NSFW: The end of Mel Gibson's career (thank non-extant gods)

Settle down the angry angries, gentlemen. -
So who is working on this game?
Tigranes replied to Flouride's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Not really - you're sliding away from my specific argument and answering in vague specifics. If it ain't broke - don't fix it, but that's within degrees: even in movies there are a lot of directors where people say "he's good, but I wish he'd do something a bit more different", or directors where they have an auteur level of consistency, but still reinvent. I think its very clear Soule has become very samey. I'm not talking commercially, btw. On the second - yeah, that's probably true, Soule probably gets the pitch for some of the work and thinks "again?!". -

Tigranes replied to Flouride's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
I dislike how formulaic Soule has become, but the Morrowind theme was awesome. I remember listening to it about 30 times and the song alone hyped me up for the game. It was simple but it fit the setting. Of course, then the game came out and it was 'too good' for half the computers out there and it crashed every 30 seconds. -
Games are buggy - it's a fact of life. Of course, it still frustrates when it affects you. Many people have no problems with AP, some have lots. If you're affected by a particular bug(s) that ruin the experience have a look on the tech forums for solutions, or if it's a new bug, post it to let the devs know. The devs have announced that a patch is in the works, but no ETA at the moment. Again you can continue to discuss this in the Patch Wishlist thread.

You guys can't even talk about the freaking lottery without fighting. I'm rubbish at maths so I don't pretend to know anything here, but is Dagon suggesting that it's impossible because the chances are so small? O_O

Uh... where does he use Garry's Mod in that comic? or you mean for other days?

Going to do university tutoring for third year media. I can't remember what the hell we used to do in tutorials, though, so it's scary. What makes a good tutor? From what I remember, smart people that didn't waste my time. That's about it.

Don't think it was the smartest idea on Bio's part to release these screenies, as Worst says it just looks like a testing area, and apart from the swordsman, who's clearly had attention paid to, it just looks like, I don't know, tinkering on the NWN2 toolset. We'll see..it's the environments and architecture that make it for me, anyway.

I really liked DA:O despite its porridge writing, so jury is still out on this one. I mean, come on. Dragon Age was about making a party, fighting in tunnels with that party, and getting some good loot. The most important details will be how that's changed.

Investigate Ruins Transmission - mission never ends
Tigranes replied to Krenn's question in Xbox 360 Support
It seems to be an issue with the script firing. Try not using any 'time-warp' (e.g. Chain Shot) effects when you get those last few enemies, try to kill them one by one spaced out (as opposed to, say, together with a grenade). Helped for me, maybe it kicks the script. There's more info on the same thread, PC Support. -
I can't believe none of you jumped on this like comedy gold. Let's start with intense dumplings.

Digital products is not the same as Steam, is it?

For WoW players amongst us, concerned about their privacy

Spiders appear out of the cracks and destroy homeless people if we don't. (i.e. forum doesn't like it) Good to know Blizzard took it back. It was a phenomenally bad idea, but many phenomenally bad ideas do happen. -
Who's designing this?

Funcroc is Herve's alt. -
The new Steam is indeed better for usability, lag, etc. I still think it should be optional, not forced - there's no good reason to make it forced, for the consumer. Whatever bad things Steam decide to do in the future you're stuck.

FG what are you arguing against? I'm saying the goal was legit, that there was no offside. And yes, the FK decision beggared belief. Elia had gone away so there was nobody within, what, 2m of the Spanish wall? And the ball bounced off like it hit a laser field.
-
Dull final, but most finals are dull. The better team won, but with no small help from a truly awful referee. The goal itself wasn't offside - when Fabregas played the ball Iniesta was clearly on. It's actually a bit clearer than FG's picture, which is at an angle that privileges the offside view. Nevertheless, 'three yellow cards' Webb ruined it - yellows when it should be nothing, nothing when it should be yellow, a nonsensical red out of nowhere, etc. It seemed like he came in with a mission to crack down on dirty play; he did so on the Dutch, who *were* dirty early on, but then decided the Dutch are the bastard children of Satan and had to be stopped by every means possible. The WC final needed a ref who was less prima donna 'I'm famous mama I'm gonna do this' and more level-headedness. Thought the Dutch did all they could given their clear inferiority in terms of player quality, if they could have stopped themselves from becoming so frustrated with the ref and if they could have knocked in one of their chances it would have been different. Certainly they had a better plan to stop Spain than Germany. Nevertheless, Spain probably deserves this, well done to the champions. Good to see Del Bosque pull out some reasonable tactical decisions, as well.

Spain's cans have rotted from disuse.

Obviously NZ is up in arms and Key is assuring everyone that refugees rejeected by the Aussies wno't all end up over here. I'm not sure if the superfast destruction of the super tax should count for or against her. -
We won't judge you, honey.

Obsidian would like to work on Chrono Trigger
Tigranes replied to funcroc's topic in Obsidian General
That's quite common - otherwise a lot of developers wouldn't be able to survive the development process. -
Anything, anything more than 20 is inhuman, if it's not windy. That said, right now it's raining all the time and my shoes retain water.

The next step is an automatic aggregator of available internet information on a person that employment services, police and other institutions can use to comb the web, and then make basic checks about what forums they participate in, their level of internet activity, etc.

I've always been a mod. Before I was working as a mole to try and gain your trust. Hurlshot - eventually, perhaps, but that 'eventually it won't be that bad' is no good reason to open a slippery slope and leave open room for exploitation.
-
I feel sorry for that particular mod, but in the grand scheme of things, this just shows you what this poorly thought out idea can do. It'll be very very easy to use twitter, facebook, workplace websites, google maps, etc., and get all kinds of material about a lot of posters. If it happened here, with the small tidbits about each regular member that I remember (e.g. mkreku was/is a video game journalist) I could look up a lot easily - hell, if I was lucky, I could do something like ring Hurlshot's home with only a small amount of effort. It doesn't really solve any problems, either - all it does is make Big Brother that much more real.
