Questions to the Devs
I don't think there is a d20 rule for that yet. (If there is I apologize ) In any case that specific power did not make the cut to get into K2... but there might be some similar/parallel powers you can use to acomplish the same thing

Questions to the Devs
That is a complicated question... the simple answer is maybe. Honestly we just don't know at this point.

Questions to the Devs
No, there is always a chance for redemption. Just as there is always the possibility to walk the easy path when it presents itself.

1) The experience system will function the same. 2) There were plenty of dark-side-only equipables in KOTOR1... you just have to find them 3) New combat animations you can see in the screenshots that have been released. As far as the old force powers animations, we might spruce them up a bit, but we don't have the time to completely redo all of them. 4)

There will be plenty of different alien languages in KOTOR2... more than in KOTOR1. As for how you, the player, communicate with these species, you're going to have to wait until you play the game

Activate powers, shields, stims at once
Yup.

Questions the the Devs - Take 2
From what I understand (which is little enough), the AI we inherited from the first game isn't reactionary like that. We would have to script every instance of that event happenning which would take years. This is a good question for Akari. I brought the idea up fairly early in the project but design turned it down at the time. I forget what the reasons were off hand. But yeah, it's entirely doable. But there were some other aspects about it that design felt were problematic. -Akari So this is my fault now... <_<

Lighting from lightsabers
I think I understand what you're saying... as in why aren't the characters' faces bathed in the same color light as their lightsabers? This is because (as I understand it) making the lightsabers actual light sources drove the mem requirements through the roof. It just wasn't feasable this time around.

Something like that is being looked into... we'll see if the code cooperates.

1) Same as KOTOR1, yes. 2) Been asked before, yes.

That was more a commentary on the complexity of the engine rather than your skills... no offense was intended. Your programming Kung-Fu is probably waaaay stronger than mine.

BUAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *deep breath* HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Actually that's assuming that such an implimentation is possible with the engine we are using. Again, I defer to Akari on all matters programming.

Someone higher-up than me. ...but let me save you the email: "Dear Weiser_Cain, In regards to your request, NO. ~Management" Seriously though, there simply isn't enough time to make the toolset ready for public release. This was addressed somewhere else I believe...

Well since it was a sarcastic response to a question addressed to us, I'm inclined to think I haven't run the train off the tracks just yet. And to make sure *this* response isn't considered "OT"... Are there anymore questions?

Designer Diary #1 at GameSpot
Yes, it was meant to show a bit of how th levels are designed and how they look before all those artist-types make it all purty and stuff.

Questions the the Devs - Take 2
It's long been the custom for Star Wars games to be at the "Teen" rating. They're never more, never less. I don't imagine it'll be different this time. Well there is that one scene where the PC eats a basket full of puppies and kittens. pfffff....that old gag? It's been done to death I guess we could change it to Gizkas and Tachs for originality's sake

Questions to the Devs
I doubt it. It's assumed that most of the side/bonus quests would be taken care of along the way. And you can always play through again to get the ones you missed (since your relative alignment will probably affect which ones you will do). Plus I'd like to think that KOTOR2 will have great replay value, equal to if not better than that of KOTOR1.
