  1. It's clear when the game plays itself with party AI on POTD something is wrong.
  2. same edit: for me the issue was i was using a lower resolution which didnt fit the entire screen. So i had these black edges where i couldnt scroll by moving mouse to the edge of my screen, but rather to the black edge. Solution: increase resolution to make game fit screen
  3. The main benefit of sword + pistol is to attack faster with a one handed weapon. If you dual 2 weapons, you will attack once with your main, then with your offhand etc, whereas sword + pistol will attack just as fast, but with your main hand only. So if you have one good sabre its better to use that with a pistol than to dual wield good sabre + normal sabre. The main benefit of dual wielding is using "full attack" abilities, which let you attack twice. For example, the dual pistol build is good for the paladin, because he can shoot both pistols after reloading while using flames of devotion. Sword + pistol on the other hand is better on classes that have many "primary attack" abilities (monk, fighters' knockdown and clear out). IMO the best "pirate" build is the helwalker/fighter with sword + pistol: - helwalker make him squishy, but allso gives him very good damage. The squishyness is however offset by fighters constant recovery, which is huge with helwaker might bonuses - good combat mobility with long stride (+ fast runner if you want for 40% movespeed). If you get too low, run away and regen while shooting with your pistol - when you reach level 10 your buffs and debuffs last forever with duality intellect modal - lots of "primary attack" abilities that have good synergy with sword + pistol style - For example, the monks force of anguish strike will knock the enemy away, then you can shoot him with your pistol - you can also deliver stun attacks from range which is nice. If enemies gang you, use "clear out" and run away. tldr; sword + pistol good for fast attacking with one handed weapon, fast delivering "primary attack" abilities. Flexible without having to switch weapon sets and suffer recovery from that. By the way you can cancel the reloading animation by just clicking on the enemy again. He will switch to his melee weapon and strike instantly
  4. I my current playthrough i have a custom wood elf priest of magran. I gave him the +10 accuracy talent, then went straight to Cad Nua to pick up the arquebus. On my way there i also picked up the fire essence in black meadow, and put burning lash enchant on it straight away. Now im doing the eothas temple and he is shooting shades and shadows for 40-60 damage, rarely missing. I think i will take Gunner talent on level 4 to augment his main attack.
  5. Im playing a moon godlike kind wayfarer right now. Only at level 5 though. Playing on PotD ofcourse. stats are 19 4 16 8 16 15 I started with lay on hands instead of flames because im playing a small group and need some single target heals. other talents are strange mercy, accuracy aura, weapon focus adventurer, inspiring triumph. Im using the estoc, damage and healing is very nice.
  6. No, it heals the full amount of what it says in the tooltip. In the combat log it will say [+20 endurance (0,7 second)] and 0,3 second later the bonus (if any) is applied. This is the same as with ancient memory (chanter ability). Yes but wayfarers ability has a synergy with inspiring triumph and other low endurance/killing blow talents. Shieldbearer is a different build What i really don't like is that all these abilities affect only party members, not the paladin himself
  7. scion of decay/spirit of flame does not work with weapon buffs nor with flames of devotion: http://i62.tinypic.com/11to9e8.jpg I played pretty far with a similar build using the bleak walker, as a tank who starts the fight with a 125% damage bonus arbalest shot. What i can say about that is: - arbalest nerf really devalued this kind of build - paladin have horrible accuracy, most of the time that one shot will miss (on PotD) - paladin defences scales well, thanks to faith and conviction and - roleplaying agressive/cruel is fun If you want to play a paladin as main character, i would rather go with kind wayfarer 2handed DPS type who try to get killing blows to activate strange mercy and inspiring triumph. Both strange mercy and Sword and the shepherd is affected by might and int. Ofcourse you would have to roleplay passionate/benevolent, which is almost as boring as stoic/rational
  8. No. Neither does it affect the paladins flames of devotion ability. I also tested in combat, the result is the same
