SW: The Old Republic Part 4
A while back (a month or so after release) they said they had some exciting plans for space, that was not just more missions. They haven't said anything more about it since though, and those plans have probably been delayed. I also don't think guild ships will be anything that gets added to the game in the forseeable future, if ever.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS!
Oh, definitely. You'd be part of the inquisition in the same way as you were a part of the Wardens in DA:O. And you'll likely be forced to share their beliefs on a fundamental level (ie The blight is bad). But this is me guessing. Or rather hopeful speculation I suppose, although my personal interest in DAIII is fairly low at this point. Fair enough, can't say I disagree here.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS!
The actual games were ok, but the campaign features (as in multiplayer) were completely awful. Which to me is the most important part. So for me it was a bit meh. Perhaps it got better with the legendary edition, I wasn't willing to pay to find out.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS!
No hard technical reason other than the difference between windows and Linux. It's definitely interesting, but I always have some skepticism towards games being made from gw franchises. The track record isn't excellent (apart from dawn of war then). But I'm hoping it'll be good.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS!
See this is why I'm glad I've lost interest in DA, a set character that's part of the chantry. Probably only one class too. Except "the Inquisitor" is about as nameless and faceless as "the Warden" so it seems they're moving back to the more undefined protagonist from DA:O. It also says you've got three classes to choose from. Personally I think the defined character of Hawke was the least of DAII's problems though, so I don't know if this will matter to me, as much as the need for improved encounter design and camera control. Interest is still lukewarm at best.

SW: The Old Republic Part 4
It's a global reset though, so it resets early afternoon here. Not sure on the republic side, but on imperial side, Belsavis has three heroics, two are 2-man and one is 2+ (so slightly harder, but not much). Even the 2-man heroics are soloable if you've got a decent grasp on your class and a few legacy abilities (or good gear). These days I only do the black hole ones once a week since they award black hole commendations (as a weekly), but when I did do dailies I preferred the ones on Belsavis since they also give a lot of affection to your companions, which the other ones don't. There's also more commendations on Belsavis than the other places, just a bit further apart.

When they added a new area to do dailies (Black Hole) it was on basically the same level as the other daily areas, ie something you can do when you just hit 50. So I have a hard time seeing them balancing new story content for end game raiders, they'll (or rather we) have to be content with end game raids, I'm pretty sure.

Trooper has the advantage that with the right advanced class it's fine both as dps and healer (or dps and tank for the other one). So yeah, leveling as dps, then switching spec at the end game is a fairly good strategy. Same with warrior, juggernaut can do both tank and dps, however it's dps specs are nowhere near as good as the marauder ones (although nothing apart from sniper/gunslinger is anywhere near the marauder, so there's that).

Pretty much. A purple that you find while leveling will typically be really good for 3-5 levels, then it'll easily be surpassed. So if you found it during the prologue, it would have lasted maybe 5 hours more or so. A word of caution, if you roll a dps and is interested in doing flashpoints and such, be prepared for fairly long waiting times when using the group finder. There are many more dps players than there are healers and especially tanks, so the wait is longer for them. Especially at level 50, but it's also the case for the lower level flashpoints. You still get in ques, and while I level a character and feel like doing a flashpoint, I start off by getting in a queue with the group finder and then go about my business, and typically a flashpoint will pop within 30 minutes to an hour. As long as one is patient about it, it's ok.

Yeah, the rewards don't matter to me. I've got plenty of speeders. I'm just glad you're liking the game. If you want to play a gunslinger type character and go agent, then I suggest you go sniper, since the operative is a melee class (in spite of it having a blaster rifle, all attacks that matter are close range). Operative is great fun to play though (my main is an operative, although healer), so there's that.

The only items that care about light/dark side is a few relics and some light sabers. The latter are completely replaceable and the best relics don't care, so while it could matter a little while leveling the impact is minuscule. Or just go biochem so you can send companions on the appropriate diplomacy missions. Nepenthe, what server are you on?

Weird you didn't get the invite, I did send it. The trial only lasts until level 15, so you won't get off the second planet. But the game doesn't open up that much after that anyway. Sure you'll have access to all planets, but since they're level based you have to do them in order anyway more or less. As far as stories go I think the agent one is the best I've played (all dark side, two incomplete light side) by a fair margin. Inquisitor is the worst. It starts ok, but falls apart quickly in act 2. It also helps that the agent has the best voice work.

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter
Colin McComb has written a lot of the Planescape P&P stuff, he was also one of the other brains behind Torment, other than MCA. And he was very interactive on the forums back in the day when torment was being developed. Sp definitely good news for Wasteland 2.

Tip: Make sure to queue in the group finder for flashpoints, they break up levelling a lot. Also skip bonus series quests, unless you need them to not be underlevelled for the next planet. Also, if you like pvp, queue for warzones of course. Hoth and Tattooine ar for me the worst planets by far, just because they're so dull.

SW: The Old Republic Part 4
From what I understand, the F2P is an attempt for them to get more people in to the game, that will the subscribe to get access to the cool end game stuff. They still want subscribers (or people willing to pay for content one way or another). So they need to have end game content in order to make money. That's what they're saying and that's how it worked in LOTRO from what I've heard. If they can deliver that is another story altogether, but I am at least hopeful.

SW: The Old Republic Part 4
The flashpoints currently have daily rewards associated with them, so most players that are interested in that content will run one each day. So currently subscribers have plenty of players to run with. There is a shortage of tanks, and to a lesser degree healers, but not a shortage of players. Personally, as long as they keep their promise and keep adding more content for the endgame on a regular basis, this won't affect me at all. They have one new raid in the pipeline, and as long as they keep that part of the game from getting stale, I'll probably keep playing. Edit: Cantousent, the current trial is only to level 15. The full F2P will not start until later this fall, not sure when. But if you want an invite for the current trial to get a head start, feel free to PM me with your e-mail address and I'll hook you up. I only benefit from it if someone I invite actually signs up for a subscription, so I don't care about that. Just happy to get people in to the game

Gamers Against Bigotry
A free exchange of ideas is one thing, telling someone "I hope you get raped" when they beat you in a game is something else entirely and has nothing to do with the concept free speech.
