Am I the only one who seriously disliked this episode? The whole I was wrong, I should have let him push the button-thing utterly irks me. Many shows seems to me failing me lately. But perhaps that's a good thing
-
Ah yes of course. I was wondering about him - thought he might be cylar - but with all the buildup-attention his name had been getting he was bound to popup soon. But why can't the telepathguy hear his thoughts? Wouldn't it be quite a coincident that both Micah's parents had powers? I mean, it can't be genes as with the two brothers. That would be... disturbing.
-
The was a fun episode! I had feared the hiro-part would be obnoxious but it's quite funny The Autopsy part was good as well heh. The bad guy - cylar/sylar - is his power telekinesis? He sure got a handle on it. Are we to believe he stopped the bullets and flew/levitated away? As regards to the "event" in NY they refer to it twice as nuclear. Are there any nuclear power plants in NY (seriously doubt it) that would still allow this to be an accident of some sort?
-
But of course. That surely is what I am saying.

The pointlessness I was refering to would be to find X amount of articles as "proof" of my point of view. I wrote the above comment to - once again - explain what I have been going through. To explain where I were comming from. And I don't believe in post-bombs. It's no way to argue as you indirectly try to claim superiority based on an extensive (and visible) amount of material. Furthermore; if I genuine wished for others to objectively read certain articles I would seldom submit them like that into an open debate. It's much better if people find the the material on their own. (I can, however, provide a single link: http://www.energybulletin.net/ ) If you interpret the word "beliefs" in a religious setting then I appologize. I agree this is very much about hard facts. And after reading extensively I have of course begun to form a general opinion about certain aspects in life. I am no diffirent than anybody else. Many many things are a blurry mess, but my 2+2 comments was primarily directed towards the peak oil debate. It's geological proven and makes a lot of sense to me. But! Just as certain I am about peak oil (and climate change), I am constantly learning more aspects about it. I didn't mean to come across as a know-it-all. Some arguments I truly have heard all to many times. "But you don't have to take my word for it. Reasearch it yourself, but remember to have other sources than Fox "News" " "This last comment shows how open-minded and well-thought your opinions are. I'm not American. We don't even have Fox News here. But yeah, I must be your typical right-wing, Fox News-worshipping nutjob, just because it's so much easier to picture the world in black and white." Sigh. Fox "News" is a stading joke and was the first thing that came to mind. It has nothing to do with what I think of you.

I state quite clearly that my post is about my personal beliefs. And I also state that I realize the irony. Why waste your time pointing that out? I have actually changed quite drastically over the past couple years. I used to be very pro-US, but once you get underneath the sugar-coated reality things begin to look... grim. I am not asking you to believe me -- that would be religious nonsense. All I'm saying is that I have been - and apparently still is - involved in this debate for a some time now, and at some point 2+2 equals 4. I highly doubt anyone would find a long list of books, articles, news, interviews, links etc interesting. That is why all I can stomach is to offer my own point of view. But my beliefs are not set in stone. I have a general perspective on what is happing and what is to come, but data and information change all the time. Sometime things are disproven and with enough credible sources I will admit when I am wrong. Only a Stih believe in absolutes. Heh. But you don't have to take my word for it. Reasearch it yourself, but remember to have other sources than Fox "News"

This is the kind of thread I once would have thrown myself at. But those days has come and gone. Now, I mostly ignore them. Personal beliefs, ideas and concepts. That's what it boils down to. I could easily dig up the first 100 articles about climate change, peak oil, fascism in the US, economic warfare (dollar hemogeny), drug trafficing etc. But whats the point? Most people will not change their beliefs; their outlook on the world. For what it's worth: I believe the world is entering the plateau of global oil production. I believe it will bring about chaos on a level never before seen. I mention oil because it's the lifeblood of "modern society" - of the top 65 top oil producing nations, 54-55 are in permanent decline. But I could just as well mention water, food, metals etc. We are now 6.5 - 6.6 billioner people on this once beautiful earth and through overcomsumption we have managed to dig ourself into a hole from where escape seem more and more unlikely every day. But I don't blame the US. Certainly not it's people but not even it's leadership. Had any other country been dealt the same hand the outcome would probably have been the same. If you wish to argue peak oil or don't believe in manmade climate change then please don't waste your energy on me. I have heard it all too many times before. (Yes I realize the irony...)

Just caught the second episode - found it quite entertaining. The best part for my money was when . I really hadn't expected they would make Though, I guess it's still somewhat uncertain if that was really what happened. The cheerleader and her evil father seems interesting as well. Ehh... that sounds a bit creepy actually... I think the Japanese guy - Hiro - Okay that was a sidetrack - sorry - but I fear that's the most obvious direction.
-
Yes I know but.. *sigh*. I actually thought we would see him flying in the in this episode.

I will never own a car. I have my bicycle and it gets me where I am going. In this day and age with Peak Oil looming, environmental disaster and paradigm warfare, a car is not even last on my list of things to get. But! If none of the above mattered then The Atom is my kinda car. Link: Top Gear Review: The Atom

Spoiler post about the season premiere: Blah! That was horrible... my poor eyes. What kind of pussyass way to "win" the big match was that? Amulet-Handshake-of-Death. *sigh* I think I have finally figured out why I have been watching the show. It's not for rhe excitement of what adventures our young and brave hero will endure, but rather a faint hope that the scriptwriters at some point will boldly go where they clearly are not permitted to go. Ehh... let me explain: It's Superman. We all know what's going to happen - at least in the big picture. That means we have nothing truly surprising to look forward to. Which again mean we are watching for the off chance that something "special" or fascinating will happen. Take this season premiere for example. The most exciting moment was when Lana got stabbed through her pretty hand. That took me a bit by surprise. But wait! Was it anything special? No. And thous we reach the conclusion: even special moments aren't special because the show can not break from itself. If Zod/Lex instead had simply killed her I would truly have been impressed. Beacuse then we could have a really vicious fight between wonderboy and evilboy which should have ended with the death of Lex. Now that would have made me watch episode 2.

Oh wow. I also just re-watched the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy from Thursday-Saturday. And I just want to fast forward through the Frodo/Sam parts to get to the good parts with Aragorn I absolutely agree. Not Aragorn in particular, just avoiding Sam/Frodo. Also just watched Thank you for smoking. It started out okay but died halfway through. And I re-watched Spiderman 1-2. The first was best. I fear for number 3. And I saw Dune for the first time... heh.

This is my schedule for the comming season/current season: Monday: The Class (CBS, premieres September 18) - Comedy sort of like friends. Prison Break (Fox, second season premieres August 21) - Well. It's PB. Heroes (NBC, premieres September 25) - It has potential but could also be very bad. Like the show Mutant X or what ever it was called. Weeds (Showtime, second season premieres August 14) - About a housewife dealing marijuana. Reminds me of Desperate Housewifes except they are very political incorrect. (swearing, sexual language/suggestions etc) Tuesday: House (Fox, third season premieres September 5) - Already mentioned by others. Except I don't think it can be compared to CSI. Sure there are some camera-injury-action but other than that...? House aka Hugh Laurie is very watchable. Boston Legal (ABC, third season premieres September 26) - Comedy. I think . It's a very odd kind of show. A bit of Ally I think and then on the other hand not at all. Wednesday: Jericho (CBS, premieres September 20) - In the preview episode we saw SPOILER: some nuclear bombs destroy some american cities. Now... I am interested in this show, but if this is going to be some sort of "uhh the terrorists are comming" kinda thing then no thanks. Perhaps a 4. World War senario. Lost (ABC, third season premieres October 4) - Se comment to Prison Break. Day Break (ABC, premieres November 15) - Something about someone who must relive the same day over and over. (Like Groundhog Day I guess). The Nine (ABC, premieres October 4) - About a group of people being held hostages at a bank. We follow them afterwards. South Park (Comedy Central, 10th season fall premiere October 4) - Well..... Thursday: Smallville (CW, sixth season premieres September 28) - I hate myself for seeing this show. I believe it lowers IQ as the manuscript is almost always quite horrible. Supernatural (CW, second season premieres September 28) - About two brother who fight supernatual enemies. Shark (CBS, premieres September 21) - James Wood as a lawyer. Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi, third season premieres October 6) - See comments for Prison Break / Lost Addendum: The 4400: I have seen every episode but... sigh. It had so much potential but it really is a lowbudget show. I will also be watching the next season but... expectations are low. The Dead Zone: Watched once. Don't watch now. A friend of mine has stayed with it though. Kyle XY: Same as The 4400. Eureka: Too silly for my taste. Rome: I were planning to see this but the show as apparently been cancelled. Not going to half-a-show. Firefly / Serenity: Run my head into a wall in order to forget the plot and have the thrill of re-watching the best show ever created. (In case you were wondering: I leave post-its to remind me why I now have a headache and encourage myself to hit play on the DVD.)

This is completely off topic, but I thought others might appreciate it.

Okay I found something: Time frame: 3,961 - 3,956 B.B.Y. In this period we have the culmination of the Mandalorian War, the return of Revan as conquer and the attack lead by Bastila. Weird stuff: The Star Forge is not mentioned once here. Only Malachor V as being the source of Revans dark side power. Weird stuff: "Rather than helping his Master, DARTH MALAK lets the Jedi drag Revan from the throne after attempting a mind-wipe which was only partially successful. Returning to the Council with a comatose Revan..." Not exactly what happens in the game. Weird stuff: Revan is confirmed as being male and is also referred to as Master Revan. I though we was a knight. So. What do we have timeline speaking? In 3,956 B.B.Y. Revan is captured and in 3,956 B.B.Y. Malak is defeated. Then I don't know where I got the two years in between from. The period afterwards is very brief.
-
Dunno if this is the correct place to ask, but here goes. What is the correct timeline for the events taking place during Kotor 1 & 2? How old are Revan? From the in game messages in Kotor 1 we are told something along the lines of" The Mandolorian War ended 4 years ago and should have brought peace to the republic. It didn't." I think I also got this message (also Kotor 1): "2 years ago the Jedi set an ambush for Revan and Malak.." [dont remember the rest]. So. Revan heads for war in year X. He is how old? How long does the Mandy War takes? Any thoughts?

Ah I figured it out. I had to patch the game to 1.03, then disable/enable some gui stuff in the ini file. Now the game drops a tga file every time i hit PrintScreen.
-
Hi, How do I take a screenshot in kotor 1 & 2? Now, I know about the EnableScreenshot=1 + Print Screen thing, but I were wondering if these games has a built in screenshot mechanism? In Jedi Academy you merely has to hit one key and a screenshot is dumped in your gamefolder. Cheers!

Hi, Do anyone know where I can download a skin/character mod for kotor 1? By skin/character mod I am refering to a MOD that will give me more options when I select the PC look. Or perhaps such a mod hasn't been made? Rgs El Nino
