It totally does HDR + 16xAA in Oblivion, but not in Vista yet however.

1.04 lags for me in the first town in the tutorial as well; I used to average 40 fps there with all settings maxed, but now I have to turn off that bumped mapped ground setting and water reflections to get the same fps <_<

I tend to finish first-person shooters more so than RPGs now that I think about it.

Well all I can say is that perhaps 1400 x 1050 was the maximum proper 4:3 resolution for the monitor.
