Yes, especially mission design was.... basic to say the least. Even so, I liked tone of SC1 more. SC2 is strangely conflictless for a game about 3 waring actions. I think that's why I like Wings of Liberty far better then other two - conflicts are still within factions within the universe, not magic-big-bad-guy.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It's gut. Not sure about jRPG combat - I always through that action packed brawler was a nice balance to running around and chatting. As is, the game is overall low energy - though I do appreciate how hilarious the skills are. Liking Ichiban quite a bit. He is just as entertaining as Kiryu, just in a more derpy way. Also returned to Starcraft2. Finally after over 10 years, I have a PC that can run it well... Turns out, that my time spent in casual coop mode, actually made me a better player. Finally can comfortably multitask. Completed Wings of Libery on brutal, and outside the last mission I didn't have much trouble with it - while previously I have been struggling on hard. Am midway through Heart of the Swarm. Dang, I forgot how much the game drops in quality after the first campaign. Also I am still upset with how they twisted the characters for the sequel, and overal how garbage the story is.

My heart skipped a beat, as GOG released season 1 of the Hitman reboots. Alas, looking at 1 star reviews the always DRM nonesense is still there. Shame.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but why are they semi-romances? As far as I remember they are more or less what came in later titles (BG2 onward).

I don't know about gamedec, but I definitely wouldn't describe Disco Elysium as an adventure game - it's RPG through and through.

Mostly single-player, but Juliana will be either controlled by AI or by enemy player. Being peer to peer the online experience seems to be very Dark Souls indeed, including lag. My disappointment is that it seems to be more of a shooter, indeed, rather then “an immersive sim”. Blink is the least interesting skill in Arcane repertoire, and “domino” is not terribly exciting, if the only status you can apply is “kill”. Also poor PC performance, poor AI etc. Will wait for a sale, hopefully on GOG, denuvo free (though we will see if it will happen now when we have a multiplayer title, and a change in overhead management).

It, however, doesn’t seem as Arkane-y, nor time-loopy as I have hoped. Meh, I still have Mooncrash to play.

Unfortunately, while mainstream outlets like this one quite a lot, reviews that have most influence over me, are so far rather lukewarm. I think I will hold off on this one for now.

Considering that Raven is front a trailer in the trailer is an odd choice - sure it's iconic to KOTOR, but also Raven's presence should be downplayed. And yeah, it's an old game and it's somewhat pointless to pretend that people don't know that but if Raven is the focus of the trailer, I am somewhat worried what they find worth focusing on. A big question to me, is what the reimagining will be like... making it a better RPG? Sure. Making it even less of an RPG? ehm. We will see. I am not thrilled, but recent Star Wars titles have been quite alright.

Yeah, KOTOR was worse in that respect then most. I heavily lean into good aligned characters, especially back then, but even KOTOR seemed unreasonable extreme when it comes to choice (and sadly mechanics heavily rewarded going all in one one). KOTOR2 is messy, I really disliked it on my first playthough - I found a lot of it's choices to be forced, characters underdevelop, not to mention the ending. It has some major pacing issues. I liked it much more on my 2nd playthrough, with community patch and restored content. Overall, still one mess of a game, with some moments which shine bright.

Wouldn't that be nice. I suspect, however, that it is too close of being considered a "chinese appropriation", or something. I would dig JE with a better combat system though. EDIT. Wouldn't it be nice, if they remade KOTOR2 as well, and work with Obsidian or/and Avellone and like finish it, this time around?

About Midnight's Sun. I think the idea might be to try different kind of RNG? XCOM is very much about randomising successful outcome of your actions. What they randomise in M'sS are actions available to you in each turn. I just don't care for that sytem. Deck building never felt satisfying to me, in the same picking stuff from a skill tree is. At least the tactical maps isn't completely smoke and mirrors as positioning has some importance. It's just... I doubt it will be nearly as good in being a card game, as a card game. RPG part doesn't interest me, as Firaxis doesn't have a good track record in the little bit of writing they have put in their game. I also don't care that much for Marvel licence to fanboy over the characters. The hub part looks very jank, but it's pre-alpha. Maybe they make it so the walking animation actually works for the speed the character is moving with.

Midnight Sun's gameplay. EDIT: For some reason, I really don't like cards in my games. They just always feel uninappropriate for me in digital setting. Not particularly liked cards in my board games either.

Binged Psychonauts2 story. Just some collectibles remaining. It's the best sequel one could hope for, I think. There is of course part of me that screams that it's not as good as the original, and sure - sequels for story driven games aren't as straightforward to do as mechanical ones. Still, can't imagine it really being better then that. -
Did they briefly show gameplay at the end of the trailer?

I am pretty convinced that's it's still part of CGI trailer, aiming to hint as to what gameplay we can expect, but not showing gameplay itself. Even if it was done using some existing assets, it wouldn't be representative of the final product considering how early in development the game was at the time. -

I believe they were supposed to patch the steam version, after for some reason they released a better version on the Windows Store.
