If the adventurer permanently dies, you can then hire a new one to replace him even if he was your 8th adventurer. There's no hard limit. so you can just kill them yourself if you want new adventurers? is there some reputation penalty or other negative consequence?

You can already do that open the keyboard controls from menu and remap tab to toggle (I think you move it one down)

Cipher looks like a more unique character so I'd go with that Though the Druid is also pretty cool Just plan on doing 2 playthroughs
