Fighter/Ranger option for Edér, pretty please…

Well then. Make all (priest?) spells mana-based (no slots). Those lower than half your maximum spell level give you mana, while the upper part costs mana to cast. The larger the difference between the spell level and that maximum spell level / 2 the higher the gain/cost. Want some storms of fireness? Better cast some blessings first!
And when you are ready the battle is already over. -
Dopsim hates the forum community and wanted to leave us. But obviously he can't let go. We are just too charming. So cut him some slack.
I suspect someone is abusing whisper of treason…

Honestly, what is the point of replacing a letter with a quote? The letter would convey more information, especially considering that this forum is read by many people whose primary language is not English. What is the reason for this? I am genuinely curious.
Staying in character.

Modals to convert all weapon damage to energy type (maybe even spell damage if possible), but you can take only one.

But can Obsidian make sure that each one of the potential players will be able to start and play the game? And what would that involve? What steps they need to take to guarantee and be absolutely certain that no player will suffer what Mac users suffered? Or the import bug and the other deal breakers?
It's simple. You can't be “absolutely certain” in anything, but it doesn't mean it's impossible to do anything at all. On day 1 bug forum exploded with reports. You let your players test things and then actually read their reports. It isn't exactly rocket science.
And we aren't talking about abstract bugs that depend on hardware configuration or minor bugs which only happen when you do something obscure in a remote corner of the map when it is Tuesday here.
-
What's more, some of the bugs cannot be discovered at all with in house testing, because of the huge variety of computer configurations out there.
Some dealbreaker bugs can and they don't depend on PC configuration. You know, import, respec and stuff. Bug-free programs likely don't exict, but games which you can actually start playing do.
-
I expected bugs, personally. Just not the broken import, relationships and respec. Still waiting for my (one and only) playthrough.
Relationships were fixed in the second patch released over a week ago now. The Respec issue is not a bug, it's just a feature a lot of people would like. Import was also fixed over a week ago.
People keep parroting this game has X bug, and largely what I am seeing is people talking about release bugs that are either already fixed or are not really bugs but feature requests. POTD difficulty is also not a bug btw, it is a balance issue, one they have already addressed will be improved in the next 2 patches.
Losing abilities while respeccing is a feature? Whatever floats your boat, man.
And no, not everything is fixed.

That was a seriously well-hidden DLC.
Yeah, I accidentally read somewhere myself. Feels kind of weird jumping through the hoops when they can push stuff I don't need without any trouble (Wasteland, for example).

Don't have anything like that under either POE1 or POE2 on GOG Is this something we should all have access to? I backed both games, although the first one was as a slacker backer directly with Obsidian. Bought WM1+WM2 the normal way, and at some point the base edition on GOG got upgraded to Ultimate or whatever it's called. No sign of any Gaun's Pledge though.

From playing PoE1 I got the feeling that the only people who can afford to be totally honest are killing beasts (people often don't appreciate honest answers). Basically, if you see an honest man be on your guard. I found that kind of amusing, even if it was just my impression on how things worked.
Ha. Any examples salamander?
Hmm, well, there was a certain quest (one of the early ones, maybe?) where a group of people was searching for someone, and when I did find the one, my character understood that their story wasn't quite what they sold me. So she let the person go. Then I came back and my character said the truth. Understandably, they weren't amused, although I'm not quite sure their decision to attack a group of armed “hobos” was a smart move. And it's not like they had any power over my character, so, why attack me? Although that part is a bit fuzzy in my mind by now.
My character is deadly truthful priestess of Eothas, I guess

What about a DLC for no-fun-allowed people like us, those who don't do alcohol?

Is a Steam only reward? I dont see in my GoG version.
You can find the code to redeem it under PoE1 in your games.

2. Peaceful resolutions. At one pt in PoE1 I started to feel guilty for all the slaughtering I was doing. But I didn't feel like I had options. Not the case in PoE2.

That's what I'm talking about, though. Skip as in completely. And you won't get any loot as a result, of course.
That is not a good solution at all, there are ship bounties. And there is a main story mechanic where enemy ships (fire giants) guard one place on the map using ships. Removing the mechanic completely would break those interactions.
Which only “breaks” if for those who don't want it at all. Which is… not a problem in my book.
-
There is basically a skip to deck fight, but you take dmg to your ship. You can't skip it entirelly you need to somehow resolve the combat.

Skip button would be preferable. Restarting a game to get rid of something you don't like in its gameplay is kinda not user-friendly (which is important for those of us who only play it once). Maybe make it an option so it won't bother people who actually like ship combat.

If they had time for that sort of thing I'd rather prefer all those numerious skills be accessible to all so one can make more meaningful choices.

I happen to think mini-games in RPGs is a mistake, tbh. It's kinda nice when you like it (but then again if I wanted a different kind of game I'd play another game instead) and damn horrible when you don't.

Well, you would not not cast spells in PoE 1, especially later on with the per encounter spells. But you could not go all out in every fight (or you could but then you'd have to rest a lot).
I view spells more as a strategical resource that you have to use wisely when you need them, i guess that's from my old D&D days.
I do the same thing in any game where spells are a very limited resource, including mana-based systems. Outside of boss fights unless I've found some roundabout way to recover something I'm going to spend I don't. It feels weird to me, and I don't think that works really well in PC-based games. At least it doesn't for me.
Which doesn't usually stop me from playing those games, but still I think that things can be improved somehow. At least with mana-based system you can have some sort of auto-recovery with time, although I'm not sure I actually played any that did it (nothing comes to mind at the moment).

I still wish they would have kept poe 1's casing system, with per rest spells, it feels weird to me to be able to cast so many spells every encounter. And yet sometimes i wish i could cast more spells of a particular level in a fight.
I'd rather say that playing a wizard and not casting spells is much more weird.
Why does every class have to have magic?

I think it's the opposite. We need more of the stuff. Just “import” the whole Tome of battle somehow.
