  1. You think you're a nerd, but seeing that book immediately makes me think of Magneto reading it in his plastic prison in X-men 2.
  2. I feel like it was trying to deconstruct the whole "children superheroes" like X-Men's school and Batman's wards and show what happens to kids actually treated like that. I can't say it was entirely succesful, but I enjoyed it. Mostly because of Hazel and Klaus.
  3. Nice. Don't have to bother with Epic OR Steam.
  4. I'd put it a little below Dr. Strange.
  5. Let's play the ball and not each other. That means you too, Gfted.
  6. That looks suspiciously like someone else's thoughts.
  7. Word is Smith got replaced with Idris Elba.
  8. But is it any good?
  9. Good to know 25% is when you start throwing excrement. I kid, I kid. Anyway, lets not attack each other.
  10. She smirks as she says it, I took it she was being funny. I don't recall the line being in the movie. Doesn't mean it wasn't, I just don't recall. That horrible "I'm going to end it" line definitely isn't.
  11. Even as someone who enjoyed Captain Marvel, I have to admit she shows more panache in that clip without saying anything than she had in her own movie. Also prepare for Thor and Carol being shipped until the world ends.
  12. 455 million? I stand corrected. That's going to get to the billion mark. Having a little chuckle at it already beating out Alita. Looks like #AlitaChallenge was a bust. Not that I have anything against that movie, I haven't seen it. The trailers creep me out tbh.
  13. Only two standalones did, Iron Man 3 and Black Panther. The only other billion dollar ones are Avengers ensembles. 800 million worldwide is more in line with positively received standalones like Spiderman Homecoming and Doctor Strange.
  14. Who is expecting this movie to make a billion dollars? This feminism nontroversy is ridiculous but what on earth is that number based on? 800 million seems like best case scenario. If this movie makes more than that, it could only be if that "boycott" backfires spectacularly.
  15. Yeah, I don't feel like it's as important as Black Panther was to Infinity War, which wasn't very.
  16. Captain Marvel was fine I guess. Enjoyed it but it seems pretty forgettable.
  17. RIP Keith Flint, frontman of The Prodigy.
  18. I thought the costumes in general were pretty bad, with Black Manta's power rangers level outfit being the worst offender. Otherwise really good pulpy fun. I don't normally watch found footage horror, but a friend recommended "Hell House LLC" which managed to seriously creep me out on multiple occassions. Group of people building massive halloween haunted house in old hotel get more than they bargained for. Gets kinda dumb by the end though.
  19. Started The Umbrella Academy. It's entertaining, but I think I might be tired of superhero TV (strangely, movies I'm fine with).
  20. Watching it right now. Finished The Dragon Prince. Fantastic animated show, as long as it doesn't get cancelled it might become one of the best. Also saw Russian Doll. Meh! Every single character was unlikeable.
  21. Dreamt I had to walk barefoot across the street but there were wasps on the ground everywhere. As far as my dreams go, it was pretty tame.
  22. Uh, please don't tell me that's still going? I was a (bigger) fan of the DM of the Rings series that it apes, but I followed D&D for probably a year or so when it first started before I realized that I simply like reading and watching stuff in a big chunk rather than piecemeal weekly and decided I'd wait a few years before coming back...and I never did. It's been many years now. Well, they have finished both the prequels and the OT at this point. Essentially until the next flick it's in maintanance mode, and Return of the Jedi felt like an ending.
  23. Does anybody read Darths & Droids? Midichlorian transfusions are a major and hilarious plotpoint in that.
