I merely pointed out in his case that his opinions on 2ndEd vs. 3e aren't nearly as objective as somebody who actually has PLAYED/GMED both systems... Not just the PC RPGs. Remember, you were the first one to bring up academic history and so I responded in kind:

It was not meant to be a gloat although you took it as such. I was merely pointing out the fact that as the creator of the thread I am surprised it is still going after 6 months. This thread was revived just 5 days ago and is the third thread on this forum. In any case, it's you guys who have been keeping it alive for the past half year. I haven't even posted in a few months. As for those others that prefer d20. Poor lost souls.

This is where I stopped reading. It's all the proof I need that you will go to any lengths to further your personal crusade to bash the d20 system, even if it means making up stuff that you obviously know nothing about. The d20 system is by no means perfect, and not my first choice for the Fallout world. But it does follow the KISS rule, where many others don't. And that is a must for fun. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ummm Numbers.. Speaking of KISS.. d6 is even easier to learn than d20. Much easier.

yeah, I'm sure those indi games are well written...what's really nice is when you get that kind of writting with great graphics, VO, musical score, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which was what KOTOR and PS:T(in its time) were. I am one of those I guess that can stand ancient graphics as long as the story is good, well-written, and the gameplay is fun. Geneforge and Avernum were definitely that. Spiderweb Software rules my world.

KOTOR is my "modern" PST. It was probably the best game I had played since BG1 and Torment themselves. Well, then I played Geneforge and Avernum afterwards..

Agreed. Video game RPGs actually increased my interest in PnP as well. If it weren't for Hellfire, My name wouldn't be Lancer! Imagine that..
