Gameplay Tweak - Potions

I would be fine with an "until the end of your next turn" or at very least end of this turn modifier. At the moment, I'm changing my die rolled to give my self the highest rate of failure to just not have it in my deck so anything would be better than that. -
I have lots of duplicates I've opened about 35 chests so far and haven't gotten a fiery bolt but I've got several greatclubs. Considering how the chest "gaurantees 1 to be rare" you have to figure the duplicates you're getting are all commons and that there are uncommons rares and legends as well. It would be nice if the cards indicated their rarity so I can feel better about salvaging something if I know I'll find a dozen more.

In addition to what the other people said, if this is your experience - this is a bug. So with Sajan and Soldier, you only have 3 options: - use power and roll your d10 Dex skill - use your d6 Str skill (which does not have the Melee trait and it shouldn't be possible to play Soldier) - use your untrained Melee skill for d4 and throw in a Soldier for another d4 If you are able to roll you Strength AND add a Soldier for d6 + d4 - this is a bug. This is where the confusion on the skill came from. The fact that I could recharge the soldier with my 1d6 led me to believe that all unarmed combat checks were melee. I realize some characters have the actual melee skill but I thought it was just for purposes of providing a bonus. It all makes more sense now. Still a bug.

I realize the game is pretty set in real life and it's gone through lots of playtesting and balancing so forgive me if this is a short sighted suggestion. I think potions are a very cool flavor part of the game. You have a potion of glibness that lets you quaff a consumable that allows you to talk so smoothly to that aristocrat that he joins you. But I hate holding something in my hand potentially all game that may not get used. I think potions would be much more relevant if it was banish on use and display next to your deck to automatically succeed at your next related check. There would still be a level of strategy to playing it because you might want to hold it for a location close but otherwise every time you get a cool potion you chugalug and move on and reap the benefits of your boon without bogging down your hand.

It would give me reason to stop what I'm doing and write down the circumstances of the bug's I come across other than just ignoring them and moving on. But it sounds hard to implement. Our reward for beta testing a free product is a more refined free product. -
Quest Mode Cards

Lots of posts including dev responses here. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86762-quest-mode-decks-availability-and-character-progression-til-card-role-selection/ In short 1 @ 20, 2 @ 30, if you see cards from 1 or 2 earlier it's because they are balance tweaks with the card and have been moved. If you haven't found a card yet and think you should have it's been moved. Father Zanthus + staff of healing are deck 2 (level 30) augury and mastework tools are deck C and will not be present unless you've purchased the character add on pack. -
I think the renaming of levitate has more to do with the fact that the name levitate and its picture do not really transfer logically to magically warping someone across town. If anything, I would think Levitate would work more like find traps and add to a check against banes with the trap trait. Haste on the other hand works just like it does in most RPG's and give the player more/extra actions. Just my opinion on its flavor though.

I think it's a nice change of pace to have when you run into something like a warlord that penalizes you per die rolled but I kept lightning touch and arcane missile over it because I prefer higher probability of average numbers. Saying 2d6 is only slightly better than 1d10+1 I think undervalues the higher chance to get middle of the road numbers. 90%(maybe more) of the time I have a huge margin of victory as long as I don't roll extreme lows and extra dice helps curve it out. This is an awesome resource for determining value. http://anydice.com/ In this case 2d6 vs 1d10+1 say your check to defeat is 10 and you are getting a +5 needing to roll a 4 or better leaves a 30% margin of failure vs 2d6 at 16.67% On the other end acid arrow becomes better if you really need a big roll to beat something but like I said that is rarely the case.

Quest mode gone (again)

Decided to try to fix this myself since it was probably 20 hours worth of game play lost. I have been able to recover my quest game - any progress that was happening during the game I was currently in the middle of. I did not take very good notes but it involved a lot of trial and error replacing files and folders inside of a freshly wiped out cache/data folder of PACG directories with the original corrupted directories. What finally worked was deleting the sav file inside sav slot 99 while the game was running and then exiting. I can not say if this fixed it, or if it was a happy coincidence, but my team is back. -

That link is simliar but its not an answer so I will post my same issue. I minimized the game in the middle of combat and now I experience the same problem. I can still play story mode and if i click on quest it lights up but neither it nor continue actually do anyting. full party just hit 30 there has to be a better answer than "You'll have to start anew". -
Where did this information come from? Tier 3!? Will 2 copies be added automatically to the base pool once teir 3 is unlocked or is it something that has to be found as loot. I understand that augury has been moved up but I've still only found the 1 copy listed as C, Shouldn't I be able to find 3 copies of augury after getting to tier 2? I think the public peace of mind could benefit from a functional vault to add some clarity to boon availability.

I played a 3 man party from 1 - 27 and never saw it. Then i bought the add on pack and found it 3 games later. Same goes for masterwork tools. I admit its not concrete evidence but it's pretty suspicious. Of note, augury and MWtools are type C on thier card. Still no staff of healing or father Z, this is literally, killing seoni.

Is deck C worth 8 k gold?

If you like to min/max deck tweak like I do it's mandatory for quest mode. At the moment augury and masterwork tools (probably more but those 2 stuck out) are only available in quest mode if you've got deck C. -
I used to have the same opinion except I've found Kyra is sort of a beast to begin with, add a greatclub and the initial D6+1 and you hardly need any more benefit vs undead. Once the heal starts having a higher minimum value though you can pull cure out of the deck for more utility like find traps and heat metal.

Whenever I come to a disagreement on a rule or topic of confusion I try to reason out the scenario in an RP sense. Lini is adventuring through a dark dungeon. Lini comes across a room that has a shiny sword on the wall. Lini realizes she doesn't know how to swing a sword, can hardly hold a sword that size up, and doesn't really have the room for that sword in her bag so she simply avoids even trying to pick it up. -
I'm playing on an LG G3. I have tried both a bluetooth and USB mouse each works fine for controlling all other aspects of the android interface and interacts fine with star realms which is another google play games game. Once I load pathfinder I can right click to back out of menu's but left click no longer works. I realize that phones aren't officially supported but I'm curious what the cause might be or if others have had this problem.
