Blacks and Asian Clashed in America Over the Weekend (2/20/16-2/21/16)

Being trans-ktchong isn't identity theft! You're transphobic! -
Seems like Nintendo trademarked "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" after announcing a Pokémon based Nintendo Direct. What's next, Pokémon Washer and Pokémon Dryer?

Guys, how does this identity politics stuff work? Can I identify as specific people? Can I identify as, say, another poster? Can I then apologize for making threads? -
Gosh, I had no idea that term had alternate meanings. Thanks, Raithe, and thanks Urban Dictionary!

Why do people watch/love "Let's play..." videos?
Blarghagh replied to Heijoushin's topic in Computer and Console
Oh yeah, nevermind how many people make blind Let's Plays (i.e. first time playing) and label them as "walkthrough" or "full playthrough". People who do that need to get slapped. -

Speaking of which! *points at your signature* -
They pay tribute to it in the movie where he describes himself as having been bitten by a radioactive Shar-pei.

Haha, Jesse plays games so differently to me. His OCD run of Dragon Age is hilarious, but I also enjoy how half his Witcher 3 videos are him playing Gwent. -

I generally only watch longform Let's Plays if I find the player funny. I couldn't care less about Mario Maker but seeing the Game Grumps make stupid jokes has gotten me through some 60 episodes. -

My personal experience: - Do people watch Let's Plays in their free time? I generally put them on when I'm doing something else. Sometimes I watch a Let's Play *while* I'm playing a game. - Compared to playing the game yourself: It's generally not about the game but about the performer. Let's Plays started getting popular with horror games originally, where you could laugh at other people getting their pants scared off and it just grew into people attempting entertaining commentary. - I watch Let's Plays mostly if the player has a different perspective (Jesse Cox gaming style is completely different to mine) or I find the player(s) funny (Game Grumps makes me laugh). - The most popular LPers fit Rosbjerg's description like Pewdiepie and Markiplier but they're outliers more than anything. Those guys are totally based on a sense of community (Pewds with his bro army and Mark constantly adressing you, the watcher like you're his personal friend) - but, as far as I can tell their fanbase exists mostly out of 13 year olds - I think it's safe to assume that's not who your colleagues are watching. Out of the Lets Players I watch, only about one or two even have a face cam and very few pander to the community. It's also not all single player, most of the stuff I watch is multiple people. - It's more entertaining than most stuff on TV. TV comedy seems to be almost entirely lost on me these days (other than Galavant, I can't think of a single comedy show that made me laugh in the past 3 months) but I can watch a 3 hour video of a bunch of Lets Players getting together and playing a board game through Board Game Simulator and I'll laugh until I cry. -
Could be it. It reminded me of a time I overcleaned fidgety mocap and I ended up with something that moved almost like a real person, but just so slightly slower and stiffer that it made it look creepy as hell.

Who is number 11?
-
There was something incredibly off about the way he moved, which surprised me as director Tim Miller's background is as a CG director.

"Without him, the MMA fighter, his wife, and best friend, the movie would have sucked." But that's half the cast? I think most movies suck if you suddenly cut out half the cast. You're right about the flashbacks. I kept whispering "he's back on the island" to my girlfriend in reference to how much we hate the flashbacks in Arrow because that's what it was starting to remind me of. I was so happy when Deadpool said "all caught up!"

Looks like it would be fun in those moving D-Box seats.

This explains why more people respond to me nowadays.

Obviously I don't currently use it. If I put, say, russian trolls or something on my ignore list I wouldn't see their posts that obviously don't adhere to the forum guidelines, now could I?
-
Not really. I've used the ignore list before. Not because I can't take criticism or "badthink" but because some people just never post anything worth reading. Might as well read poems on a bathroom wall. Here I sit all broken hearted... came to **** but couldn't because of patriarchy. Snrk!

Hah, yes I agree but I was actually referencing

Deadpool is the best Deadpool.

His name is Wash and he soared like a leaf on the wind! Have some respect! I saw Deadpool with my ladyfriend because *drumroll* it's the movie she wanted to see.

It has nothing to do with how all-knowing they are and everything to do with how many of them there are. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/space/12123223/Faked-Moon-landing-would-have-been-exposed-within-four-years-scientist-concludes.html
