  1. Coop campaign is fun. Second best is (depending on the game title) MP campaign. I'd love to be able to play a game like Call of Duty or Rome: Total War in the campaign mode with a friend. Heck, it's why I even picked up a game like Europa Universalis.
  2. That's easy to say when you're not in that situation though. I agree that pity is not the best solution, but it's going to come the second the ass monkey's in the world notice her in real life. The possibilty of this person having a life remotely as "normal" as the vast majority of people is zero percent.
  3. Or if they just don't want recent applications. DOS? Yeesh. I wouldn't consider a somewhat functioning GUI to be "eye candy," but if I'd like to play pretty much any game (or application for that matter) in the last 8 years, you better be using at least Win9x. Newer applications coming out no longer support Win9x anymore though.
  4. I've never OC'd a DAC. I didn't even know you could. But unless I couldn't get my resolution with refresh rate, I'm not sure I'd even see the need.
  5. There's still a decent number of people playing in the Closed Battle.net servers by my roommate's account. Though not quite as many in hardcore, which is the only mode my friends and I play in.
  6. Gotta pay off that schooling somehow.
  7. No no no. That will take away from the fun of the Bush bashers!
  8. Still seems a bit introspective. How does one conclude that he or she exists? Or better yet, how can we demonstrate that something that isn't "self-aware" is incapable of understanding he or she exists?
  9. I've seen dogs that have reacted to their reflection like they do to other dogs, and others that don't.
  10. Dogs are incapable of recognizing that a dog inside of a mirror isn't another dog?
  11. IIRC, you never deemed KOTOR 2 to even be worth your money.
  12. Just like the Mozart babies. I give up.
  13. No it's not. It's reacting to the mother's physiology. You could have a mother that doesn't give a crap about a potentially stressful situation, and one that becomes a basketcase. In both cases the "surroundings" are exactly the same, but the effect on the fetus is very different. The "brain" isn't reacting to anything. It's just being fed whatever the mother feeds it.
  14. Well, you apparently can go from Crusader Kings, to EU2, to Victoria, and soon to HOI2 DD. I really like Victoria. It's economy is far and away the most complex out of all of their games, and it's fun building up your empire. It takes a few play throughs to learn how to really industrialize, but once you figure out how to get that empire it's a lot of fun. I have heard that there are plans to have a CD release of the expansion however.
  15. So you could go "through" the portal from the rear and be unaffected?
  16. I can understand conditions arising beause of stress and whatnot to the mother. But you can make similar findings with respect to disease. People that don't suffer from stress are physiologically more likely to deal with disease more efficiently. I'm skeptical as to whether or not the fetus is "feeling," rather than just being affected by the physiology of the mother.
  17. Is there any empirical evidence for this?
  18. That one guy would probably be me. I remember my roommate and I were the only ones laughing when Cyclops suggested to Wolverine that maybe he'd rather wear yellow spandex
  19. How would they be able to understand anything?
