I do realise but Total War games are normally based on the most Epic of Empires spanning like 200 years or something not just a War or 2.

wow, guys off topic but I just got the crazyest De-ja-viou (Sp?) EVER reading this thread. I almost litrally new what was going to be said before reading it and I KNOW.. its happened before. Whats even weirder is I remember LAST TIME it happened I was also this shocked to read it.. .. Scary! I should lay off them drugs ;p

It was actually quite fun, But its deffinitly not CAs strong point they should stick with RTS games in the future. Pluss I got to the last boss of the game and with out any spoilers it was bloody impossable, but for what it was.. you'd expect it to be.

This is insanity.. For a start Games dont even make sence on most drugs. Thats what annoys me when people say 'This game is like *something* on Acid' Because honestly when your on Acid playing a game wouldnt even make sence.. you'd be like WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!? Then you'd probably come up with THE BEST SONG LYRICS IN THE WORLD EVER! Convinced you've just thought of something so orignal and thought provoking that no body has ever even attempted too think as complexly as this you go write it down so not to forget how AMAZING it is. The next morning you remember how pleased you were with your self rush to the pile of stuff you collected in your corner of the room you spent the last 7 hours sitting in to find something like this: Welcome to an Acid/ Mushroom trip.

but eventually they'll run out of revolution. Well they deffinitly will when it comes to history anyway. To much focus on Guns wouldnt fit well with Total War so that rules out WW1 WW2 and anything past it. Rennaisance Total War? Napoleon Total War? Aztek Total War? Fantasy total war would be cool but not a complete move away from history eather because I know alot of the TW fans are fans for the history that is involved.

Its called Panzer Dragoon Saga for the SEGA Saturn and its amazing. alternitively there is Panzer Dragoon and Panzer Dragoon Zwei on the Saturn which are onrail shooters. There is also Panzer Dragoon Orta which is also an Onrail Shooter on Xbox. But PD Saga is where its at. The story and amout of detale in the game is amazing, they have written a massive history for the game it even has its own language. My game would be a FPS based in space where you are the leader of a sqad of a highly trained Recon groop who have to keep the peace in the universe but come across A massive abandoned ship in space that went missing 10 years before and just re-apeared. So you get inside and suddenly there is all this crazy **** going on like the crew are there but have gone mad and the ships robots are after you. Genetic experiments too. Anyway you work your way through the ship taking out these crazys trying to find out what happened.. you come across the usual distress recording that didnt get send out saying a goverment experiment that they were transporting went wrong 20 these crazys excaped Anyway they have crazy powers and dragged the ship into another dimention which was completely crupt and crazy and nothing made sence which drove the crew crazy. Anyway while you find this the ship you arived on is attacked by one of them which manages to blow up your ship. So you and your squad have to kill off all these bastards before the massive ship your on crashes into a planet its headed too and these things get free. What sets THIS game apart from the rest is that you give your squad different commands by talking into a microphone, They understand all the different commands like 'Flank' 'fall back' etc etc etc. This may seem like hard work on the developers part but its not impossable and can be done really well. (See SEAMAN on DreamCast) I'd probably get Monolith and SEGA to develope it togeather, Monolith for the engine SEGA for the voice control work. THATS MY GAME!

SOLD! Hmm, I wonder which direction Total War will go when they have done Medieval 2.. They will probably do Shogun 2 and Rome 2 And an 'Invasion' for each game. But after that. The British Empire? seems unlikely... It would be awesome if they did a Fantasy total war series.

Ohio girls face potential charges for joke after bomb squad is called; teenagers made life-size Mario power-up boxes, hung them around town. Games have gotten some kids in trouble again, but this time it's a far cry from the Devin Moore case, which continues to make headlines. This time the source of the problem wasn't an M-rated game like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or Doom, it was the seemingly innocuous Super Mario Bros. In the town of Ravenna, Ohio, five teenage girls, ages 16 and 17, crafted some life-sized power-up boxes modeled after those in the NES classic. The cardboard boxes were covered in shiny, gold wrapping paper and had the black question marks familiar to most gamers. As an April Fools joke, the girls laid 17 of these boxes around the town in public spaces Friday morning. The humor was lost on some residents, however. After noticing one package on the steps of a church, a concerned citizen reported the "suspicious package" to local authorities, who called in the county's hazardous materials unit and the bomb squad. Upon further inspection, no materials designed to harm people, mushrooms to increase a person's size, or flowers that bestow the ability to project bouncing fireballs were found inside the boxes. The packages were empty. Ravenna Police Chief Randall McCoy told the online edition of the Record-Courier that one girl came into the police department with one of her parents and claimed responsibility, saying it was just a joke. Apparently, the girls got the idea from the Web site Quantz.com, which gives detailed instructions on how to make the boxes. The Web site intended the posting to inspire art projects, and several subversive artists have submitted photos of their Mario blocks in action across the country. The girls face possible criminal charges for their actions. While most in the online community think the authority's actions are a tad extreme, McCoy defends the proceedings of his department. "The potential is always present when dealing with a suspicious package that it could be deadly," McCoy told the Record-Courier. "In today's day and age, you just cannot do this kind of stuff." A posting on Quantz.com responds to the incident in Ravenna. "Not everyone has the same cultural context and not everyone is relaxed about public spaces. I think the series should stop while its ahead, the more they do with it the more likely it will get ****. A game however, to finish the hole thing (if done VERY WELL) Would be great.

I LOVE TOTAL WAR... The first total war back in the day was super impressive to me and from then on I've been hooked. I wouldnt say Im a crazy fanboy collecter of it that gets everything on release. But yeah Im a fan.. Any other big fans here? Whats your favorite Total war and your favorite Map and Factions. Mines probably Medieval for the time period, Then again Shogun Was the orignal and impressive at the time. But Rome, Rome introduced the best tactical over world map.. I think my favorite is yet to come out, Medieval Total War 2 <3 Bloody Hell that game looks sweet!
