  1. where is OLD SCHOOL WHEELMAN at a time like this?
  2. So Pixie, I'm going to college too RUTGERS '14 (just kidding. but really I am). anyway, I figure you should transfer so we can be roomies!
  3. That's the only reason I can't justify buying PC for gaming. Spending 1k on a computer just to play video games (unless you are doing some sort of editing and need a system for that) seems a little ridiculous to me. Cost efficiency is the reason I play consoles now. I'm not trying to start a flamewar, just making the observation that, even if you only upgrade once every 5 years (which I doubt), I still only pay $400 for a console.
  4. The Gaslight Anthem Pretty much new-age Bruce Springsteen. He's even played a few songs with them live.
  5. No, didn't you hear? I'M A STRUGGLING ALCOHOLIC DROWNING MY MEMORIES OF VIETNAM
  6. thats a sign of alcoholism gene pal or just a sign of being smart enough to know when to stop, and to drink lots of water before bed, and to sleep in nice and late Ah denial. Very classic. Maybe it's time for some treatment? You're right, I've been drinking heavily for the last 10 years and I'm in denial and I drown my sorrows in bottles of cheap whiskey...all before my 19th birthday. You lose.

  8. Pokemon HeartGold. Nostalgia factor is awesome and the games are still entertaining.
  9. I got very drunk last night. For some reason I don't really get hungover too often, which is good.
  10. lol filters to a smile?
  11. **** yeah Weezer! But didn't Blink 182 disband years ago? I'll take it they got back together fairly recently... As for their music, ehhh I like a few of their songs but I wouldn't call myself a fan. Got back together last year, so we saw them on their reunion tour.
  12. I've seen Weezer before. They play a pretty good set live. Hopefully they won't play too much new stuff. Kevin Devine is cool too. I had my first session with the shrink counsellor today. It was...emotional. Aside from that, I went to the gym for the first time in forever, and have been spending the evening preparing meals for the week ahead. I saw Weezer last summer on tour with Blink-182 (Weezer blew blink out of the water). Never seen Devine though so that should be fun. As for the counselor, it was never really my cup of tea but it did wonders for my sister so keep at it!
  13. bought tickets for new jersey's annual Bamboozle festival. it's usually a bunch of no-name bands mixed in with a few headliners. only going to see Weezer and Kevin Devine.
  14. All Ovechkin has to do in this situation is take one more step and go shoulder to shoulder, or not hit all. Zach Parise got absolutely demolished in a similar hit at the last Devils game, but the difference was the guy got under his shoulder rather than shoving from behind.
  15. That reminds me of a ice storm we had here in Iowa a few years back. There was this one very large and very old tree that broke in four sections. Two fell toward the house but it fell as a "V" so the main trunks missed hitting it. The one of the other two sections struck a house across the street. Power lines were down everywhere as well. There was a quarter inch think of ice coating everything. It took the city to clean up all the mess till the end of summer. During the actual storm a friend and I drove around for quite a bit. It was pretty eerie seeing my town (a very crowded suburb of New York City) in complete darkness. Downed power lines were pretty much everywhere you looked and all you could hear was the howling of the wind and police sirens in the distance. At one point we almost drove directly into a downed tree laying across one of the busier roads in town. It was bade enough that they were directing traffic through someone's front yard, and through a parking lot of a funeral home in another place. Other highlights were the 3 transformers (not Autobots though) that blew up in front (or above) us. I actually wished I had taken a camera out with me cause there was so potential for some awesome shots. I've never seen a Christmas tree hanging from a power line before.
  16. School's been canceled today and tomorrow due to the storm. Trees are still down on relatively every side street and about half the town doesn't have power (luckily I do).
  17. Just got Borderlands (360 version) for some fun with friends. Pretty awesome so far. Also, Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes came out today...Nostalgia!
  18. Dude how did you get so awesome?
  19. Just got power back after a pretty nasty storm (or at least for northern New Jersey). the 16 hours without power was tragic
  20. No...he's a hockey player there's a difference
  21. how's bad company 2? the demo thing they put out was cool
  22. Fallout 3 will take the longest about 120 hours with expansions if you do everything, Call of Duty 4 the shortest. You have a choice of some great games. GTA 4 just blew me away and I recently completed another playthrough where I finally got 100%. Took about 50 hours + 15 a piece for the expansions. Mass Effect 1 & 2 take about 40-50 hours each. ME1 and ME2 do not take 50 hours each man, unless you're playing with one hand.
  23. Yeah, I'd highly recommend the game to anyone, hockey fan or not. They've made some awesome adjustments to the game (starting back in 07) and it's only gotten better. Do they even have online co-op seasons yet? Not getting a new one until they do. Online co-op seasons? I don't know what you mean by that but the thing you + moron would be interested in would be Online Team Play. Basically, each player controls an individual on the ice, you can have up to 6 people per team (one per position, obviously). You can form your own team and you'll be in the league, your teams record and stats as well as individual stats are kept also.
