  1. Right. I'll go for Visar Marr, because, judging by her last name (Marr), she'll spur like a kitten when stimulated correctly . Mr U
  2. I do not feel such indepth character creation will add to the game. Sure, you will be able to spend 30 minutes on creating a character, and I will probably create just the character I want to, but what's the gain? The only thing it does is make it more complex for the game-designers to make visors/masks that look good. If I remember the Sims Creation Tool properly, one could create some pretty weird stuff. If they do decide to expand on character creation, I would prefer they remove all reference to 'human', and give you the option of playing as a male/female alien, with just as much knowledge of language and preference of speaking galactic basic as a human. Personally, I would like playing a Zabrak for a change. Although it might not directly influence replayability, I rate it higher than being able to size one's nose. Mr U
  3. Perhaps the game asks you (when you tell about the outcome of KOTOR 1) whether you used the 'Canderous is a jedi' mod, and if you have, Canderous is the Dark Lord. That would be a twist, now wouldn't it? Hmmm.. I doubt Nihilis will be familiar. It seems a bit cheap to me. Mr U
  4. A 40 year old guy in his basement? Is that your official hypothesis, or an educated guess? I would like to add that the Level 20 cap seems a bit restricting, when there are in fact Prestige classes. Personally, I will never consider Revan, or Kyle Katarn, or any of those characters in the same league as Yoda, Vader and Exar Kun. The storylines of games and those of movies have to be different. While a game (like KOTOR) needs to be filled with combat, a movie would be pretty boring with that much combat. The gradual process of a character becoming more and more powerful in the force is, in my opinion, only possible in games. Imagine a movie in which a character gains experience and gains extra feats. It would not seem correct. I just enjoy the game, and like that it plays as a Star Wars game. I do not compare my character to Darth Vader or Darth Sidious, but I like playing as something that approximates them. If a higher level cap makes me enjoy the game more, than I believe they should implement them. On a sidenote, I believe developers are quite capable of seeing what will and what will not work. They are not ignorant and they can see how a level cap will influence the game and the reality of that game. Mr U
  5. KOTOR 3: All the Republic Base are belong to the Sith The jedi order has been completely destroyed and The republic has been reduced to single apartment in the Coruscant apartment and the PC, one of the last remaining soldiers of the Republic will conduct hit-and-run tactics on the unsuspecting Sith soldiers. Than, early on in the game, when all hope is lost and and army of sith soldiers wait in front of the door, a ship emerges before the window. The ship is none other than an updated ebon hawk with automated defence turrets. It opens it docking bay and the republic soldiers flee the republic planet. On the ship they find the remainder of the jedi knights and jedi masters who have used the Ebon Hawk to free the last remainder of good soldiers in the Galaxy. When they arrived in an undisclosed distant planet, the jedi discover that you are in fact force sensitive. They take you into training. Sadly, as they have no lightsabre's and no training facility, your training is mostly comprised of the Yoda kinda training. Basically meaning you will slowly get in touch with the force, and will build a emotional bond with a lightside character. If the character at this point decides to go Dark Side, he will have to break an important bond with the main character, and this will create a much more difficult and much more complex gaming experience for that player. LIGHTSIDE If the jedi-hopeful finishes his first training, he will receive visions of someone good being in danger. He decides to leave and try to rescue him/her. A jedi master will accompony the jedi-hopeful and teach him/her the important lessons of the jedi. The endangered person will be the first official member of the player party. The player will than travel the universe attempting to find allies to build up a republic strikeforce. Hidden people (think Gungan's) will rise up as the Jedi-hopeful does quests for them, and slowly a new republic will emerge, the jedi-hopeful quickly gaining prestige and power as a new force to be reckoned with. Eventually the PC will have to take it up with the Dark Lord herself/himself, which may or may not be someone you know from KOTOR1/KOTOR2. DARKSIDE A darkside character will have to make that choice early on as he refuses training by the jedi order as he spots weakness with the jedi masters. However, there are plenty of other points where he can turn on his masters and become sith. The sith campaign is basically activated by going to Korriban, where the Sith academy has been more than restored, and delivering a fresh load of sith marauders and assasins to take over outer rim worlds. Applying to the Sith academy will not be as easy as it was in the original KOTOR game. When has entered the Sith academy, the jedi-hopeful will be, on one hand, trying to take over the core worlds by taking out important political characters or influencing the government (depending on your prestige class), and stopping the jedi. The Jedi knights will take over the lightside function of the PC if he/she chooses to be Darkside and will negotiate with planets to join the 'New Republic'. It is than up to the PC to, one way or another, stop the planet from rebelling. Expect to be given command over large groups of allies and fight large groups of enemies. The player can choose to take on an army, if (s)he so wishes and if (s)he is powerful enough to do so, but (s)he can also use his/her powers to enhance his/her army and use the Force to win the battles for the Sith. The final battle will consist by defeating the former Dark Lord and ripping the Mantle of Dark Lord from his feeble grasp. Mr U
  6. I disagree. Although the turret game may be fun, the minute you actually loose the game (My whole screen was blurred, something I had never experienced before, and I was unable to see anything, really) and you get that 'Your whole party is killed. Return to Main menu.', it's more than just a little annoying. And, that one minute is deduced from gaming time I would rather invest in RPG-ing. Still, the developers saw, early on in the process of KOTOR 2, that the community did not much like the mini-games. I'm sure they will improve them so that they are actually worth playing. Mr U
  7. The way I understood was that the turret game is indeed voluntary, but if you choose not to, the Sith would board your vessel, and you would have to fight them. I don't have a source though. Personally, I think I'll play each game at least once to see if it's any fun/good. Plus, I have faith in the abilities of Obsidian to make a good and proper game. Mr U
  8. I'm from Europe, so the release date is not issue to me. Also, if it obvious that both games are identical, except the PC game has better graphics, and one can download community mods, my choice is quickly made. Also, I like being able to download patches. Mr U
  9. Now, if the double-bladed lightsabre is exclusive (read, I'll be the only one), I'll take that one. However, as I know I won't be the only one I'll stick with the single lightsabre, as I despise clich
  10. Well, I'm going to use my browser capabilities to ban myself from this site as soon as the game comes out on XBOX, and I will dedicate my life to onanism as long as it takes for one of them games to find it's rightful owner. Me. My experience is with spoilers that they generally do spoil a game, and I hate to miss out on the experience... Mr U
  11. I know Vandar's name, but I thought his appearance as a jedi master was rather cheesy. Yoda was a deep, wise character, and although Vandar was deep and wise, there was no real connection between the two. I think someone said on this board that KOTOR 1 missed sacrifice. I believe KOTOR 1 missed a real connection between characters. It was not satisfying at all for me to pick the Dark Side (Although I did :D), simply because it was way too easy. Vandar seemed so distant. Relevant information? Well, maybe not plot info if that is what you are referring to, but they will be able to have info on the force. They might be able to teach you stuff. Still, as I'm unsure of the composition of the storyline, further speculation on LS ghosts is irrelevant. I wonder whether we can still visit the ruins on Dantooine and get a look at the Star Map. Perhaps Atton will ask us whether Revan picked up the Jedi robe from Nemo's body. If we are lucky we can travel there, and pick it up from his corpse, or is that too much to hope for? Mr U
  12. Maybe they mutated . I wonder, though, since Malak took all the Jedi knights and drained the energy of them in the Star Forge, will there be any 'ghosts' on Dantooine? Perhaps Master "I look like Yoda but I'm not really him" will appear to us . And, those Force things sound pretty neat. I can't wait to enter them :D. By the way, isn't there a picture of that? It shows the PC (I think) kneeling in a room with the floor covered in lightning. Mr U
  13. Dark, II, Consular, Sith Lord, Single, Male. Second? Marauder. Than assasin. I played the KOTOR 1 lightside just recently, and that was just accidental. I despise moral weakness . Mr U
  14. PC + HK-50. Everything else is garbage waiting to be recycled. Mr U
  15. Just watched the 'teaser' on the lucasarts site, and I must say it looked impressive. However, when they showed combat, the protagonist was fighting two opponents (two creatures). He slashed in at one of them, but completely ignored the other one. Luckily, one of the teammembers kept firing at the creature, so it eventually ran over to that teammember and died. Is there any way that there will be combat against multiple opponent; will there be combat ala Darth Maul? It seems a bit odd when fighting three opponents that when you are striking one opponent you completely ignore the other two. I'm not asking for miracles here, just a block animation replacing the dodge (against the opponent you are not physically attacking) would be awesome. I await your response with great eagerness Mr U
  16. I'm not sure whether this question has been asked, and I haven't really searched for it, so my sincere apologies if it has been. In KOTOR 1, when a character engaged (melee) more than one opponent, he would just focus on one, and the others would just slash in on him. Is there going to be an updated system in which 1 vs 2 combat is possible without having one opponent being slashed to bits? Mr U
