  1. Well, then we get all the mental midgets posting here that sya "OMGZ KoTOR 3 BEING MADE!" or some crap like that for they see it as truth. It is not a news site to predict what will happen but to report what did happen.
  2. The only thing I wished for IWD2 was the chance to join the twins efforts.
  3. Its rumor and until the game is officially announced all rumors are useless speculation that is best ignored.
  4. And you could use a breath mint.
  5. I killed 2 PCs and had the rest of the aprty badly wounded. They did win that initial encounter thanks to a well placed Lightning Bolt from the mage. The main front line fighter charged in with his two handed sword just to become vapor due to a critical hit from a laser cannon.
  6. What do you think they used in KotOR 1 and 2? The Odyssey Engine is just an upgraded Aurora Engine which was used in NWN 1.
  7. If Obsidian is going to make a KotOR 3 I would like them to use the NWN 2 engine and beefit up a little and give the PC side a toolset for it.
  8. Hey, don't knock the alien invasion scenerio for a fantasy campaign. I ran the box set module "Tale of the Comet" in a old 2e ADnD game using the Forgotten Realms and it was a blast. A space battle over the heads of a remote village in the Silver marches caused to alien crafts to crash land nearby. The players were so freaking flabberghasted when they saw robots shooting lasers at them.
  9. The closest you will find to d20 Real time is the NWN and KotOR games. Seriously. The core mechanic of the d20 System combat requires rounds due to the way it is handled. Unless they completely change the combat rule mechanic there is no way it can be real time, and if they are going to change it that much they shouldn't even use the d20 System as its base. I rather have an original rules system than a mismatched d20 System.
  10. What does Jade Empire have to do anything with the d20 System? Only reason why KotOR 3 needs to use the d20 System is because the previous 2 games did. Consistancy needs to be maintained. If they want to use a different rules system for another SW CRPG, let them. Just don't call it KotOR.
  11. Creepy? What is so creepy about enjoying the death of others, bathing in their blood, and feasting on their entrails?
  12. The combat system does need work and as long as the improvements stay within the boundries of the d20 System then I am all for it.
  13. Hey, a game needs to be consistant with the rules it uses;. KotOR uses d20 System. Every kotOR game needs to be consistant inthat If they want to make their own rules for the next Star Wars CRPG then more power to them. Just don't call it KotOR. You just don't change the rules of the game in the middle of the campaign. That is just bad GMing.
  14. I should try to make an Elven Ninja in NWN. A few levels of rogue and monk with the Assassin prestige class. Or should I go Fighter instead of rogue...
  15. Okay: Fact: A rubber ball will bounce off your head if thrown hard enough. Now record that sound and play it. :D *tee hee freaking hee*
  16. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE! *slices DeathScepter's head off* Oh, wait. Wrong movie. Sorry about that.
  17. No, J.E. was. In all seriousness I did like many aspects of IWD 2 and for the most part I think it is the best 3e game currently out. Hmmm... I should make that party of halfling monks. That could be interesting.
  18. I did. :'(
  19. The only game that I know that plays against itself and does well at it is that screensaver called Dungeon Siege. Man, that was a major POS game.
  20. He plays online, I don't.
  21. Knights of the Old Republic uses the d20 System rules set, abeit modified. That is the foundation of which the game is based on. If you take that away and do whatever you are proposing you simply will not have kotOR. You have a totally different game with the KotoR name. Games that are like that are automatic crap in my book. What prevented BT from being a CRPG? Well the whole premise behind it. What makes it not a CRPG? Play the originals and your will see quite plainly yourself.
  22. Selling better does not equal a better game. Look at britney Spears. She sold millions of records, that doesn't mean she is a quality singer. In fact, she is also crap. I have no problem with them making an action oriented Star Wars CRPG, but they better not call it KotOR because that isn't what kotOR is. That new version of Bard's Tale is bard's tale in name only and a craptastic game in of itself.
  23. No. I would consider it in the same catagory as BGDA. I catagorize it as crap.
