  1. I think that Deadly Silence was the RE that you play as an Umbrella Soldier in some hand gun style shooter similar to the Time Crisis arcade games.
  2. Both are a pain to do any sort of modifications to. I mean that one Mac that is has a computer and monitor in one. How the hell do you do any sort of significant upgrades? or how about the Mac Mini? The mac Mini is about the size of a Gamecube, if not smaller. Close enough for government work.
  3. Consoles. Macs. Whats the difference? *tee hee*
  4. Not according to Epiphany.
  5. Man, I wish I knew my dad. :'( So I can kick him in the jimmy!
  6. Okay, it will give me something to do over the weekend. I'll make a full rules system and pair it down to what you need in this scenerio.
  7. Just that bad stuff happens doesn't mean there is no god. Just because good things happen doesn't mean god exists. Stuff happens for no reason, plain and simple.
  8. I started DMing in the days of the red book Dungeons and Dragons and I have to say the d20 System is a good system for PnP. It is easy to learn for newbies while let the vets strut their stuff. Also it is very maleable. Such as I could create an alien world in the Star Wars d20 and have some of the nasty critters in the Monster manual 3 be in it and do very little conversion.
  9. Like I said, I have no problem with a 30 to 40 hour game. I just have a problem being a god after only 30 to 40 hours of gameplay. I need to have at least 100 to 150 hours of gaming with the same character to justify him having godlike power of a 20th+ level character.
  10. Sewers RULE!
  11. So? 20 levels in 30 hours is not balance. For proper level advancement there needs to be experience and time. Raw experience for the participation of events and time to reflect on those events to learn from the experience. That is how leveling is balanced in the d20 System, or for any role playing game system for that matter. Rapid leveling removes the instance of time and makes the game an unfun levelmilling.
  12. 20 levels in 30 hours using the DnD rules set can never be balanced.
  13. I find many games fun, but not many games balanced. I am looking for a challenging, balanced, and fun game. Being 20th level in 30 hours is definitely not balanced. Frankly that is very lopsided.
  14. I just hope Iran doesn't let the US bully them into submission.
  15. BOOM! BOOM! SHAKE THE ROOM! (w00t)
  16. Arkan is right about that. Thing is most people can't just accept things happen for totally random reasons. There has to be some power at work for why things happen the way they do. Some people just can't handle the truth that this is a totally random and uncaring universe and always look for something to explain the unexplainable.
  17. Okay then. Lets have three basic stats then. Physical Mental Movement For simplistic aproach these values could be from a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Physical will be the basic physical power of the character and would determine use of weapons and damage scale. Also a good gauge for the critter's overall health. Mental would determine the intelligence gauge of the AI as well as determine the sensory capabilities and how well they are awareof their environment. Movement would just determine how fast the character involved is. Skills involved should be simple as well, also ranging 1 through 10. Melee (Physical): How well one uses melee weapons. Range (Physical): How well one uses range weapons. Track (Mental): How well one will be able to track its prey. Senses (Mental): Measures how well one can see and listen things around him. Sneak (Movement): How well one can sneakily move around. Basically add the skill rank level to the stat level and that is the overall bonus of the character to do that act. Now you can have a static system which has no random factors and just have it be raw skill and stat, like Bloodlines, or add in a random value of an additional d10 then add in stat and skill. Armor can give a damage reduction, stronger the armor the less damage the critter takes. Also stronger the weapon the more damage you do. Also range weapons should have a penalty to the hit or damage chance as one is farther away from its target. For each critter killed in this scenerio one can get a single improvement point. One Improvement point could be used for a skill, or use 2 improvement points to raise a stat. Sorry about the randomness here I am kind of in a rambling mode.
  18. You were going to make grenades as melee weapons if I remember correctly. I agreed with most of the changes, but grenades are not melee weapons!
  19. Wow, and I thought I was cynical.
  20. Of course they are.
  21. tee hee! You know, I got a small bottle of Jack Daniels for my birthday. I should guzzle it down then start posting. The results might be hilarious.
