Yeah the game is Condemned. It's a first-person shooter/fighter with CSI elements in between. It's so fun I like it better than FEAR (it uses the same engine too).

I say widescreen is worth it, every new game supports widescreen, except Battlefield 2, and they are getting a lot of criticism for it. Plus that game I just posted is widescreen only.
