  1. It would seem funny because suddenly everyone would be jumping at escape velocity :D
  2. If there was enough people, I imagine the jump would make us all look like we are jumping much higher than normal, as we push the Earth away.
  3. Hence the hypothetical hypotheticalness of hypothetics. I know that there is no way that there is enough people to exert enough force.
  4. Same plot as the first one? I'll admit I haven't seen the first one in a long time, but I don't recall a huge "OMG Superman is back" in the first one.
  5. Make sure you're not always waiting.
  6. Abit, IIRC, used to be the big dawg in terms of OC friendly motherboards. I've been an Asus fan for pretty much my entire life though (motherboard wise...not sold on their video cards)
  7. Is that You Kor?
  8. That's the impression I get as well.
  9. Fortunately, Bethesda publishes their own stuff, so there is no additional, outside concern about risks.
  10. The comment about sticking with what they are good at was directed to a question about isometric views and turn based combat though.
  11. True. But IMO the advantages of the DDR2 memory, at least now (and on AMD platforms) seemed a bit lackluster. Though I'll admit that once I bought my new computer, I didn't care much for computer hardware so the AM2 came and went without me caring. Though I find that I'd be more likely to replace a CPU before I replace a motherboard, so I'm not sure how much of an advantage it would be for me to be able to keep an AM2 CPU with an AM3 motherboard. The only times I really upgrade my motherboard is when better CPUs for my original motherboard are no longer available. An exception could be graphics cards, but PCI-Express is still very new, so I don't see it getting replaced any time soon.
  12. My Dad said that joke once. I remember in the movie Once Upon A Crime, James Belushi is waiting to get chips for the casino and some guy in a heavy accent says "Are you finished?" His reply: "No...are you Swedish?"
  13. Also a good point.
  14. We'll see. It might just provide that open wasteland that the first game didn't really provide (unless you include the little dot on the Pip Boy minimap to really be "exploring the wasteland.")
  15. Because I didn't remember the AM2 when I posted (mostly because I didn't really know about it). Having said that, a socket 939 is still better than the Socket 754, and IMO the AM2 isn't really all that huge of an upgrade over the 939...not compared to the improvement the 939 saw over the 754.
  16. Yes they are.
  17. If you have the motherboard, I'd consider it. But I wouldn't recommend anything that wasn't Socket 939.

Ah. Well at least your lack of Combat Mission updates was because you were busy saying intelligent stuff.
  19. That is a prety big if. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Depends. Many people seem to really like Oblivion. Including yourself. Are they really that incapable of making a quality game?
  20. Are we talking about converting some of the Earth's matter into energy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, in the sense that Earth's matter is consumed by people and those people subsequently jump. Same goes for whatever mechanism fires the big giant thingamajig.
  21. How contained is the system, really? I guess it is pretty contained because we can't really jump at escape velocity. Lets say we built something that could exert enough force on the planet to actually alter the orbit of the planet. Naturally, this would likely result in that object skyrocketing off into space itself as you'd need an ass load of force to do that. Now, hypothetically (and I'm talking hypothetically...like really hypothetically), if the population of the planet, were able to put a combined net force that is similar to our big object earlier by jumping, what would happen?
  22. True. They could act differently knowing they are being observed. Of what?
  23. I'll be taking a video camera and popcorn to enjoy the theatrics.
  24. I'm playing "WTF why won't this GUI do WTF I want it too!" It's good times!
