Politics XXXVI (will catch up to superbowls soon)
ShadySands replied to Amentep's topic in Way Off-Topic
I don't think it's fair to anyone to call Jared a leader, especially him. -
He has been pushing the drug for a while now and the only two responses Trump has to pretty much anything are to double down on it or to deny it. He's never wrong just alternatively correct. Apparently we have to accept this and it's okay because... reasons. No idea where he got the idea from in the first place but I'll give him credit for volunteering himself to be the guinea pig.

Got really sick last night and am man-flued out right now. Pretty sure my son picked something up from daycare and is sharing it with us. MiL and my wife are slightly afraid it's that one virus making the rounds but unless you can get it twice then I'm fairly sure it's not. MiL has a slight fever too so we're watching that. -
I loved Howard the Duck as a little kid. Kinda afraid to watch it now.

A physical distance block party. Was pretty awesome and the local band Wildermiss was really good. -
Pike was a bright spot in Disco but I think they've said that it's going to be be some of the same Picard and STD writers so I can't say that I'm looking forward to it in any way. I'm probably just done with Trek now or at least until it changes hands again, Fek'lhr willing.

Yeah, they don't generally accept produce for donations as it can be hard to store and keep fresh. That said, if you can contact them far enough in advance then they can probably get a solution in place. I used to volunteer at a food bank in a small farming town and mostly what they'd do with it is exactly what you did, find a church or shelter or something that can use it more efficiently/effectively. -
Man, I got 0 out of 20 but I only played less than half of those

Next AAA game from Obsidian after The Outer Worlds discussion
ShadySands replied to anon19023903's topic in Obsidian General
Fallout was fairly niche too and look how that turned out. -
That's pretty much it, but speaking of that, it's what brought the Romulans into the Dominion War and saved the alpha quadrant. That's part of why it doesn't make a lot of sense that 14 (of over 150) planets threatened to leave the Federation if they continued to aid them. Not that it makes any sense that they needed any aid in the first place as an empire that rivals the Federation and the Klingons. Though if for some reason that is never explained they did need the Federation then why would the Romulan super secret bad girls club sabotage that? I mean, let's blow up our rescue armada and blame it on the "synths" as plan A for stopping artificial life research is pretty dumb. Sorry, I can pick nits on this show all day long because it's just that sloppy

The fillers are delicious. Mmm, wood pulp.

After some more reflection this is pretty much how I feel as well as I never could get on board with entire premise because it was too inconsistent with previous Trek. Starting in such a hole meant that followed needed to be really good to dig itself out but that never happened for me as I thought it actually kept getting worse for the most part. I felt that they could have fairly easily made the whole thing more consistent while telling basically the same story but instead they went with the second line I quoted

I think GD liked it as well but he also liked what they did to Luke in TLJ IIRC The only person I personally know who liked Picard is my dad and I'm considering taking a DNA test because of it.

When did you try it? It's been improved a bit over time I love the game so I'd suggest that you stick with it. We can even do an Obsidian kinship (LOTRO version of a guild or whatever) if enough people are interested

What Are You Playing Now: The Other, Other Thread

Yeah, I remember you took the socialite etiquette skill because it fit your character even though I'm not sure it was ever used. Sorry for the double post but couldn't get it to combine satisfactorily on my phone. -

A little over a year for us here but the house itself was built in 67. The warranty was just for a year and that was up the first week of March. I went to edit this post and everything new I wrote got eaten as well. -

555 bucks minus a nickel later I now have power. The dude replaced a few breakers and rewired most of the panel. Crap I had a lot more but it somehow got eaten when I hit save -

Unless you know Shadowrun lore then DMS, the first game, might have an interesting story to tell but in all other respects it's generally the worst of the lot. The second game I think hit the sweet spot for most people but I still prefer the third game. Speaking of which, I'm going to fire up the high level follow on campaign right about now since KOTOR2 still doesn't work for me. -

I love it. The South will lose again!
