agree with the Jagster on that one. If K2 was a completed game it would have won easily, but as it stands now officially it is subpar to JE. As for game length I played it as long as I played KotOR 1. About 34 to 38 hours.
  8. I not only look at the actions, but the motivations behind those actions. The act itself is irrelevant. It is the motivations which guides and fuels the actions is what matters. Oh, don't get me wrong, I have a severe dislike for all organized religions, I just have to deal with Christianity the most. "
  9. Yet, the boy is trying to exert his will over something that occured naturally. The human race is over populated, over industrilized, and overly destructive towards its own species. In the grander scheme in the life cycles of this planet, it would be better off if there were less humans mucking things up.
  10. I don't know about deeper but I did like JE story better than KotOR. Malak maniacal laughter was just too annoying and the combat system in KotOR was just impossible, especially in the Star Forge. Also this is Bioware. When did they ever make a difficult game? Expecting Bioware to make a hard game is like expecting Hell to have air conditioning.
  11. I have studied the tenets of Christianity and its 2000 years of history. I know what the religion teaches, how its followers act, and the history. I have studied the social dynamics of the religion and the actions that their members do and most likely will do. I also had extensive personal relations with members of the religion as well. I do not base my dislikes on ignorance. Like I said on the topic on hand that human nature has shown itself again. People are looting and taking advantage of the situation down in hit areas to elevate themselves. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=100...id=aUMJQd128EJc
  12. I just hope the minigame in JE 2 would be more Dragonfly shooting, but this time more like Afterburner than Galaga.
  13. Eldar, people die all the time. Its only a matter of how and when. It is no more depressing than waking up from a midafternoon snooze. There are more than 6 billion people on this planet. A thousand here and a thousand there dead isn't going to change anything in the grand scheme of things and we are in no danger of becoming extinct. In fact, Eldar, we have more people alive and kicking than there has ever died in recorded history. 2 to 4 Billion people dead at once would be depressing and alarming.
  14. Yes, Jade Golem was an overly strong ability but play the game in Grand Master mode. It makes the game more enjoyable. Of course you get JG pretty much at the end of the game so it doesn't really matter. Never really used either. I just didn't like using the shape changing powers.
  15. Eldar, if I listed every single reason why I hate Christianity you guys would ban me anyway for spamming so I decided to just use three simple words. Saves on space and time. As a student of history and religious studies, as well with real life experiences I have came to that conclusion. Throughout history Christianity has been marred by violence towards others who don't believe as they do. Some would say that is the same with all religions but Christians tend to be blind for their own transgressions and try to make themselves look like the victims. Turn the other cheek indee. Anyway to get back to the topic at hand, true human nature has started. Let the looting begin.
  16. I like many things, Ender, just not POS games that are based on a setting and game rules in name only. If you are going to make a game based on a setting and rules THEN FREAKING USE THEM!
  17. That would only work if you have the game on easy. If you have the game on grand master mode a little strategy would be necessary to win. Also what exactly is bad about the game's combat? It is simple, straightforward, and ets the job done. What more do you want out of a real time combat system?
  18. Didn't like those either.
  19. Yes, indeed. I have a baby Darth Sidious plushy just waiting to be cuddled. BWAAHAAAHAAAAAA! ...pickles... yumm....
  20. If a game is screwed up enough that it needs a patch on a console its just best to either return the game for a refund or trade. Besides with the tech support KotOR 2 got, which is next to nil, it didn't matter if KotOR 2 was on console or PC except the fact that the console version can be returned while the PC version can't.
  21. FIND IT! BUY IT! PLAY IT! Know the Fallout, feel the Fallout, make love tothe Fallout!
  22. That is why I did not play it nor have any intention to get it. Even at twice as long the game still wouldn't be worth the money.
  23. That is why Consoles do not suck because its all in a nice premade package which one doesn't need to worry about hardware incompatibilities. They can just play the game. Thank you for proving Jag is right. *whispers to himself*My diabolical plan worked. Tee hee. YOU LOSE!
  24. I never get tired of seeing Hades bring up completely unrelated arguments to make an absolutely random post in a totally pointless manner. Yes Hades. What you say is true. But the game was exactly the same for the Xbox, if not worse. So shut up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We are discussing the patch or the serious lack there of. After all that is the point of this thread. Also the merits and demerits of console versus PC has arised in this discussion. KotOR 2 for the X Box has this one thing that makes it superior to the PC version. You can trade it in for a different game. Not random or pointless, but relavant to the thread and to the forum at hand.
  25. JE has a safe formuliac story set within an addicting gameplay format. For a game that is Bioware's first serious attempt in an original title and setting I think they did pretty well. JE was never meant to be innovative, but a test for Bioware to see if they are ready to do such games.
