Hylea's talon and Avenging Storm are "weapon's features" ; an attack with effort proc one lightning et potentially a wound. Effort can be upgraded with Hemorrhaging, that hobbled or Sicken the target on crit. Hemorrhaging can crit, it is against fortitude. Effort's Hemorrhaging work on any crit, from spells, weapons's abilities, chants... and the effect is a weapon's attack. I dont know for hylea's talon, but Avenging Storm's lightning can crit. SC druid become a monster with Effort: Wicked Briar, Retentless Storm and Nature Terror can crit twice per 3s (for each effect the spell have), Venombloom 3times per 3s, each crit proc Hemorrhaging, that proc 1 lightning from Avenging Storm, so 1 inspiration from Least Unstable Coil , and potentially one wound. Hemmorhaging and the lightning can both crit, that mean chain-lighning. With scroll of Avenging Storm, Chanter can transform their chants into lightning tempest too, cipher can turn big AoE spells like Phantom Foes on damage, and Beams into potential Per 1s Chain-Lighning. Beguiler are truly monsters with high arcana and +20 acc (Borrowed instincts) +10 (Helm of the White Void) +10 (the Empty soul), a Soul Echo and Shared Nightmare for SC etc. Others casters can be also Efforted, but cipher and chanter have infinites ressources, that is why I speak about in particular. The Mage Slayer 's Spell Disruption is also applied on every crit, the Hemorrhaging form effort is a melee attack

Scordeo Edge's Double Strike (5% instant recovery on hit) and Tempest (10% instant recovery on hit) work with any attacks ; Sungrazer Return (10% instant recovery on hit) too ; Effort Hemorraging (Hobble or Sicken)with any crit, Xoti's Sircle Soul Reaper (+5%damage) with any kills. Instant recovery is cool with chanter as passive !! If Frostfall is equipped in main hand, the other weapon (like a wand or other) or their abilities proc Dispersed Suffering on kill.

With a party assist, it is maybe convenient, otherwise confortable, to specialize any character : I have a SC transmuter in the Inn, he is great to play. But he is a disabler, not a freezing Wizard : I'm agree with Not So Clever Hound, if you focus on freeze damage your build, No Subclass or Bloodmage as MC/SC wizard is top!

Maybe you could take some inspiration with the Outworn Buckler Timeless ; there is 2 chapters, the first for everyone and the second to Darcozzy Paladini with the lign "Boolean HasSubClass(Guid, Guid)","Parameters":["011111e9-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","defccfb6-5567-4982-a495-3bed39997158"] , that override the other chapter, for else. edit : {"FullName":"Boolean AreGuidsSameObject(Guid, Guid)","Parameters":["b1a8e901-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","7d150000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000"],"Flags":"","UnrealCall":"","FunctionHash":-2074419224,"ParameterHash":683199304},"Not":false,"Operator":1},{"$type":"OEIFormats.FlowCharts.ConditionalCall, OEIFormats","Data":{"FullName":"Boolean IsSubrace(Guid, Subrace)","Parameters":["7d150000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","Death_Godlike"], This is the parameter that you have forgot I think, the correspondance to the Guid. "ApplicationPrerequisites":{"Conditional":{"Operator":0,"Components":[{"$type":"OEIFormats.FlowCharts.ConditionalCall, OEIFormats","Data":{"FullName":"Boolean IsTarget(Guid)","Parameters":["011111e9-0000-0000-0000-000000000000"],"Flags":"","UnrealCall":"","FunctionHash":-113879851,"ParameterHash":-961388452},"Not":true,"Operator":0},{"$type":"OEIFormats.FlowCharts.ConditionalCall, OEIFormats","Data":{"FullName":"Boolean IsSummoned(Guid)","Parameters":["1a26e100-0000-0000-0000-000000000000"],"Flags":"","UnrealCall":"","FunctionHash":1821317740,"ParameterHash":-1115608986},"Not":true,"Operator":0}]}}, This is from the chain of Rightful Autority, restricted to watcher I think you have to write a second chapter, without restriction and level scaling.

You can laught but I like Mage Slayer, this class should be very fun to play if the Spell Disruption on melee attack would be applied to weapon's proccing effects (like the AoE of Citzal's Lance or Amra for exemple) or also ranged weapons. With the pulsing "great maelstrom like" Storm rune shot from Thundercrack pistol (not mentionned in the description : 10-15 shock in AoE per 2s for 4s base (5 times with 35 int) ) that would be a stunning version of Writ of Sorcery + frenzy stuff.

Chillfog is not reflected, only Venombloom : according to the description, the damages and weaken effects are threated as AoE , and the Frightened effect is wrote as Target. AoE doesnt affect the reflection, but Target does! Sigils have not spell limit (I took a look in the game files), but Arcane Cleanse or equivalent should work.
-
Arcane Reflection spells have a limit of total spells reflected by amount of level : 30 spell levels for PL 6 Arcane reflection. Standards AoE spells like Chillfog, Storm of Holy Fire, Writ of Sorcery or Arcane Dampener are not reflected however. Venombloom is a little different : the raw damages and the Weakened affliction are not reflected, but only the Frightened effect. With a resolve immunity for the Druid, in some ticks (depend of the PL bonus the druid get) the Arcane Reflection is removed, without malus. Another good spell that clear quickly the Arcane Reflection is Avenging Storm, even if Shock damages are reflected : it is available on top with scroll or item and a multi-hits weapon clear the effect on potentially one hit! Another class really interesting to clear the effect in the same way is Cipher : with (for exemple) Mental Binding, if the reflecting ennemy is only in the AoE, the immobilized effect is not reflected. But if he is the target, the Paralized effect is.

My point for that is if you focalise your character around one ability that you want optimize (I do that really often), multiclasse is generally better because that give an enhancement that other party member cant offer. But in this case, the question is different : it is about the better use of this ability, like for Soul annihilation, Spirit Presence, Leap.. I mention this last because it is available with item, like a small third multiclasse (if you are focus on abilities instead of the general aspect of the classes, the "colorimetry"). Great maelstrom is available with scroll, MC Druid Monk can potentially make a better use of this spell than a SC Druid , but it is about one spell, not general aspect. I mean multiclasse a debonnaire with a cipher or a chanter is exactely the focus and synergy around one ability (the crit conversion). This is why it is difficult to "Ranking" I think

Against a dex immune ennemy, Arterial Strike applie first the damage roll. On success, also applie Hobbled. Intuitively, the immune ennemy take only the damages and that's all. But no : the secondary effect, DoT on walk (per 0,3s) is applied anyway the immunity, and the same for Gouging Strike (but not Counfouding Strike) vs Per. immune, Toxic Strike vs Con. immune, and Perplexing Sap thing vs Int. immune. I personally didn't know that before today, when I had some fun with Arterial Strike in AoE + Telekinetic Burst repeatedly (less efficient than 3* Imbue Eora but it is nice)
-
As a better alternative, the Gipon Prudensco : Fight Another Day,immunity to disengagement attacks too and also only -20% recovery time and some deflection and reflex bonus, sound nice for Soulblade that would mean +15 intellect or constitution, and +15acc for sc monk, it is more than a compensation !
-
Melee cipher with barbarian can have acces to Robust inspiration and a short immunity to engagement, a large amount of accuracy with Borrowed Instincts, more AR with Body Attunement, and can turn potentially every debuffing spells into damages with Blood Frenzy. I think to Barbarian for the diversity, since you already think about Monk, Fighter, and Rogue.

Ah it is more clear, I knew these rules and it is right all abilities doesnt follow them in the same place. Maybe the developpers would have nerfed WotW with the changes of somes keywords in gamedata, but I dont think for Riposte or Swift Flurry : they are Abilities using Weapon(s) characteristics, then Weapon Attack Abilities, in other case the attack used should have an action time from the weapon. I dont know about Riposte (passive) why that scale but not Driving Flight's bounces. Maybe this last scaled in the first version of the game, and it was unbalanced, I dont know.
-
The PL scaling is not only for spells but abilities, the really weird thing is the non-scaling ones. It is right for abilities using weapon, they benefit also from the weapon's quality bonus , but every abilities are not concerned, like FF in vanilla game, or the Trickster's spells wich are abilities. Swift flurry also do that, and if you empower Confounding Blind, you can see a 2.5 pen and 10 acc bonus in combat log. I'm the defender of PL scaling because, like for AR instead of DR, I think this is a major improvement in Pillars of Eternity.

-50 All Defenses against intellect affliction attacks to allies and self in 5m radius It is not as easy than confuse a Squid's Grasped character to turn this unconditional debuff aura to ennemies : even dominated, party members stay Allies, and the curse touch only the party. This is the difference with Friendly. But it is possible with Wizard's Phantom, or Druid'Watery double, to bypass this impossibility. They are Team member, and not Party member, and while equipped with Squid's Grasp, the party isnt affected by the curse. And if an ennemy flip his alliance, with Charm or Dominate, the curse is applied to them. That doesnt work with "friendly" charm. (the Essential Phantom is just behind the Vithrack, who have dominated him) The problem is that seem impossible to do without the "ennemies's help", except if someone find a way to do that
