On another note I just tried Debonaire/Nalpazca for a bit and I found out I really dislike Debonaire for reasons unrelated to Mohora. I think for solo play you really wanna go either ranger/monk, sc monk, priest/monk or sc assassin. Assassin doesn't have the chains from hbd/swift but combined with deltros and boltcatcher it will still do way too much damage (more than you ever need). If I was to play SC Monk, do I even get red flag off WotW or is it basic attack only?

I fooled around a little bit with this. You guys probably already figured this out, but red flag flying is a weapon attack. So even tho it goes vs fort you can buff it to the roof, while boltcatchers will stay low acc. If you wanna be real cheesy you can get +40 acc from scordeos with SoF (get the regular +20, switch weapons, save and reload, now you can get another +20 cuz the name of the buff changed :P). This way You should almost always be able to break the loop with boltcatchers, since your boltcatchers will be 40+ less accuracy.

Excuse me if someone replied this already, but you can confuse yourself with any class using Rakhan Field boots with Street Sweeper.. I did it quite a bit on my solo cipher, but it was relatively underwhelming for what i tried back then, since you can't extend the confuse duration with your own powers and it's only like 20 sec duration. However that duration might be enough for the Mohora Tanga Debonaire Tech since it seems to do enough damage to wipe out most encounters rather quickly?

Weapon and Shield is nice for the later game, on pala early game you have a massive lack of damage and ending fights faster with 2h will make fights safer because less resource heavy. Personally i always start with higher dex and lower might (2h have nice base damage and get more dps out of dex) and respec later (A3ish or DLC, depending where you go first) for a shield setup with only 10 dex and higher might. Keep in mind tho, this type of playstyle works better if you have played the game before and know where all the items are, which are specifically good for solo. Also A1 I do a lot of sneaking and only do necessary fights. (completely skip phantom fight at Caed nua with help of figurine, don't fight Raedric yet, sneak thru temple, etc.) So if you want to just get a feel for soloing starting with shield might be safer, you can easily beat the game that way, the early acts will just be a lot slower.

I don't ever use it except there, once you are level 16 and can do the grimoire switching spell stealing, you can extend cocoon on vela with SoT (it makes you untargetable to enemy but not "friendly" spells including friendly fire) and ofc you also get bdd. The problem is my route to 16 was bad so I only hit 16 in Ashen maw and with way too much traveling. Ideally I need to hit 16 in Neketaka or with enough time to just go to Neketaka, because the skeleton priests in Sacred Stair have both BDD and SoT.

And in old fashion I messed up my run with silly **** again. At the fire dragon my strategy was the usual pre summon fire blight with Magran belt, so Vela is scared before i cocoon her. However it took unusually long to summon the blight (blunderbuss broke to the last state before completely broken) so I got impatient and turned speed to double, because my combat speed was on half anyway. However during the dialogue with the dragon combat ends for a second and ofc my dumb ass forgot to reduce out of combat speed, Vela came out of cocoon to fast and the blight killed her... (it didn't follow me cuz I was untargetable due to cocoon) I think the safest way would have been to just do the dialogue first, then immediately sneak (i did that in my last run and it works perfectly, combat does not start), THEN do Magrans belt and then go activate combat with dragon....

Conversations aren't really locked by the class you play. Yes sometimes certain classes or backgrounds will get additional dialogues, but there will also be additional dialogues for the same outcome as long as you have the corresponding skills/attributes. If you're playing with a party this is quite easy, just spread your skills widely, specialize each party members in 2 skills, maybe even 4 after level 10 (shouldn't be necessary tho, you can even meet all dialogues solo but that requires metaknowledge). If you're not that into combat playing some sort of chanter might fit your playstyle quite a bit, either single class or multi, some of the better multis are psion/troubadour and bloodmage/troubadour, but honestly anything goes with a chanter and none of them is weak.

It's been a while and I'm doing another run. However I messed around too much with traveling and now I'm at 2 months and 2 days at Ashen Maw. Do you guys think it's possible to salvage this run at all, considering most people were 1 month 15 daysish for Ashen Maw? I also haven't even done nemnok yet...

I don't think @thelee is really missing anything in his guide The section to the soul blade is relatively short but he does correctly mention it's a better class for multiclassing. You can do some single class soul blade aoe memes if you don't mind cheesing with "the forbidden necklace" but for the most part you do want it to be mced with a rogue, fighter, barb, monk, ranger any martial class really. (even a wizard or priest can work well with them if you go the buff yourself melee route)
