My thoughts : - Offline gold is a no-go for obvious reasons. Possibly you would not hack the system, but others would surely do. - put the game down until December... you mean you won't play it, or they should shut down the servers ? The later would be a pretty bad idea. But nobody forces you to play if you don't want to. BTW, with quest mode, 11 characters, treasure cards and difficulty levels we already have a LOT of replayability, with a stream of updates/bugfixes.

New treasure chest cards are coming!
Cainhu replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Bounty of Norgorber is truly seems out of space here, but the other boons looks like fun. However some of them will be rarely (if ever) included in character decks for more than one scenairo. -
Multiplayer Version?
Cainhu replied to tsuthy's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
I think it was mentioned we get multiplayer at the same time as multi-platform support for the accounts. But I guess they should solve the dozens of bugs currently plaguing the game first. But I'm hopefull, that the next patch will be a big improvement. -
Can't progress after having to few spells
Cainhu replied to Cainhu's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Thanks, but I had the spell list. The problem was : if I draw a spell to the character portrait or to the list of spells it moved back to the list. After restarting the app 4 times, finally it accepted my selection. I never experienced this problem before (this is not the first time I was short from a card type) -
Hi, I encountered a bug, when I can't progress after a scenairo when I have too few spells to my two casters. When I try to add a new basic spell to Ezren, whatever I do, the spell moves back to the bottom list. If I try to give him a spell from my other caster (Lini) in the previous step he gets it, but then I can't give a replacement to Lini in the next step.

Can't redeem Humble Bundle purchase

Try to restart the game and reconnect to the network. That solved the same issue for me. -

Bug: Enemy Lore: Undead not defeating undead
Cainhu replied to dbt's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I encountered the same bug today. I think Enemy Lore: Undead didn't provided the Magic trait. I was fighting a Spectre with Divine check, and it got reshuffled to the deck two different times. -
Yes, it matters. As you said, you want to get rid of as much Basic (and later Elite) cards as you can, but it's not true for every card. (for example many people don't remove Cure spells, even having the oppurtunity) Also, it adds an additional layer of decisions in the tabletop game, as there are more ways to banish Basic cards apart from encountering them, and sometimes even weaker cards can be usefull during a scenairo. Best example for banish : closing locations. So do you close 1-2 more locations permanently, so you take a few more turns before beating the villain? Could it mean you loose if something bad happens? I'm ok with how the digital game dals with the issue, but it noticeably affects gameplay.

Oops, lost my loot
Cainhu replied to Keget's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Yeah, especially since currently Loot is bugged and doesn't show in you respective card type filters in Deck Rebuild. Starting with AD4, if one of your characters find themselves short on weapons (you didn't pick up new weapons and a character banished a weapon/gained weapon card feat), you *should* be able to pick up the Impaler right from the box (the 'Vault'). Let's hope this is not something they overlooked in coding, the way they did with the Rebuild Deck filters. It would be nice to see a rules clarification on this. Does Loot cards considered to be "in the box" for this purpose ? They are not, when you randomly draw cards etc. -

Lini questions
Cainhu replied to Narkon27's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
To be fair, he's a slow starter (not to mention a bit boring as a one-trick pony). Without a weapon and no hard bonuses to combat, he basically HAS to recharge at least two blessings to reliably kill anything. And with a starting hand of 4, this doesn't leave you much else to work with. Also, healing is not everyone's speed - certainly not mine. I now do it extensively on my solo-caster runs, out of necessity, but on my first-ever playthrough of RotR with 6 chars, I've maybe used healing once or twice in the whole game, just because I got a random Cure or something (and Kyra's 'healing' power was a huge waste of a power feat - you just can't afford to lose explores with 6 players). Basically, I prefer my characters self-sufficient and not *needing* healing in the first place, so I'd rather reserve my card slots for broader utility. (That being said, I do now have a party of 6 in Pathfinder Adventures, with Sajan within, and with couple of feats under his belt he's a perfect support - he's an opportunist that worships more than half a dozen deities, and so he always has just the *right* blessing for someone's check; and yes, he opened my eyes to the benefits of a Cure or two) Sajan is the one I find hard to wrap my head around.i agree mostly with what you said about him. I do find myself hoarding his blessing because even with a minor staff of healing it doesn't keep up, and he recharge quite the bit to reliably defeat many banes. A horde or two will ruin his hand pretty fast. And I can't go around hoping to pull healing pots every scenario. When role cards and level avail itself to developing fully in his specialized role, I might give him a spin He was easy, though counter intuitive, you just need to actively burn cards. At first you need to baby him, until he gets healing of his own. Then load him up with Fist Amulets (x2), Spyglasses, and Healing Staffs, and healing Allies. Make sure to load him up with as many of the 2 die dex combat blessings as you can get. Once you've done this (After adventure deck 1 or 2), you can burn through blessings to explore and not worry as much. While spending the BIG blessings for combat. Having those blessings is essentially the same as adding cards to your hand. Once you upgrade your fists to magic you don't need the Magic Fist Amulet and can upgrade to the better versions that give you 1d6 or 1d8. Except for the Fist Amulets all other cards you mention work well with any hero - who can work on their own without getting all non-spell healing themselves. Dedicating that many cards to make a weaker one-trick hero work as good as others is still counter intuitive for me. -
Patch 1.0.3 Notes!
Cainhu replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
One of the regulars actually asked about this ruling on the Paizo forum. Actually nor the regulary updated RotR FAQ nor the official Errata Cards pdf has anything about the Impaler. Normally it would mean it works as printed. -
in my understanding : They are compatible is not equal they are allowed/supposed to mix together for playing the official scenairos. It only means, if you mix them together for home games that won't cause any compatibility problem. (however in some cases it will create other problems or completely illogical things) If you read in the rulebooks that how you should play an Adventure Path it only mentions adding new AP cards when you start an Adventure, and didn't mention any suggestion to mix sets together. Non Adventure Path cards have their rules specified elsewhere - Class Deck cards for example have a card explaining how to add them to a game.

Is deck C worth 8 k gold?
Cainhu replied to Randevu's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Honestly, I think carrying two Cures for her is much more relliable, and then you can use her blessings and discard power more often. But it depends on personal playstyle. -
Is deck C worth 8 k gold?
Cainhu replied to Randevu's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
I played Lini in the physical game, and I never felt a problem with not having Weasels in ROTR at all. She can deal with combat well enough without dedicating three allies to combat checks. But dogs are definitely weak. 3 crows is actually more than what you have in the box, but they are usefull if available. Toad isn't really good with Lini, since it's need to be buried for it's special effect, which you don't need anyway. (my experinces with her were with 3, 4 and 6 player parties) -
Is deck C worth 8 k gold?
Cainhu replied to Randevu's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Three Crows ? The base set has only 1 Crow, so it seems they enabled to break that number to make Lini usefull without the C deck. Good to know. I consider the Crow a better ally anyway. C i think is supposed to have 1 Crow + 2 dogs as Basic animal allies. -
Sharing info about chest drops
Cainhu replied to Kamikazi's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Only the same way as no rule states directly that you can't mix in Monopoly components. Actually the rules of differents sets define what you can add into the game and when. - You start with the base set and Character-add on (if you have it) - You add AP-s when you beat the earlier one B -> 1 -> 2 - You normaly add promo cards together with AP1 - Additional components like specific promo cards (anything with owner mechanism, or Class X ships in S&S etc) and Class Decks have their own rules - Characters can be played in any AP, regardless their original set Of course, for home games you may do anything you want, and mix sets. Possibly that will happen in quest mode in the future.
