  1. This is still sort of similar to my expectation. The Deus Ex example had me a bit reminscing of some of the very wide open gameplay options.
  2. Hmmmm. Do you have any DLC installed?
  3. How far into the game are you? I believe if you have done all the "random encounters" when the game flags one, it'll default to the dwarf merchant.
  4. I remember reading that using smashing as an outlet can be bad though, as you'll condition yourself to react to stress that way. Moderation and a variety of ways to release would help I think. I'm a lame sensitive type and actually prefer to talk
  5. Well, just as a comment, the impression of non-linearity I get from the game was more macrolevel than microlevel. That is, changes in the narrative based on your dialogue. I sort of had the impression that the "combat" areas would be "somewhat" linear, with some variation on how to deal with the hostiles you deal with (sneak past, punch 'em, or pewpewpew). So I guess our initial expectations are a bit different
  6. Neat! I was curious how effective that type of product placement would be.
  7. You can bring in help for that fight though. As for overwhelm, I don't think it's technically a "knockdown."
  8. I'm curious how successful the approach taken with Levi has been.
  9. You'll still need dex with rogues, to get the abilities.
  10. I think Hurlshot is just being silly. I still think people are referring to Mechwarrior 2 when they say MW2
  11. I have never used it myself, but I heard that those two are involved in a combo in some way. I don't recall the order though.
  12. The toolset causing issues is a common complaint from what I can tell. Too bad Which part of the game are you at specifically?
  13. Yeah Force Field is a very, very useful ability. There's a combo involving it too
  14. That fight is also a special encounter. What happens when you lose it? Let me know if the problem persists a reload.
  15. BWAHAHAHAHA http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/9/index/181432
  16. It's very useful for leading to shatters that come from spells like Stonefist and critical hits.
  17. That's why I liked the elves haha. They had bows. Mages were terrifying to play with!
  18. I think our societies over-prescribe personally.
  19. My "stealth edit" isn't really one, since there's a comment at the end of my post. I had responded without quotes to the last post of the last page, which didn't make much sense when I realized that A) The issue was already clear B) My post was not following the post I thought.
  20. I could see haste being valuable, in that it can be applied to other targets. Never used it though.
  21. I would be very surprised if the game had harder to kill enemies on easier difficulty.
  22. I was actually kicking myself because I took my sweet time getting that talent haha.
  23. I put my strength to 25 (27 with buffs) to get Tier 6 swords, which really helped.
  24. Well there you go Like the Klingon's themselves, the source inspiration for the Dwarves is probably a hodge podge of a variety of influences.
