  1. Well, I don't think they have a king for one. And their crest is a rising sun. Also, the Aedyran Empire's crest if the pearl sceptre, and that symbol above the crown looks like a pearl. I'd say they are an exiled line of Aedyran royalty, or maybe a lapse colony. Definitely some Weodican shenanigans whatever it is. Yup: the way their quote is written, making use of a most British-sounding "Would that we..." definitely brings to mind the Aedyran way of speaking https://youtu.be/kGpsXuMvApo
  2. I paused the doc at a very relevant moment.
  3. I actually think the returning companion teasers are over now, and now they're teasing other aspects. I reckon this might be teasing a new faction. The quote uses 'we' instead of 'I' and talks about bringing law to this land. I think his might be our Knights of the Crucible kind of faction. Good point! The new teaser also seems to relate to the faction (Vailan Republics or Five Suns order?), not a character. Yup, I'm convinced these are factions now. The crossed cannons are Rauatai, today's is the Republics, and my prediction for tomorrow is the white scepter of the Aedyran Empire OR the stag-head of the Dyrwood. My wonderful guidebook to the PoE settings says Deadfire is constantly fought over by the major nations, and Aedyr and her colonies seem to be the last one left. My thoughts exactly!
  4. Where do these names come from? Kanonn Feesh sounds kinda made up. "Kinda" xD
  5. Sounds like an artifact closely linked to Eothas, the god of light.
  6. It seems like yesterday and today's teasers are somehow intertwined. They could be introducing two new companions, yes, but what if the characters speaking also represented something bigger, like a faction or, in this specific case, their countries: Rauatai and Old Vailia? And what if their quotes referred to their homelands' views about the planned conquest of the Deadfire Archipelago? *Shifty, speculating eyes*.
  7. I thought about Kana too at first, but both the crossed cannons + fish logo and the quote below it don't really fit his character.
  8. Definitely not Maneha. They sound like a totally new character of the corsair-like persuasion.
  9. This! https://www.instagram.com/p/BJbB6FLAb7Y/?hl=en And also this, coming directly from the pdf he used for his Code Europe talk and kindly shared with his twitter followers: Schermata 2017-01-21 alle 19.14.30.png Oh, and by the way: won't you all look at Obsidian's new homepage... Looks like we're dealing with a brand new corsair-type of character here! Also look at this Josh Sawyer's presentation picture: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58877228/Code_Europe_2016_Game_Programmers.pdf New Eder (and Pallegina?) picture with him standing on a ship with mast on the background. The other character semi-hidden in the picture doesn't quite look like our Pally, though: if you look closely enough, you can see what seem to be some strings of white hair waving around
  10. What? Where? What did I miss? 11. Ancient High Priests; The Palid Knight and other gods' emissaries; the gods themselves. MOAR DRAGONS.
  12. That auld Edér picture always gets me. Not to mention that battle-worn Aloth, with his battered armour all stitched up. I mean, just look at him, our elven boy, all grown up! *Goes sobbing in a corner*
  13. Especially since all the rights pertaining to our much beloved Fallout franchise now belong to... *quiet sob*... Bethesda Ent.
  14. Definitely Aloth. Apart from the clear grimoire & Key aesthetic, that "Perhaps" is quite revealing indeed.
  15. Correct. They were also present in a few cryptic development screenshots.
  16. Is it ARUI or AREI? (Vailian 'e') Perhaps you're right. I had assumed it came from this: https://www.instagram.com/p/BFrXir9px4P/?taken-by=jesawyer1975&hl=it
