  1. Metal Slug 3 will be on XBLA next Wednesday with online co-op. 800 pts. SOLD!
  2. Krookie, get in the game now, you tool.
  3. I like Gears of War and all (fantastic co-op campaign), but you don't see me defending the story. Then again, the story doesn't need defending. If you're going to criticize bad storytelling, do it for games that have tons of mediocre writing and proclaim to have a good story, like Oblivion.
  4. Well, we had a nice search & destroy CoD4 session with Monkey. Krookie mysteriously died on us. It almost seemed like one of us planned his untimely demise, and it sure wasn't me.
  5. Kane and Lynch only has local co-op, and NO ONE will be playing the PvP online.
  6. Your dog ate your face.
  7. Or you need a wire.
  8. Yeah, you're banned from our zombie sessions.
  9. Maybe you should have asked for a freaking mic.
  10. I have a few days off. I think I restart work on Friday or something. Nick is away (Ireland, ROFLTUNASANDWICH) until the 27th, so no gaming from him till then. I crashed devdude's party in CoD4 yesterday, but he was just by himself in the lobby and seemed to be away. Jerk.
  11. I'm not really into skating games, but the Skate demo was pretty nice. Controls seemed pretty well implemented.
  12. I got Virtua Fighter 5 for cheap this week. I don't usually like fighters much - or at all(aside from Super Smash Brothers, but that's hardly a fighter). It's very technical and lot more focused on timing and finding openings/opportunities to strike, rather than depending on longwinded button combinations. The non-button-mashing gameplay has made it a lot of fun. Online is also surprisingly entertaining, and very challenging. I actually ordered an arcade stick to play this game properly. It's a pretty cool competitive game. My W/L ratio is hilariously awful. Also, my 360 has never really been noisy, or I haven't really noticed. Though it's actually running right now and I'm only hearing the in-game sound.
  13. You'll be the first person I block.
  14. What ramza is trying to say is that he enjoys games like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy Tactics or Fantasy Realms.
  15. You're like the mute protagonist who sends his teammates to their death. I only played the original partly on PC. I'd be game to give the two games another shot if the Xbox versions were BC. It'd also be neat if OFP Elite was BC.
  16. I'm looking forward to BiA3. Too bad they haven't revealed much for multiplayer --> co-op campaign. Jerks.
  17. I thought Gabs already joined. I'm pretty sure I saw her name on the members' list.
  18. If you think Kaft is Gabs' alt, you're gravely mistaken.
  19. Ballroom dancing is a vigorous workout, jerk.
  20. I wonder what happened to DR's alt.
  21. I have girly hands too. The 360 controller works very well for me.
  22. Co-op shooters: going through the story/campaign with two players. I draw a very important line between co-op and PvP. I'm not sure if Worms is 'co-op' per say. But there are teams or something, so I guess you could gang up on the AI teams. I don't rent games. I like to support the devs. I usually research the games I invest in well enough to make an informed decision. So far, it's worked fairly well. I wouldn't have in the past, but now I trade in the games that weren't worth supporting. If there's something I'm not sure I'll like, I'll trade old games for it at EB, or I'll wait till the price drops.
  23. Hehe, Lost Planet is my singleplayer 360 GOTY as well. I converted jerkface. I thought the demo was okay. It wasn't until I beat the first level boss on hard difficulty (which took me 1h30 to do, and 20-30 attempts) that things really clicked. That was just the tutorial for me. Insane boss fights (if you're not playing in wuss mode) are really the highlight of the game. Your rapidly-dropping thermal energy does make a different during the missions on hard as well. You can't really explore at a casual pace; it's more a race for survival. I feel like I was at least competent at the game when I finished it on hard, but now I'm stuck on the first level boss - again - on extreme diff.
  24. I'LL KILL YOU, YOU BLOODY CAMPER On a sidenote, offline co-op games that I own: Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, GRAW2, Halo3 (Halo1/2 also work for backwards compatibility). Now, these don't work so well if you don't like FPS/third person shooters. Otherwise, Guitar Hero II (though you need 2 guitars, but I found it worth the price), NHL 2008. I don't remember if Forza2 (realistic 'sim' driving game) has 2p or not, but I only have one wheel, so the point is moot. If you like JRPGs, Eternal Sonata is a neat little lighthearted one. There may be some others, but I forget. Other offline shooters are Kane and Lynch, Earth Defense Force 2017 (both 3rd person shooters). Marvel Ultimate Alliance is apparently a solid brawler (correct me if it lacks 2p offline). There are some others, but they may not necessarily be worthwhile. I think Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero have it as well. If you're into oldschool arcade beat-em-ups and are willing to get Live Arcade games, Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe and TMNT are fun diversions. Aegis Wing is a free horizontal shoot-em-up. The arcade versions of Contra and Super Contra are also available. Ikaruga isn't out yet, but that one is going to be awesome (vertical shoot-em-up).
  25. If you can call them battles.
