  1. The CrystalFontz panel I'm using takes up two drive bays, but they also make a single drive bay version. also there is no need to worry about room to hide the wires because the panel is flat like an unused drive bay cover. It connects to a USB connector on your mobo, internally.
  2. Just how bright are all those lights. It looks really bright from the pictures. Those cold cathodes are so bright, that they kill any impact that led fan should have, in terms of lighting. I'm thinking of switching to blue leds.
  3. Just got an orange led fan. Wow it's so orange
  4. No I was unable to connect the built in case audio jacks to my X-fi card. I have to use the front bay that came with my sound card, and that mounts in a cd drive bay and connect to the sound card via IDE cable.
  5. Radeon 9250 is old no wonder she can't run it.
  6. Umm not really. Vsync regulates framerates so it wont go over your monitor's refresh rate, therefore preventing tearing. Your usually capped at 60 or 85 fps (whatever you're monitor's refresh rate is. Something interesting: With vsync off, I notice a strange phenomenon where the tearing goes away (or reduced by 90%) when the fps goes over 500. I noticed this in HL2
  7. Anyone else get a bit of pausing stutter in the barkeep area?
  8. Took them long enough lol
  9. Yea shut off vsync and watch your fps fly like mad
  10. Man wtf my conroe idled 53C with the stock cooler @ stock speed! Now that I got the Zalman 9700 cooler I idle 44C /w 1ghz overclock.
  11. I'm using this as my screensaver atm. It rawks, especially the motion blur whee http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_geoforms_home.html
  12. 550w should handle one 8800 just fine. However if you're going to add all these hard drives and stuff, or use an R600, then 650w would be ideal.
  13. In lattice, my fps is 950
  14. Has anyone tried running all the way to the Chernobyl plant early? I keep getting owned in the red forest lol
  15. no. However you didn't specify the vid card you'll have.
  16. Finally they replaced those horrid distant land textures with better ones, so a LOD mod isn't required. Also, I noticed that the playable land fades in over the distant improved textures (rather than pop in) so they all blend in really good. http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm
  17. I recommend Cooler Master so far; I have their Real Power Pro and it's been superb. However I'm gonna put it through the SLi test next week when my second 8800 arrives so I'll see what happens stability-wise when I push that psu to the max.
  18. lol no didn't open Vista yet, and I don't see myself installing it until Crysis comes out
  19. Thanks Tale, you really should start writing for GameFaqs lol
  20. You're just defending it because your rig can handle it. Your rig can't handle XP?
