Another negative point to third edition rules. Ruined all the fun of AD&D by throwing in a punch of nit picking rules.

I never played thieves to their full potential. They are used as trap finders or picking locks. Otherwise they are a regular full combat party memeber.

I prefer heros who have greatness thrust upon them and they don't take it willingly or fallen heros.

Alora a better pick pocket. Sounds like a racial sterotype against halflings.

The BG1 NPCs were nothing but pack mules. All they did was complain when you didn't do their quest or if your deeds countered their ideals. But I liked the variety of classes, alignments and races you could choice from.

I prefered Imoen or Alora as a thief. One thing BG1 had going for it, is the many npcs that could join your party.

That would be a good thing, plus his swords as well.

He seemed like a slippery sort. He was a good player to try and beat besides the Champ.

I haven't even read any of the books, and I still don't like him I was tired of him after that first encounter in BG1 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I used to be a fan of his. Than Salvatore made him unbelievable and boring. Killing him BG1 and BG2 was good fun.
