  1. I used to use that approach, I used to send a fighter in with enormous deflection who was virtually invincible but I got tired of that approach. I don't use a single tank anymore, I generally use two tanky dps such as a dual wield barb with massive healing bonus from high survival and belt of bountiful healing and a dual wield fighter with high hp recovery. I kind of have this thing that I need a dps fighter in the group mainly becuase they are so damn good at taking down dragons lol. I think I might just be bad. PoTD run I did was with two priests and two fighters LOL.
  2. Yeah probably just me being impatient. But the reflex defense is very low with only 4 dexterity and 10 perception but I guess it doesn't really matter as the game progresses due to the reflex bonus from using a shield. I probably exaggerated when i said three hits but it was close. When I went to cad nua the spirits just annihilated my tank due to daze etc. He fell unconcious in seconds lol.
  3. I must be doing something wrong because on lower levels having a chanter tank just gets annihilated in two or three hits in PoTD. Even with the high deflection his hp and endurance is just way too low and reflex defense is low so you get wrekced by aoe's. I find a barb or fighter as a main tank to be so much more effective. Thoughts???
  4. Just though i would let you guys know (if you didnt already) that little savior, when replicated with helwax mould, and when equipped by two characters on your party stacks, im not sure if this is an overlook but +10 to all defenses AOE is pretty awesome lol. I put one on my priest and on my fighter main tank on my PoTD trio and its amazing. :DDD
  5. I wear full plate armor on my wizard - he carries many scars. Always start a fight with alacrity and then throw up my defensives. Works a charm.
  6. or you could make an offtank assassin with drawn in spring and barricade. Im playing it at the moment, its really good but yeah not the 'proper' way to play rogue.
  7. Either my OP dual wield fighter or my barb. Its a hard choice. Lots of time to think about it though
  8. That would make it pretty awesome for a rogue with deep wounds + envenomed strike and then if you used barricade thrust would fire off all the time because of rogues high crit. Got me thinking. Im going to stick with purgatory at the moment for the heal, seems like the best option for damage + survivability. Thanks for your help
  9. Alpine dragon wasn't that tough with my priest dual warrior party on potd, had my priest buff my warrior with crowns of faithful and suppress major affliction. Got my dual wield warrior to chug a lengraths displaced image potion then a war paint potion, popped disciplined barrage. Charged dragon, kbed it and went flattened it pretty fast. Depends on part make up though, but i find anything which increases reflex defense and accuracy is win against dragons. You can get a helmet through stronghold adventures which gives increased resistances against dragon breath attacks which really helps.
  10. Yeah i can see that high intel dilutes the DoT from drawn in spring now, unlike most dot effects it is a solid 25% of weapon damage and the longer that is drawn out the smaller the damage ticks will be. If they stacked it would be amazing but they dont stack. Thanks for the responses it has cleared things up for me alot. Boeroer you are right, a sabre in main and offhand (or shield in offhand) is best for heart of fury and outside of your cooldowns drawn in spring is great and synergises great with combusting wounds. How about this weapons set 1: Drawn in spring + Dragons maw weapon set 2 (for heart of fury): Purgatory + Badragr's barricade (my paladin has dual bittercuts, two man party) Is purgatory a good option for heart of fury then (with exeption of bittercut) or would there be a better option for max dps during heart of fury?
  11. Hello all, I was just wondering how good drawn in spring is for a tank barb with high intel and dragonmaw shield. The dagger has nice accuracy and applies its DoT effect to all enemies hit by carnage and then dragonmaw shield will apply the taste of the hunt DoT so damage over time willy nilly. Is this the best combination for a dps barb tank?
  12. Hey guys, a bug ive noticed recently is that on barb when using a bashing shield (im using badgradr's barricade) that occasionally carnage bugs out and neither my main attack or shield bash triggers carnage on nearby mobs, when i switch to my other weapon set carnage works fine but when i switch back its bugged. Reloading the game seems to temporarily fix the issue.
  13. my most loved abilities/ most abused Druid (they have so much amazing stuff) 1.) Restless storm 2.) Venom bloom 3.) Plague of Insects 4.) Infestation of maggots - actually really good. 5.) Moonwell Yes druids are OP Fighter 1.) Charge - this ability is actually so overpowered 2.) Fearless - poor dragons Priest 1.) Shining Beacon.... the heavenly sound always gets me 2.) Devotions of the faithful - a bit cheaty 3.) Champions boon - yay even more overpowered dual wield fighter (PS. no crowns of faithful, its disgustingly overpowered and makes me feel dirty when i use it.) Barbarian 1.) Heart of fury - lags my computer a bit from all the body parts flying over the screen 2.) Barbaric shout - dominance on the battlefield Wizard 1.) Combusting wounds - I actually prefer combusting wounds on ring of searing flames because its insta cast. But yeah its an amazing ability 2.) Kalakoths minor blights - alacrity - kalakoths - combusting wounds = broken OP Paladin 1.) FOD with bleak walker Chanter 1.) Aefyllath Ues Mirth Fyr - just wow Theres alot more but im bored of typing now.
  14. Thanks for the reply Boeroer that has cleared that up for me.
  15. Hey guys, I was just wondering if you use vent pick with paladin, when vent pick procs its flames of devotion does it benefit from passives such as intense flames and remember rakhan field? or does it only trigger a normal unbuffed flames of devotion. Also can it proc at the same time as you use a paladin's innate flames of devotion causing a double FOD or does the paladin one overwrite the weapon proc?
  16. Normal Thaos would be pretty easy on level 16, now critical path Thaos... that would be pretty much impossible on barb.
  17. Combusting wounds is a little gem of a spell, ive heard alot of people say that its useless but its totally not. For example with wizard with maxed out blast and high intel, hit alacrity, minor blights, then cast combusting wounds on the mob cluster and they attack them with kalakoths, its actually silly OP. Good with barbs too tho.
  18. Reporting a bug with the merchant Azzuro, He can bug out and come to the stronghold and not offer anything for sale and cannot be found inside the stronghold. This is after completing his quest and paying him. On the stronghold status page is appears as a blank notifications but notifies you when he leaves.
