  1. Is this a joke? Another MMO, please say me you're kidding... We've got enough MMO's for the next years! EVERY single company starts making a MMO that they wants money from, sway away from that Obsidian.
  2. About the Mandalorian Wars, or the aftermath of KOTOR II's end.
  3. I was really surprised to see a new website. I like this one - a lot easier to navigate, especially the games section, next thing to do is to create a "own" website for the game. Not just the forums! The unemployed likes it too, you can see what you are hiring, to "draw" more customers you could always set a image like the main one but with awards and nice comments like: "This game rocks, even better than the first one - George Lucas, LucasFilm" 99,9/100% by Lucasfilm... Order your copy today: *KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II* Umm.. Well, you get the point. To show how good your company really is... Also, I can't find a "about Obsidian" page. Even a extra place to show off your awards. Like Obsidian was founded..... bla bla bla... Achievements; 99,9%, Lucasfilm - KOTOR II 85/86, Gamespot - Nwn2.
  4. Never hear-- Wait, he did some music for Mask of the Betrayer. He's good! A bit off-topic, but who did the music for Nwn2 (org.)?
  5. This is insane, I've been looking very often (about every day) on this website: http://www.lucasartsbioware.com/ to see any update about a KOTOR III, now I know it's not that game because a Bioware employee said it before. Seriously?! Still no update, it has soon like passed a year. They can at least say something. *grumbles* KOTOR III is fading away for each day. Not good
  6. Who will score the music to the game? Is that decided yet...
  7. Interesting, very interesting considering it's a RTS. Are they doing the game for themselves or a job (publisher). When does it take place - keep us updated Obsidian crew
  8. Is EA allowed to do this? I mean, they own Bioware but they doesn't have any rights to the KOTOR license?
  9. Hmm... With 135 developers and 4 games, that's like 33.75 (LOL) per game - that's not much. Or do you count the "135" as developers or employees?
  10. AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 6000+ 2048 MB Geforce 8600 (onboard) realtek ALC888 80GB, 500GB and 250GB. Will soon get 2 more gigs...
  11. A bit late, but.. Come on! Obsidian is one my favorite companies, your games have good quality and excellent taste. And I expect no less from future games! *steals a cookie from a random guy* Here, take this!
  12. is this script somewere, id like to read it, also if someone has a difinitve list of content that was totally cut (in no shape or form made it into the game) id also like to read that, someone mentioned a long time a go something about over 1000 pages of content but they didn't give a like to it. I don't think so, you've to ask Obsidian developers for that. Myself, I've not read it but I did found out about in an interview I read long ago!
  13. Visas shall not be trained for combat, I usually train her like assistance (providing force heal and so on). That only works if you have a exile that is trained for combat (not so much force though)
  14. No, what I'm saying that once they began the development of TSL two they didn't play KOTOR 1 at first when they did the plotting and so on. But that was later scrapped, and a new story was made because it didn't make any sense with Kotor 1's one. So, was there anything from the first plotting (script) that made it into the second (after they had played KOTOR) version of the plot? Or was everything scrapped.
  15. I once read in an interview that Obsidian didn't play KOTOR 1 at first then was forced to do it. But before they didn't play they would have a first script or something. Is it possible to see or read some of the drafts that was made, then later scrapped... Was ANYTHING of it made in the final version of the game?
  16. Well if Obsidian has an own engine, will it be sold or burrowed to other game companies? And "starwars", personally I think Obsidian's strength is the game play, the did so well with Mask of Betrayer and TSL, and I'm expecting the same or better for the upcoming games.
  17. Well, I've been thinking, why does Obsidian only make games from somebody else title KOTOR (LucasArts), Aliens (SEGA) and Neverwinter Nights (Atari), wouldn't it be kind of cool if you guys could create a own game, that sells like... well, better than any game. And in the last game (don't remember the name) I assume you are working FOR someone too... Both KOTOR2 and NWV2 were made extremely well, they earned a lot of points on Gamespot and other game rating sites. Just, think about it
  18. KOTOR, I love more playing the Old Republic era than living in a new one that we know everything about. I'm addicted to the KOTOR gameS (yes, both). But I'm missing one function, you can't slit someone arms' of or hurt them with your lightsaber. It isn't self controlled... Like cut through a door, but everything else.. GREAT!
  19. The first picture is scary, maybe you could show that picture in order to motivate the developers like: "if you don't work, you will end up like this"... My first thought was, has that man ever got any sleep? But the second one is more normal, but... I was thinking of the pictures the police take with the name on a paper once you have been busted or something. You know, portrait.. Who knows, maybe he have been busted.... And dinosaur one, well... umm... Did he really live back then?
  20. Well, everything is hard. the the major sites would be: http://www.team-gizka.org/wip.html & http://www.deadlystream.com/
  21. To bad that Obsidian aren't allowed to help DarthStoney or restore, I'm sure they had some amazing ideas for M4-78 and everything was toast. I love that planet, and I'm supporting that guy with bug reports.
  22. I'd say KOTOR2, first when I got it (ha... two years after release) I thought it sucked. A lot! But I played it anyway, mostly because I am a huge KOTOR fan, after playing a few times then played kotor one time.. I noticed the advantage that the Sith Lords has, the features (add party members here and there, cooler planets, more realistic characters). The only things that annoys me is the end, for the first time I was like: "what the f**k?!".. But then I read about the cut content, months later I understood that how it should have ended.
  23. Solved it, forgot to install 1.0a first. But I suggest that you at Obsidian upload the patches at your website, or else this game is dead is seconds. LucasArts only have a non-helping-forum to assistance.
  24. After a while I decided to reinstall KOTOR2, and when I press update in the launcher it says that no connection was made with lucasarts ftp server. Then I look at their website, both the patch and the website for kotor 2 is removed. Great! Thanks for the great suport LA... Anyway, I found the patch on another website for my game (international) but it won't install, at 89% it says: "Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match." and I pres OK, it disappears. I've tried several methods, reinstall the game again but nothing happens, and so on. It is reading/checking the dialog.tlk file when giving that message. Help please? I also did contact the support of LA, but.. they are kind of.. not.. caring. Their answer was: "try to reboot the computer" but in 10-15 lines more.
