  1. Let's discuss tier VIII & IX of Xoti's priest subclass. The loss of Incarnate could be potentially hurtful, but what bothers me most is the absence of Light of Eothas at tier IX, which does not make particular sense to me, given the fact that she has access to Symbol of Eothas at tier VIII. Sounds more like a bug?
  2. While I don't think that multiclassing him is a no brainer, I completely agree with you that multiclassing him could increase his support capabilities a lot. But I'm not sold on spending any of my (generated) precious and limited phrases on the "not-overlapping" invocation-additions of his subclass, namely Bulwark Against the Elements, Crackling Bolt, and Chain Lightning.
  3. Now I get it, but what's the selling point here exactly? Because the Chanter class already comes with better offensive/defensive invocations. I agree that multiclassing to chanter could be a beneficial decision, but that does not make his chanter subclass any better.
  4. Oh I thought you meant something unique to his subclass. I assume L4wlight meant his sub was bad compared to a vanilla Chanter.Yes. Chanter already comes with strong offensive Invocations. The additions of his Subclass seem lackluster to me.Even with Heart of the Storm from his druid class? Heart of the... what? You mean the generic POE1 talent?
  5. You have to decide whether you need a Chanter or not. Some Chants are pretty nice to have! But imo it's more a decision between single-classed druid or multiclassed Druid/ Chanter.
  6. Oh I thought you meant something unique to his subclass. I assume L4wlight meant his sub was bad compared to a vanilla Chanter. Yes. Chanter already comes with strong offensive Invocations. The additions of his Subclass seem lackluster to me.
  7. His Chanter subclass is largely disappointing. I think he is better off as pure Druid, at least,if you're not in dire need of some of the Chanter phrases.
  8. You did see the penalty though, right? I think it's by far the worst monk subclass. What I like though is that she can regenerate Mortification thanks to the lantern.
  9. Didn't know his special water shaping spells were foe only. SWEET! Foe only Chill Fog is pretty dope... And Ice Wall...
  10. The lantern should work with killing blows via priest spells, but I guess we have to find out whether her first level sickle-spell counts as melee attack or not for it to proc the bonus wounds.
  11. Oh wow. Her monk subclass is really... bad... I like her lantern though...
  12. Does it hurt Devoted more than it does Fighter? At least multiclassing to Devoted is no longer a no brainer for martial builds.
  13. With the Intuitive inspiration being nerfed to 25% Hit to Crit, Devoted suddenly looses a lot of appeal for multiclassing.
  14. Skald: Offensively skilled and with good party support, Old Siec Would Not Rest 'til His Hunger Was Sated potentially provides good amounts of healing, especially against paralyzed targets (also Her Courage Thick as Steel got nerfed to trash tier) Her Tears Fell Like Rain makes me want to rotate between it and At the Sounds of His Voice, the Killers Froze Stiff, but this probably requires huge action speed buffing (alchemy ^^) Their Champion Braved the Horde Alone as the only source for the Energized inspiration? While a single-classed Skald has access to some powerful party buffs (And with a furious thrust, drover her dagger into his heart, With all your Strength, Slay the Beast!, His heart did fill with the light of the Dawn! to name some), multi-classing (Devoted offers a lot of synergies) might be the way to go to maximize offensive and defensive capabilities Offensively, empowered Eld Nary's Curse Spread Through Their Midst might be the strongest point for creating a single-classed Skald and should result in trillions of foe jumps, but I doubt that's enough Skald/ Monk: I wonder if it is possible to play a ranged glass-cannon Skald/ Hellwalker per Instrument of Pain; that'd seriously kick ass! Like seriously... k i c k... a s s... Seriously... ;-) That's probably the first thing that I'll test at launch!
  15. I agree: Ciphers in general get some pretty good late game party buffs (Ansestor's Honor, Defensive Mindweb, Driving Echos) and compared to PoE1 the Ascendant has the potential to keep all of them up Ascendant with Ansestor's Honor + Driving Echos = Wizard's best friend Screaming Sounds should make chop suey out of large groups of spirits/ vessels, especially with Shared Nightmare; depending on the end game content this could be top or flop
  16. There eventually will be mods to "fix" this cosmetic issue (I really hope so!).
  17. Monks: They got so many interesting stuff Single-classed monks definitely will be a thing too Instrument of Pain has so much potential! High-level abilities are gucci Heartbeat Drumming has high exploit potential Very versatile class Inner Death: We need a highest single-attack-crit-thread asap Boss one-hitting potential Great Empowered Strike synergy Whispers of the Wind: Shattered Pillars should be able to spam this non-stopEDIT: Added screenshots.
  18. Beckoner: Summoning two great wyrms sounds very powerful to me! Ogres with Cleave (yes please!) Summoning Phrase (oh yes!) High Level Beckoner + High Level Priest: Many Lives Pass By, Each Leaving Footprints (skeleton summoning phrase) + Did sing a song of carnage Fair (8 Ancient Weapon summons) or Ancient Brittle Bones (up to 12 skeletons) + (Priest) Spark the Souls of the Righteous = BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
  19. I, for one, am less optimistic here. I'm a bit disappointed by the very fact that Wildstrike Frenzy is an on kill effect. Level VI and upwards offers little to nothing for the Shifter subclass (except for Avenging Storm, which no longer stuns on hit and is accessible by scrolls too). I'm honestly a bit demoralized, as I had high hopes for the single class Shifter. Multiclassing to monk (and maybe rogue) seems to be the way to go imo.
  20. Barbarian/ Soul Blade: Blood Thirst + Soul Annihilation = godmode (Max Focus will quickly hit the stratosphere ^^)
  21. 1) In Update 40 an old version of some full ability trees (rogue & druid) is shown very briefly (~ 2:20) 2) Data-Mining @ RPG Codex
  22. Based on the Beta? Yes. As for the release version: Well that depends on a lot of things (encounter length in mid- and endgame, high level abilities etc.) and whether you want to play the Shifter as pure melee [-> multiclass indeed] or as caster/melee hybrid via pre-casting Returning Storm, Relentless Storm, Avenging Storm [tier 8], Greater Maelstrom [-> single class]. It also depends on whether you like micro management or not. We also have no information yet how strong the Wildstrike Frenzy passive [tier 8] will turn out to be. And what the heck is Aspect of Galawain [tier 9]? Could as well be something like a very powerful Spiritshift form or self buff (aka druids Avatar).
  23. And let's not forget that Bleak Walkers only gain access to Spirit of Decay through a selected number of multiclass combinations (+Druid, +Priest or +Wzard).
