I can't figure out how to pay hirelings. I've always had enough to pay them, but all of my hirelings left - I assume due to not getting paid.

I'm enjoying the game so far, but this is one of the more unpleasant design decisions they made. Making me run back to an inn to resupply when I'm in the middle of a dungeon... it doesnt add challenge, it is just a time waster and not fun. A better system would have been adding a chance to be interrupted and attacked during rest.

Yes, you can still get all the in game companions even if you make your max number of adventurers ( 8 )

anyone know what you have to do in order to collect taxes?

Can anyone tell me where the house is? I found the stronghold but not the house. Is the house the inn-like building where you sleep? Also, how do I collect taxes from the stronghold?

Yep, you can only have 8 player made companions on your roster. I am fairly early in the game so I don't know if there is a way to raise it later or not.

Ahh, and their only sin was being born... created I suppose. Thanks for the answer, I will have to resort to murder in this case.

I'm talking about playermade ones though as it seems you can only create 8 max on your roster

Can anyone tell me how to completly delete an adventurer? It is telling me I can only hire 8. I have hired 8 and want to try a different class.

Does anyone ever worry that they will say something nasty to a troll on the steam forums and have their account ban? Would suck to lose all my games like that. Having said that, I like Gabe's policies and how he is actively fighting against the tyranny of evil (Windows) by releasing his steambox with a Linux OS. That is something I am happy to support.

There is no necromancer class yet, but hopefully we'll get one in an expansion.
