  1. Hi folks, as said in the other thread, I'm here to discuss about this kind of paladin. Nature godlike will put the nature's flavor in the build. As for the rest... buffing and fighting with quarterstaff or spear... Throw in your thoughts!
  2. This thread is drifting away... it is not about HOW STRONG the class is. It's well known that chanters can solo, can party, can play every difficulty. No demonstration needed. The main and most recent argument is HOW BORING they can become... Changing the role of the companions just to make the MC more intresting is not my goal. If I can't find a valid archetype, I'll simply pass and change MC... it's not your fault. You guys are extraordinary helpers, but just can't change the game
  3. Yeah.. all good inputs.. they surely work game-wise...but are ordinary....banal... I like something that stands out... That's why I wanted a different approach, but not knowing the druid class, it's my fault. I'd close this thread and I'd open a new one, focused on a nature godlike paladin.
  4. Thought of it... but never really came to something good. Maybe nature godlike pally?
  5. Well, I come from other types of rpgs, so I need time to adapt to crpg, and therefore I lower difficulty and still find it challenging. But with the chanter this changes completely. He hastens the party, subtracts life from the enemies, and if by any chance I manage to spawn a ghost, it's total carnage...
  6. Mm don't know... it's just not the idea I had of the Druid... some kind of protector, warden... this is the reason I wrote buffing... I thought of a blessing from the nature, a sort of paladin of the wild.... is this not possible?
  7. Well the last thing you said is true... most enemies fall down long before I'm able to actually use an invocation, and that leaves me with a bunch of nothing to do... this is the only char that would force me to go higher difficulty just to have some fun...
  8. Uhm... These posts make me realize that I knew nothing about Druid. Sometimes I tend to compare Poe to other rpgs... and assume that roles can just be the same... a Druid that doesn't shift might be ok, but you can't take out the ability now, can you? So you will remain with a useless talent...
  9. I think you already gave me the best... that of the barbarian.. the others would just be forced in the build without no apparent connection with the build itself. I know chanters have lore, and that allows me to use scrolls but I'm not very fond of it.. though I'll admit they can change battles sometimes.. another thing I'm thinking of is the elf... sure, white that wends is great, but I prefer the living lands, admittedly "a land where there are many madmen" full of strange beasts and all the rest... human I find it to be better lore-wise... and surely more fitting to wield battle axes than slim elves... hehe
  10. Hail! Doing nightshift is sooo boring...gotta find out something to do...here I am, thinking of one of the most interesting classes out there. But I know little to none of druids... maybe I'd like being a shaman of sort... the only thing I know, is I want a spear in his hand...or something like it... staff... halberd... something with a long reach. Then I don't know which animal to shift into... this is because I don't know sinergies nor I have any concept in mind 'cept the shaman. Will you help me?
  11. Your telling me to put points in res because of the lost deflection due to dual wield? I wanted to use the hatchets for this... I'm confident that the char would do good to the party, it's just that apart from using the frenzy and clicking on the target, there's nothing more this char can do, except chant, which he automatically does.... I'd like some action for him!
  12. i didn't know I could level them up on my own, great tip! As for Kana, I keep him in the back, speeding firearms up.. with ila's chant. Dunno... maybe I'll do it. Lore 6 is no great investment, the rest can be equally divided between mech and surv, with slight advantage on mech maybe... I still have to try this char a bit more intensively, cos right now you know... i have the disappointer equipped..hahah!
  13. Yeah, I thought so... but then again... what's the alternative? I still don't have the expansion so no Caroc... and then... the only one who has a little mech is Durance (a priest who unlocks doors etc... meh...) I thought of an almost equal division between mech, surv, and lore... am I spreading too thin?
  14. No worries Frankfurter (am Main, beautiful city) Tbh I'd like to be the one who detect the traps, and since the opening rifle shot is always mine, the tactic would be. Scout ahead, detect enemies or eventual traps or secrets, close in with weaker enemy (prolly caster) fire the sneak attack crippling shot. Usually dead. The rest would be reloading and possibly escaping the fray...
  15. This is another concept, if strong nonetheless. It's might-based, you actively enter into battle. Your CON tells all the story... I reckon it works, and you have also included the frenzy for a more barbarian-ish effect. This would be perfect. What I'm missing is "something to do" while the world around you collapses under your chants.... oh.. and I don't like sword and shield... my personal taste..
  16. mmm kay. danke! (you're german right?) would you increase stealth? if so... how much?
  17. You're talking about the fact that repeatedly choosing for example rational will get me the rational "sticker"?
  18. Good choices, and good advices... And since the chanter is my other favourite class (other thread), it might already work... Shall I not pick Lore then?
  19. HIII again! As I'm now trying to make the aumaua buccaneer... I'm searching for aumaua portraits... what to say?? IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND! i know aumauas are just an exclusive of PoE but... a bit of love for poor sharpteeth aumauas is in order!
  20. Blasted white march which I still don't own... For now I'll do without. This character is quite good, and especially the 1st shot from the pistol (and I have the disappointer...haha) one shots quite every foe. What I'd really like is... getting him to be a smart mouth. Dunno...lore...(mechanics are obvious).. for stealth I don't know, 'cos I took Backstab, but I have to be close to target with a firearm (2m) and this requires me to get very close to targets without being noticed... Advices required
  21. While I reload, as a rogue I'm taking a ton o' damage... yes, I send the others in the front line and that helps a bit... but it's an annoying situation...
  22. In a manner of speaking you'd be right, even if I think that three pistols (aumaua) would weigh a ton! Not to mention 3 blunderbusses! I'm trying to play it now, and firearms do a wicked damage. They're terribly slow, though... trying to think of what to do while I only have 1 pistol... go melee?
  23. I mean that this thing of swapping weapons at the start of the battle has the sole purpose of exploiting the fact that it's quicker to swap than to reload... Otherwise noone would do it... It's unrealistic because in real life no one would carry around 3 of the same weapon just because one doesn't want to reload!
