I guess so. Anyway, I feel like playing a gme but I can't figure out which one. Sick and tired of NWN. Hmmm... Maybe I should play some Fallout. Fallout online NWN style would be kind of fun. Actually if they made Fallout in the graphical representation of NWN/NWN 2 with the option of true turn base and real time, along with a full tool set that would kick ass.

Listen, when a developer says they want to go a certain route in a game and have the clout to do so I think it is a safe bet tis going to happen. Bethesda has the money and clout to do anything they want within one of their games. They have a style and a style that their fans expect them to contineu in each of their in house games. I expect them to continue in that style for it is something they are comfortable with. Just because they have the Fallout license doesn't mean they are going to give up that style in which they present their games. I do not expect them to nor see it happening for Fallout 3. I like Morrowind, and I know I will have a kick out of Oblivion, but just because I will enjoy those games and the style they are presented in doesn't mean I will automaticcaly enjoy Fallout 3 presented in the same style. It wouldn't be Fallout. I will support Bethesda as long as they make games I will like but from their style and the admission of those in charge Fallout 3 will not be a game I will spend money on.

Like I said, I am going by the statements that Howard and Hines have already said. By their own words they made this game unpalatable to me.

I have wrtten it off by what Todd Howard and Pete Hines have said about what they want to do and how they are going to make this game, not just because they are Bethesda.

Personally I liked Morrowind and it looks like I will be enjoying Oblivion as well. That doesn't mean I want Fallout 3 done in that style. It just wouldn't be Fallout.

If someone makes a Star Trek CRPG I hope they use the TNG era and a version of the PnP rules.

All I want out of Fallout 3 is a good story driven CRPG that uses the SPECIAL rules system, that lets me play in true turn base fashion at 3/4 camera angle, and stay s true to cannon Fallout as much as possible. That is it. If they want to make it that the world is in full 3D which allows the player multiple camera angles and a real time option, then so be it. Just as the options I look for is there I'm happy.

For me it doesn't matter if the developers are different. For me that isn't the issue.

I do not have the f**king game pre-ordered. If I had the f**king game pre-ordered I would have taken that money back so I can pay bills that I am behind on since being unemployed for a f**king month.

Which is exactly my point there <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I only bought the X Box version, which was a $10 used copy, after I played the PC version and beaten it, and after the fact that I liked the game. I however did not buy the PC version.

I would be glad to give Bethesda a chance withthe TES games. I am more than willing to give Bethesda a chance for them to make their own original Post Apocalyptic game. However, a game and setting that is established is a totally different animal. Like I said, I didn't buy KotoR 2 for the PC.

Hey, no need to be defensive, Shadowstrider. Bethesda is in the business to make money and the Fallout name will no doubt sell more than if Bethesda did their own PA game. Just don't expect me to buy it. Darque: I didn't buy KotOR 2, at least not initially.

You recalled incorrectly. KotOR 2 was very close to design and gameplay to KotOR 1 therefore not crap by default. It looks the same with NWN 2.

I have accepted this and why I will not spend my money on the game. It will be Fallout in name only therefore by default be crap.

Darque, I have already read a nearly everything Todd Howard and Pete Hines has said about Fallout 3 so far. By their own statements the answer is no.

Okay. Shadowstrider, you should know what I would expect from Fallout 3. This is just a simple yes or no answer. Will it be Fallout as I expect Fallout to be? Yes or No.

If you know you are going to hate it why waste the money and buy it?

Lets just drop this nonsense alrgiht. SOme of us think that bethesda will do a good job. Some of us think that they will do an ever worse job than FOPOS did. So be it. We have different opinions on this and neither side will change the minds of the other. Only thing I know for any amount of certainty is that I will not waste my money on that game.
