  1. There is no reason why this exact same build couldn't have 12 to 14 Might while still being primarily an interrupt build. You're casting lots of long duration AoEs, you may as well have it do damage. The other strat is to pump Resolve all the way to max as well. So you have enough concentration to off-tank. You've got 21 points in perception, you may as well take advantage of all that deflection. Could pair well with chanter for the -10 concentration song. Also I've heard there are mobs in this game (particularly bosses) that have their concentration set so high, that they are not meant to be interrupted. That was one of the points raised in the 'an interrupt-based party' thread.
  2. If I enter a dungeon, I should not be allowed out until I clear up to certain milestones. Once in, I have limited number of rests. This way I am forced to conserve. I have an option to teleport out, but I lose all XP and items and mobs respawn. (Not every area has to be like this.) Even in neverwinter nights, there were sections of the story mode where the player CANNOT rest. Pillars is a step backwards.
  3. I wonder how a dual-wield non-tank specc'd Monk will compare if placed in with this party. Lower or higher damage dealt than the fighter?
  4. There is a mod called "More Useful Animal Companions" that buffs each of the companion-related talents to give +8 deflection. http://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/mods/50/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fpillarsofeternity%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D50%26preview%3D&pUp=1 On retrospect I think it might be a bit too OP.
  5. Is it true that the Stag carnage is only 1m in range, while Barbarian carnage is 1.5m in range?
  6. You know, most of the world's gaming population couldn't care for a hardcore DnD-style RPG like this one. They'd find it hard to install even once. Let alone twice. So not being able to install twice isn't special. I tried talking to my friend about this game, and he phased out within the first 20 seconds. Just not interested.
  7. I noticed there isn't a mods section on the forums where we can discuss them yet there are mods for the game http://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/ (although not very active) Is there a reason for this? Are mods not encouraged? Would really like to see a challenge mod that rebalance enemies towards a higher difficulty for the veterans. Also would be nice to have some tutorials on how to make them.
  8. You might be dealing with a similar thing this person wrote? https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/75182-one-handed-weapon-in-off-hand-with-right-hand-empty-explioit/ Not exactly the same but, perhaps it's similar?
  9. For pure single-target only and aiming specifically to excel in the late-game, dual-wield will pull ahead once you've got your enchanted weapons and gear. But for overall damage and counting all the AoE hits you will deal from carnage, two-hander is better imo. Already mentioned, but One Stands Alone (which I consider to be an exploit when used w/ dual-wield currently) is being patched in 1.05, meaning two weapon style will be far weaker than it currently is once that's fixed.
  10. For the newcomers: This Build uses an exploit passive called 'One Stands Alone' which is being patched in 1.05 (confirmed), after which the AoE damage will not be nearly as strong. Right now the passive gives a static +20dmg per hit (which is ridiculously strong when you are delivering so many small hits). Without the exploit, I think it will still do good light aoe damage, but on the hardest difficulty, the barb will die too quickly so sustaining the aoe will be a problem.
  11. Cool idea! You should post on reddit as well if you haven't already
  12. A game like this is already in development, it's called Sword Coast https://swordcoast.com/ But of course I would love to have multiplayer. Just that, this game has already 100% geared its design towards the single player pause/click/pause campaign experience. To add multiplayer, you'd have to go back to the drawing board and find a way to create a game play that does not need to pause, which means you would need to go back and rebalance all spells and all abilities. So basically I suspect it will end up something like Dragon Age inquisition's multiplayer? In the same time I bet you you could create an entirely new game from scratch taking the same amount of development funds, and design it with multiplayer in mind. Therefore you may as well just create a whole new game.
  13. You can't change the look of the portrait on the fly like in PoE? That sucks
  14. Party of visual novel characters from Hananono Judge all you want, something as simple as customizing portraits really make the game for me, Anyone else created custom portraits for their party? Feel free to share
