  1. Any news on when beta patch 1.06 will be released for testing?
  2. OK my load/save time delay fixed Reduced my save games from 383 to 30 From clicking on Load Game it now opens my saves instantaneously (same with clicking on Save Game) From there it takes less than 10s load the save With auto save disabled/reduced with IE Mod, area transitions less than 10s My question is why is the amount of saves causing the delay? Could it be that the game is also trying to access/synchronize your saves through Steam Cloud while it is accessing your saves on your HDD?

  4. Backup my saves to another folder, then delete old saves in game, as Steam will just copy them back? Just need to make sure this reduces the delay before I start with the spring cleaning exercise?
  5. Auto saving is affecting the area transition load times as far as I am aware. You can disable autosave or set the frequency with IE Mod. I disabled autosave and it takes about 5s to load between areas My problem is when I click on Load Game to get to my saves, it takes between 40-60s (it takes about the same time when I try to save a game) From there it takes less than 10s to load the save
  6. Any fix yet on the long load/save times for some of you? Does it help to delete some of your saves? I have 383 saves in my folder...

  8. Just to report back and confirm the changes I made to my AV, more than a week ago, definitely fixed the problem for me. Not one re-occurrence since then It looks like it was specifically something under the exclusions tab for Pillars with my AV that fixed the problem
  9. IE Mod already has AI and XP features like SCS Sorry, idiot me uploaded the wrong screenshot few posts above of the IE Mod interface. Looks like you can only edit once
  10. I am sure both, but who cares? Great work from both the developers and the guys over at IE Mod, with regular updates coming from both, let us continue to enjoy this awesome game All the changes coming with 1.05 , shows the developers really care about the game and what the community thinks
  11. A lot of fixes and new features with the upcoming patch 1.05 There's a new option to reset newly recruited companions to level 1 (without losing the experience). This will allow you to level up companions to your liking.
  12. Hi BAdler, Will the long load/save times experienced be addressed with this new save system?
  13. Thanks for the update Darren. Some really cool new features like resetting companions Will the long load/save times be addressed in this patch, not sure if the following is part of it?: General Fixes Allow quick-loading when UI windows, like dialogue, are up. I see BAdler talks about a new save system under the 1.05 patch beta post?
  14. IE Mod works great, I used it mainly to re-balance my companion's attributes, abilities, skills and talents, as they are not that great There are a lot of cool features as well, like the autosave option that helps with long save/load times during area transitions, until the Obsidian devs can fix the problem Some screenshots below of the mod which latches on to your options menu:
  15. For me, before I made the change, the buttons would grey out, no matter if I clicked on the first splash screen to skip through, or let it run through the kickstarter screen Will report back if the issue re-occurs
  16. The issue has not re-occurred since yesterday when I made the change. I also restarted my PC and Pillars several times since then, buttons not greyed out anymore So touch wood...
  17. OK correction, restarting my PC didn't fix the problem I checked my AV program and Pillars were marked as "low restricted", changed it to "trusted", problem solved
  18. No, with the IE Mod you don't need to use "IRoll20's". Using "IRoll20's" will also disable achievements: http://rien-ici.com/iemod/console/ Check point 19 for the command you need
  19. I also have the same issue for a while now already, even before the latest patch. Restarting the game a few times sometimes works, but what works every time is to restart my PC
  20. The IE Mod is great, it has a lot of cool features, but I mainly use it to re-balance the companions' attributes, abilities and talents as the companion builds are not so great. I stay within the total allocated attribute points and just swop unwanted talents/abilities around to suit a better companion build and not to make it unbalanced Really hope Bester decides to continue supporting IE Mod
  21. I still think Pillars is the best cRPG since and in the mould of BG1, BG2, Planescape Torment, IWD1 and IWD2. Would have preferred it to be D&D based with the tried and tested rule sets, I am sure the combat would have been much better. But then again that does not guarantee anything. The whole Neverwinter Nights series was a huge disappointment for me Since then everybody have tried to create a "spiritual successor" to Baldur's gate and just couldn't cut it. Dragon Age Origins tried with it's own non-D&D system and failed. Divinity: Original Sin recently had a lot of promise, but I grew tired of it and it's rule system very quickly I have to agree with Sensuki on the tactical combat side of the game, but I am still enjoying combat as is. Hopefully with threads like these and the positive input from everyone, the developers take notice and improve the combat system with their regular patches or upcoming expansions To Sensuki, don't give up so easily on the game, thought you Aussies had more fight in you I think you can still contribute a lot more to this game and community. Respect to all the effort and hours you already put into beta testing, all the video guides, IE Mod, etc.
  22. Hi Sensuki, Just want to thank you again on all your hard work on these guides, really appreciated Playing the rogue as main on hard and enjoying it. Funnily enough, for all my cRPG playing years, it's the first time as main This game is amazing! Taking me back all those years to BG, IWD and Torment. Nostalgia realised in 2015 and doing justice for sure Good luck with the Cricket World Cup Final tomorrow
  23. Thanks for doing the druid build And good luck for the final against the Kiwis, they got lucky against us in the semis
  24. Hi Sensuki, I think you guys got the game in the bag, India lost too many wickets Do you think you could do a druid build?
